  1. And where did Marko poach his new drivetrain staff from?
  2. Ok, the cab switch is an override for the radiator temperature sensor. Neither of these have anything to do with the (mechanical) thermostat, which is in the cylinder block. Done right, the override should be something like permanent live cable from battery to cab switch. Then switched live feed from switch to fan live, and use the existing fan earth.
  3. Also, does the battery light come on when he first switches the ignition on?
  4. As @sepulchravesaid "Come home to a real fire, buy a Zafira". This isn't even a joke; I nicked into the local Co-op to buy my tea one night, and there was a Zafira parked outside. When I came back out, it was more or less burnt out.
  5. Ask, and draw inferences if they refuse.
  6. I'd go with the black and chrome logo, but no lettering, or a complete debadge.
  7. Well, in the first place 2 of those wheels won't fit your car.
  8. Gave to old girl a birthday clean this weekend. 20 years old and still slaying the Mustangs like a King.
  9. Unlikely; the best benefit from an intercooler related mod with a standard or generic map is some extra ventilation in the RH inner wheel liner, so heat gets out faster.
  10. Ah, I was thinking mostly of exhaust manifolds, primary downpipes and turbos.
  11. Most competition cars I've seen IRL use a white woven heat shield, which does discolour, but not enough to bother the drivers.
  12. All 4 glow plugs are completely goosed.
  13. If I'm reading this correctly, you've stripped the thread in the headlight shell. This means you need a replacement.
  14. Save your money; you won't get induction whoosh, and if you did it's annoying when you try t drive more than about 5 miles.
  15. Don't even think about biodiesel then; you'll save a little on fuel, until the engine and injectors sieze.
  16. @Lynn67 I'd budget for the bushes, but unless you have asymmetrical tyre wear, leave them until they fail. I've known other similar faults "go away" between one MoT and the next.
  17. I didn't see the car with the blowing flexi, but that could have sucked in air between the lambda probes, giving the appearance of lean running as per the fault code.
  18. I didn't say that; I said that every example of ethylene glycol I'd seen was blue or green, and every example of an OAT was some sort of pink, or orange.
  19. 2 x AA, cos they're both yellow and not blue.
  20. Well, it is for certain values of "maintenance free". As long as there's a drain and a fill bung, I'd change the oil every 80_000 miles or so (or if it's a 2 hour job, get a local garage to do it. The not getting covered in used transmission oil is worth £100).
  21. Not as such, but look for ones specifically designed to allow correct operation of Superb seat airbags. Assume that anyone not making this statement does not offer this feature.
  22. Apparently, yes. For myself, I'm saying I want a car to be as cheap, light and quiet as possible. An engine synthesisor increases cost, mass and noise.
  23. Well, if you actually want a "working" (for discussed values of "working") Fleabay resistor mod... see resistor colour codes.
