@Shuttlebasher @skomaz @Routemaster1461 It would never have occurred to me to call those "grommets" - an eyelet placed in a hole to protect or insulate a rope or cable passed through it or to reinforce the hole"
  2. I think you mean "having Lane Enforce inflicted on me".
  3. TSR - I make 60mph to be 96kph using 8/5. Which suggests either a wrong conversion factor or a wrong value in a look up table. ACC - No comment beyond that both issues are common when people insist on using this highly flawed software.

They're a fairly small range of diameters. Accessory shops used to sell mixed packs of grommets (and blanking plugs).
  5. The temp sensor gives the EMS information which is used to determine how much (if any) cold enrichment is required.
  6. No. I've never been to Cairn Lodge or Gloucester services though.
  7. OTOH Westmoreland Farm Shops, who are a planned stop for many Scots travelling to and from the Peak District, North Wales and points South, were also an early adopter of EV hubs.
  8. It could be the injector or the injector pipe, or the electronics controlling the injector, or the electronics controlling the coil pack, or the LT wiring to the coil pack... There's another 5 guesses for your parts cannon.
  9. quote + title make me wonder about head gasket failure. I suggest doing a chemical sniffer test on the coolant.
  10. Well, locking the car with the key should at least disable the volumetric alarm functions if not the perimeter alarm.
  11. Has the new battery been coded in to the car?
  12. @Sossages - despite some of the statements in this thread, transport blocks lock the suspension extended and hence with excess positive camber, which might cause damage on the outside shoulders.
  13. back up thread I said "service station", not "supermarket".
  14. Yes, well it really is sensible practice to replace Nylocs with new nuts every time they're undone because the nylon thread you cut when fitting the nut is all that holds it in place.
  15. Well, the gauge is marked as a power gauge; is the car a hybrid?
  16. From the drawing, #5 is a Nyloc.
  17. @Sossages - As others, this is clearly the supplying dealer's fault, and what else have they missed? If you're in Englandshire (not stated), you could raise a Small Claims action for less than the price of the tyres.
  18. Well, I'm olde skool but I think they'd look better with white discs.
  19. Hard to forget when you read the saga in real time?
  20. Look up BossFox's Citigogo then.
  21. As far as I can see, the discs look pretty normal because there is no rust on the wearing surface, just on the hub and outer edge. The wheel nut covers are a different matter though.
  22. Max Verstappen - "Races should be won on the track." Jackie Stewart - "To finish first, first you have to finish."
  23. @Slick2097 - You might consider treating the front disc backplates with Copaslip. If you're unhappy working with brakes, go to a local garage, not a Skoda main stealer.
