  1. I think I have a punning clan for recoding the battery.
  2. @Danoid As @SurreyJohn says, with the note that there is definitely something wrong if you don't have one fan running on low speed. I suggest looking up Air Conditioning Services or Garage Services in Yellow Pages (or on http://www.yell.com ), but don't waste your money on going to a Skoda Main Stealer.
  3. A thicker oil might, repeat might stop the pressure light flickering, but it won't address an underlying issue with any of the pressure transducer, the oil pump, the oil pickup or the filter. If the issue is the filter, a new filter and thicker oil might address the issues, but then a new quality filter would have done that with the recommended oils.
  4. 2023 cars are mk4, not mk3,
  5. Flat battery or charging system not working correctly?
  6. Also @123ashleyp23 - This should only apply if your car has Stop/Start fitted.
  7. I'm reasonably confident that most, if not all, of those will clear and not repeat for 2 or 3 years.
  8. OK, this means there is an engine fault. The first thing to do is read the fault codes, and then report back as to what the fault number and narrative entry actually are.
  9. Well, it could be that you've convinced the EMS that the car has been stolen.
  10. I got that. My point was that I will unfold and then check the mirror adjustments before driving off every time I use the function.
  11. I'd say so, particularly when it's attached to a large hunk of cast metal.
  12. @Kiwiana - I think that both @ColinD and @AnnoyingPentium have plausible theories, most likely near the fuel tank either way.
  13. Well as general advice, IME transmission and exhaust noises sound totally different. Cheapest thing to check first would be to go to a local garage or good fast fit place (they do exist) and ask them to check if the exhaust is striking the body or transmission.
  14. If the oil pressure switch is working correctly it's possible that the pickup is partly fouled. Sadly, the only way to (dis)prove that requires dropping the oil sump.
  15. Do you have free access to a full-size moving floor wind tunnel?
  16. Is there any marking cast into the calipers, possibly the code "DS3"?
  17. I don't think the cables are over-stretched. It's possible that the outer sheaths are just starting to corrode through?
  18. How many clicks to HB full on? Have you tried actively pushing the HB down or do you just let the return spring (and gravity) do all the work?
  19. No idea. Still, I'm wondering more about worn piston rings and/or valve stem oil seals.
  20. OK, so not indicating an oil change is due.
  21. So steering sensor, ABS and traction control then. Check the battery is holding a good charge (actual charge, not just starting well).
  22. I can see 6 "idiot lights" on the facia, so which 3?
  23. 16" VAG wheels should fit over 280mm discs, and I think 288mm.
