  1. You're a doctor, not an engineer, Bones.
  2. OK, when you "adjust" the high low flow settings, can you hear the fan speed changing?
  3. I'd expect A for Audi to come in at less, by not charging you for having a new car showroom.
  4. If you're happy to have it moved, self-report your original post using the ellipsis (...) top right, and a fault of "post in wrong forum".
  5. Not a chance; the "chrome" plating is actually vacuum plated nickel with a layer of chromium (which is transparent, and very sharp) over it, and no model paint even looks similar.
  6. Outer pads are low but still OK. I make no judgement as to the inner pads.
  7. I'd say at least one of the pads has gone through to the backplate. Do not drive the car again until you've changed them. Incidentally, any MOT inspection of brakes other than an efficiency test will be an assembled visual inspection only. As for what JR said, the dust shields are not part of the MoT anyway.
  8. And which led to my finding the "Skelmorlie Secret Bunker" at 55.834160, -4.885608 .
  9. That's exactly the point I made upthread...
  10. Do you smell exhaust at any speed with the ventilation set to exterior rather than recirculate?
  11. Well there's your answer; the Main Stealer clearly doesn't feel they need your business.
  12. All that proves is that the silhouette was printed onto the panel; it does not prove that there is a luminaire behind the silhouette.
  13. Look on Yell.com for an automotive air conditioning specialist you're prepared to travel to.
  14. Correct. Not that you can see that anyway unless you remove the discs because disc shields in both photos.
  15. I presume you mean a "new disc"; I'm quite used to a thin ring or rust colour, maybe 1mm, around the outer edge of a disc that's maybe 3 or 4 months old.
  16. I wouldn't be replacing those discs based on your photos.
  17. Ok, now explain how a routine 3_000 mile oil change broke the oil light's pressure transducer by getting carbon into it despite sticking to the service routine.
  18. If that's a concern, slow down to 90 for 10 minutes in the hour. Sorted.
  19. What engine code?
  20. It may do, depending on the fault code and whether or not limp mode is activated. If limp mode is activated you won't have to ask... Yes and no. Their main function is in getting the car started, but they may remain activated until it reaches running temperature.
  21. VCDS or OBD11.
  22. SIzing information is literally cast into the rims, probably the inside.
