@gumdrop What @olderman1 just said, with the additional note that you don't always have to depart from a marked lane (deliberately or otherwise) for Lane Enforce to decide that it knows better than you do where your car should be positioned, even though you can see stuff it can't.
  2. I'd suspect a lichen, unless it's maybe 1cm deep which will be a moss.
  3. Which reminds me; try changing the pollen filter (but not until the weather is warmer).
  4. You could try explicitly switching the heater/AC off before switching the engine off.
  5. Similar thoughts about HGF (or if you're very lucky you just need a new pressure cap).
  6. @spectrumz80 - I think I agree about the drum locking on. On most cars I've worked on the spare wheel hold has been offset, bolting through one of the wheel bolt holes rather than though the centre spindle. Ref tests, I don't know your NCT, but a UK MoT does not test the spare tyre (not that it would matter since it's not compulsory to have one (source MoT testers)).
  7. That's most unlikely to be an economic prospect unless you had a set of Unobtainium Ultra-lite rims or similar. In any event, AIUI they only have to offer you the chance to retain a vehicle that's classified as an economic write-off or is on agreed value.
  8. Big hint - The 1.6 engine is different to the 1.3, and has different mounts.
  9. That depends on your headlights. Some models can be adapted from wrong hand to left hand dipping but others need replacing. UK law demands that your speedo displays in mph. I'm not sure that you can do the adaption with a sticker. You will, at minimum, have to have the car UK MoT tested, so why not talk to an MoT centre that suits you about the requirements?
  10. Well, it was a V@*xh@11 Coarser.
  11. I'm thinking ~£20 per cylinder, and maybe £50 if you need new shoes. So £90 for parts and 1 hour for labour tops.
  12. Yes; the computers in the Octy 4 have never been right. There's a whole forum on this site about them.
  13. Will removing it give better access for the gear oil change (good call outsourcing that BTW; used gear oil stinks to high heaven)? If so, then push and hope or that way oversize tie-wrap were easier than trying to fit a right size clip on the pipe.
  14. Osram Nightbreakers every time, all night long. As for fitting,it may be that the one car has H4, and the other H7. The only way to know for sure is to take a bulb out and look.
  15. Exactly my point; "Factor is closed" is not a valid excuse for being unable to cost parts for $job.
  16. That's possible; advice about checking hydraulic fluid, and indeed electrical connectors to PAS motor is because those are way cheaper than a new motor. Prices vary but a new genuine motor on E-bay is at least £265 for the part.
  17. Also @JFJ Based on @akshayb photographs, those trims are alluminised plastic, not chrome. Just warning that if you really want chrome, that is not it.
  18. There are now 3 replies to your post, all citing different models and saying "you're wrong".
  19. Tell that to my 52 plate (Sept 2002 to Mar'03) car's 2 factory fitted reversing lights.
  20. You've really never seen rubber get heat hardened and cracked, or oil contaminated?
  21. Has he not heard of the internet!?
  22. ...but fitting a vRS front bumper with a standard rear or vice versa may look somewhat silly.
  23. You do have to pull quite hard sometimes to separate an H4 connector. I don't know what access on a Citigo is like, but you may be better to release the spring and pull with the bulb in one hand and the connector in the other.
