Octavia TDI overheating, water pump or blocked radiator
I think you already wondered about this, but my first thought was "water pump".

Digital Temperature Gauge Conversion For Favorit / Forman
How meaningful or otherwise your number are depends on how accurate your sensor and gauge both are, and how accurately they're cross-calibrated.

Anyone know any sporty/ load exhausts I could put on my MK2 Facelift 1.9 TDI?
I'm not sure there's any such thing. Years ago, my boss had a TDi (not VAG). The exhaust broke, effectively removing the back box, and suffering broken baffles in the central silencer. The only way we noticed (despite my ragging the car to 4_000 rpm uphill on my way to the exhaust place) was the broken rear section clanging on bumps.

Skoda specialists
No, but there's A for Audi in Glasgow and Bedrock VW in Motherwell.

Steep motor ralenti
Ok, according to Google the title means "steep engine idle", but I have no clear idea what that means either!

Anti-Rollbar Installation - MK1 Octavia vRS
In this case they mostly say "a relevant picture has already been posted" I think.

New Member hoping for advice
They're colloquially called "solar panels" (and indeed work better in direct sunlight), but are more correctly called "photo-voltaic panels". The point is that they generate some current any time it's light out, or even under a street light, rather than just when the sun shines directly on them.

tie-wraps or zip-ties. Most people understand both names.

EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
This is not a car, this is an electric quadricycle (source various including Citroen, French law).

New Battery Problem On Standard Skoda Superb 1.6 TDI 2012
Yes, at least if you just want to know what voltage the battery is returning/storing. No if you want to do a deep load test.
-
Off side rear door won’t open nor will window
Yes. However I forgot to say that you need to check the battery top strip fuses, not the fuse box in the car.

Ok, the alternator is definitely putting some charge back into the battery then.

Anti-Rollbar Installation - MK1 Octavia vRS
Pass. This being primarily a UK forum you might get on better in UK English, with "anti-roll bar" though.

Lane assist is dangerous
Yes you can. You should do "mirror, signal, mirror, manoeuvre", which means that you check your mirrors, signal, check mirrors again and then slow down (if required) before steering. Blindly "always signalling" does nothing to ensure that you have observed before braking.

Brake Regen
Do you see a point in being able to vary the pressure on your brake pedal? "Regen" is short for "regenerative braking" and slows the car just like the wheel brakes do.

New Battery Problem On Standard Skoda Superb 1.6 TDI 2012
This is entirely normal (even expected) behaviour for a home charger, tapering off the charge rate as the charge in the battery rises.

Insurers demanding license images for all named drivers. What is this new bull****?
@Jono - No idea what you're talking about. My insurer did not ask (and has never asked) for a licence image.

2016 Rapid - slightly oversized tyres a problem?
Well, to start with you're uninsured because you're driving a car with an undeclared modification (non-standard tyre size).

Lane assist is dangerous
I guess that's supposed to be aimed at me. Perhaps you'd like to go and find a post where I claim to be an IAM member then. (Hint, there aren't any)

octavia 2008 wiper blade size
No. What I normally do is go to the garage I use regularly and ask if I can borrow some that look the right sizes to measure them against the installed units. And somehow I always buy the right ones.

Different sized spare wheel.
True, but since the OP explicitly asks about a 125/80R18 spare, I don't know what point you think you're making unless it's "flybynite failed reading comprehension".

Off side rear door won’t open nor will window
Could be. Also, if you have real buttons and not a touch screen, try 10 minutes of flapperobics. This is actually free bar your time, then the pollen filter is cheaper than a regas by an aircon company, then you have a regas by a Skoda main stealer if you feel like wasting money. ABS is most likely one of the strip fuses on the battery box or else a sensor. 10 minutes of your time to check the fuses, and then read the codes to find out which corner the railed sensor (or wiring) is on.

Catalytic converter and exhaust for 2005 Octavia 4x4 petrol 2.0 FSI engine, code BLX
@Sidecarlady or a small chain. I can't name one that would help you, but I've never paid full retail for exhaust bits at a place with 1 to 6 branches.

Lane assist is dangerous
Yes, to the extent that I do always signal if my exit from the junction is blind to me on approach. That hardly applies if I'm the only vehicle on a linear mile of multi-lane road though (which does happen If you drive in or to and from Scotland).
