  1. Geia sou Patrida ! https://skoda-virt.cz/cz/clanky/elektrika/845-el-schemata-felicie/ Take a look above, click and enlarge the photos.
  2. I have used 3 brands of 10W-40, only the Amsoil could make the engine rev-up in mountain roads so good but it's very expensive. The other 2 ''couldn't make it'' so i am confused, maybe i will return to Mobil 1 15W-50, i don't know. 🙄
  3. I have Synthetic 5W-40 for few weeks now. In few days i will make a fuel consumption test with the new engine oil and i will post the results but as for the engine behaviour at high rpm and coolant temperature the 5W-40 is already one click ahead from my previous Synthetic 10W-40 oil.
  4. Coolant engine temperature was the same. Air intake temperature was a bit different due to the 2 different filters and in one case no filter at all and i thought that i would had different results. Same fuel, same coolant, almost same weather and the same 3:40 Cold start time? Tomorrow i will make another test, i have new engine oil. 😏
  5. I never had the thought to use 20W-30 in my Felicia. I have use in the past Mobil-1 15W-50 in three oil changes before i turn to Amsoil 10W-40. By the way the 5W-50 will do?
  6. The MAP sensor is the same in those 3 cases. I can't understand that with 3 occasions (in one experiment i had No filter at all ) the ECU does not understand the difference and the Cold start is the same. I will make another test with a new oil viscosity now that the Winter is coming.
  7. https://oilincar.com/skoda/felicia/1-1994-2001.php Summer -5 to +45 °C (it's like the temperatures that i have here) 20W-30 25W-30 No offence but i don't know how the car will rev-up with such a thick oil. With semi-synthetics 10W-40 the car hesitates at high rpm.
  8. Trying to ''enrich'' the conversation: So do i need 5w40 or 10W40? https://totalenergies.in/blogs/5w40-choosing-right-engine-oil-your-car The choice between 5w40 engine oil and an alternative like 10w40 depends on the winter temperature in your region. 5w40 is better for starting your engine at low temperatures as it flows more easily at these temperatures. When the engine is running and hot, 5w40 and 10w40 have high viscosities and are equally effective in protecting against engine wear. 5w40 vs 10w40 Engine Oil: Which One Is Best for Your Vehicle https://carfueladvisor.com/5w40-vs-10w40/ s 5w30 better than 5w40? Yes, 5w30 is a better option as it is suitable for vehicles of different types and is appropriate to use in different temperatures. Especially, it shows excellent performance in colder temperatures. 5w40 also shows good performance in low temperatures but they are more suitable for high mileage engines and warmer temperatures. Is 10w40 thicker than 5w40 At room temperature, both 5w40 and 10w40 oils show the same thickness. However, in a cold or freezing temperature, 10W40 engine oil is thicker than 5w40 oil. what cars use 10w40 oil 10w40 oils are best for cars with old engines, and for the ones that do not need to run in extreme weather. Commonly, drivers prefer 10w40 oils for cars that need a high mileage. Can I use 5w40 instead of 15w40? In most cases, it would be okay to use a 5w40 oil instead of a 15w40 oil. The 5w40 oils will indeed show a better performance in the colder temperatures. Can I use 10w40 instead of 5w40? 5w40 offers better start-up protection and the smallest bit of fuel economy for the initial 5-10 minutes of the journey. After that, it is pretty much the same as 10w40. However, 5w40 engine oils have better flowability in cold temperatures compared to 10w40 oils, as they are thin and lightweight. If you use a 10w40 oil instead of a 5w40 oil in cold temperatures, the molecules of the 10w40 oils might be too big for entering into the metal parts of the engine. Thus, proper lubrication will be hampered and the vehicle will lead to damage.
  9. 20W-50 are for small (city use) 50cc carburettor motorcycles (the ''papakia'') of the late 80's era. Yes about the environment, too much cold etc but how can you run fast a car with such a high viscous oil? Have you ever heard about this before? Even a synthetic 5W-40 can harm our engine?
  10. I didn't knew that. The same applies for 5W-40 in our climate here? I have use many brands in 10W-40 but my car does not like all of them in high rpm in mountain roads.
  11. The question still remains: So the way-quantity of the incoming air does not affect the Cold Start so much? Maybe the Lubrication? A different brand engine oil in different viscosity than the 10W-40 may do some improvement?
  12. Felicia bike carbs https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/411104-felicia-bike-carbs/
  13. Wow @Skodle, how did you know that the word Copela is used here in Greece? 😀 Due to some adjustments the Mpg got better that the other years, i will post the results in the other topic. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/499328-how-much-time-do-you-warm-up-your-felicia/ I have opened a thread for this, soon i will post some results and questions from new test. __________________________________________ The idea behind the hood scoop is to protect my (not good design and material) sponge filter from water (rain-car washing) leaves etc and then to try to seal the existing oval gasket with the hood because as i have shown there is a small gap.
  14. I have in my Pc stored the Felicia GLX , SLX 1.6 1AV (AEE) Wiring Diagrams There are 5 (the 3rd you already have seen it above). I am not car mechanic or car electrician, all i have for 1AV Fuel Injection & Ignition System.pdf ECU-pin are these:
  15. Yes but how are you going to fix it around the oval shape of the pladtic box? I have made a test with sticky rubber and failed, caused me problems as the hood was going down. That pressed down the factory rubber beneath the plastic covers of rhe wipers. I am on vacations, i will post photos when i return.

  17. There are so many adaptors a clean photo froms yours (unpluged) would help.
  18. I remember my problem with my Lambda sensor, nor the VCDS (2 times in different repair-shops) nor my ODB 11 show nothing. Everybody thinking that i was wrong and the car was OK but my instinct saved me.
  19. We have old OBD port, the videos are for OBD II but you will get the idea.
  20. You have to wait so the old OBD port that you have to make internet connection with the application of the OBD 11 on your smartphone. If your OBD port has a problem (pins, cables etc) even the mechanic with the VCDS will have a problem. The only way to find out is to visit a VW group repair shop or if ask from a friend of yours which has VCDS and a laptop available.
  21. I have it, it's not a ''big deal'', i have use it some times and found no errors. Has no updates for our Felicia, you can not change many parameters and does not work with the applications with the smartphone or an LCD so you can not have those fancy digital gauges that guys with OBD II have in their screens as they driving.
