The screens ARE interchangeable between different MIB2 glove box unit versions however MIB2.5 screens ()ctavia - 5E0919606D, Superb - 3V0919606D) require Columbus MIB2.5 units (5650350...). MIB3 units use different technologies (Ethernet instead of MOST, external GPS receiver) and should NOT be considered as a replacement to MIB1/MIB2/MIB2.5 unit. Octavia screens have different shape to Superb ones.

NAND in your unit is overloaded. Indeed reloading software may help, if not then NAND must be reformatted but this require special SW and HW tools.

You don't need to update the firmware, especially if everything works OK. Firmware updates are not published officially, they are available only for Skoda dealers.

I have no firmware for such units 😞

1. OEM units are covered with components protection technology, then need to be matched with the car by Skoda dealer or someone having so called ODIS ONLINE account for Skoda. Pls note to enable new features, not supported originally, e.g. SmartLink, new unit must be hacked. 2. OEM units - yes, for aftermarket units you hae to check with supplier.

Officially this is not possible. Unofficial way is to install the hacked unit however it refers to Bolero and Amundsen systems only - at least I know nobody who can hack Swing. If you are interested in retrofitting Boelro or Amundsen pls contact me on PM.
