1.0 tsi 110hp - any high mileages already?
In my experience it's as unreliable as the earlier 1.2 TSI. Only with my 1.0/110 it took just 15000 miles for the Actuator + Turbo failure and replacement... The 1.2/105 at least lasted me 26000 before the same issue. The 1.0 also lacks much usable torque, but you could mask that with a 7 speed DSG.

BTCC
Exciting racing at Snett. Shame I was too busy to go, getting COvid Jab #2. Wins for Turk, Sutton and Ingram (Hyundais first BTCC win) Championship top 3 now Ash, Tom, Colin covered by just 5 points after 6 races.

They've known since testing that the new RedBull is a lot faster, RBR just haven't capitalised on it yet. Its amazing Hamilton is only 4 points behind. Bottas is showing the Mercedez true pace I think. Redbull were robbed this weekend. The expensive changes to the cars this year were supposed to protect the Pirellis from failures, but they still let go.

Scary stuff. It took a worryingly long time for TV to show Lance moving after the crash. Pirelli is as usual blaming debris for the failures. Hamilton's hard tyre was cut too but didnt fail. Almost a shock win for Vettel, as Perez had hydraulic issues and barely made the finish. Well done Checo.

How did RBR not get pole? P3-7 not what they expected at all?

1.2 TSI Vs 1.0 TSI
I have one too. Soullessly bland but good value. As long as corners aren't your thing. Has anyone got one on a better tyre than the awful OEM Bridgestone RE050??

2020 Nissan Qashqai
Insurance car for 3 weeks, top of the range petrol auto. Drove OK but traction poor unless in power limiting eco mode. Roomy, but very high sill so loading the boot for runs to the dump was difficult. Felt quicker than my 1.0TSI Toledo and better mpg too, surprisingly averaging over 50mpg right across the M62 and back (the SEAT does mid 40s on the same trip) The Nissan has all the gadgets, but ergonomics are poor- switches all over and less logical system operation than on VAG vehicles. I wouldn't buy one. The confused cockpit is something I remember from sister company Renault and I don't like it at all.

Singapore cancelled - Istanbul, Shanghai, Austin possible replacements. Checo fastest in FP 2 from Max. Mercedes literally nowhere, not even top 10. If they don't improve a lot, I can see them protesting all the flexi-wing cars.

2016 Rapid 1.4tdi spare key = immobilizer active
Cut from the 2017 Rapid manual Synchronising the remote control If the buttons on the remote control key have been depressed several times beyond the effective range of the equipment or the battery has been replaced in the remote control key and the vehicle cannot be unlocked with the remote control, the key must be synchronised. › Press any button on the remote control key. › Unlock the door with the key in the lock cylinder within 1 minute of pressing the button. Lots of Youtube guides to be found on reprogram or resync VW Audi key fob. Seems as if its quite easy with one working key and one not. Get a new fob battery and give it a go.

Flat battery? Does the LED on the key flash when you press a button? Worth the 3 quid to change it and try it out. Its just a standard CR2025 in mine and they fail every 18 months (Kessy keyless). The non Keyless ones need a battery every 3-4 years.

MotoGP 2022 (and previous season back to 2018)
That's very low. Using the tragic demise of a young rider as an opportunity to spout off your sly anti-Hamilton propaganda. Shocking. Even beyond what I would expect from some on here.

Great drives from the top 5, Vettel with the overtake of the race by all accounts, I haven't seen it yet due to the amateur TV director specially employed in Monaco (not the usual one who does all the other races)

I wonder if that is Mercedes worst race since Spain 16. I think they had a double DNF somewhere in the mean time ... Austria 18 maybe? Livens the championship up no end

William's celebrate their 750th race this weekend, becoming the third team to achieve the milestone. The total does not including San Marino 82 where they didnt race, and some other oddball events, but does include Indy 2005 where they didnt even complete the formation lap?? Seems like a serious bit of marketing ploy to me, since Frank's eponymous team had in fact already raced in F1 96 times as Frank Williams Racing Cars before it's reformation as William's Grand Prix Engineering in 1977. Maybe they'll re-calculate in 4 races time and claim 850 GPs. These numbers are very pinch of salt anyway. McLaren and Ferrari have both raced more times, but McLaren's merger with Project 4 was a takeover in all but name, so their history is only continuous by virtue of unchanged branding. Likewise Ferrari probably include 1956 in their stats, when the whole racing world knows they actually ran Lancia cars all that year because their own were uncompetitive.

Flexi Wings wont go away after Mercedes called out RedBull at Portimao. After the FIA says new test standards will come in soon, there's pretty much an amnesty for now, so Ferrari and Alpine are both at the Monaco Press conference admitting "Yeah we have flexi-wings" Situaton is becoming ridiculous and Wolff is not happy with the FIA current stance believing the FIA 4 week delay in applying new rules will lead to protests at the Baku GP. Whilst other teams will have to stiffen up their rear wings, Wolff says Mercedes will soften theirs to take advantage of the rule ambiguity. Other News: Ferrari 1-2 in FP2. Alpine open contract talks with Ocon. It seem's like the teams with Mercedes target drivers are taking early action.
