  1. Mercedes about to announce Formula E exit. BMW and Audi have long since announced they're already going. Is the MarioKart TV series about to implode?
  2. Yamahas big guns in WSB have both turned down a Petronas (Sorry SRT) ride for next year already. They'll have to bring some Moto2 kids up.
  3. All good news from Yamaha of late. then, Rossi retired, Mav suspended, Petronas quit, SRT reduced to 1 or 2 B-Spec bikes and binning their Moto2/3 teams... Fabio better win the title or the whole years going to ****...
  4. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/243-rapid-projects/ Debadging and other discussions in there too
  5. Wheels. The stock 17 size is 7x17 et46, but aftermarket 7.5 or 8 wide may fill the arches more. There is a photo thread on here with a few modified cars, also the Rapid Projects section. Cars pictured on here with OZ, BBS, Fox and various VAG OEM wheels in 17 or 18 inches. I'll put a link on in a bit. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/341285-a-pic-of-your-car-please-add/

  7. I seem to recall the Skoda logo will leave 2 holes when it comes off, so they'll need filling before you put the lettering on. Alternate Skoda logos (different colours/designs) online at superskoda.
  8. The Skoda - Rapid badging will come off with heating and then some tooth floss.
  9. You're right. The public perception of VW group quality is not in agreement with my experiences at all. My 1.0 did just 15000 and the turbo on the 1.2 only got to 26000.
  10. 1.0tsi We had a turbo actuator fail which lit the dash up and caused limp mode. The actuator is about 500 at SEAT or Skoda, but it needed a turbo as well which is 2k.☹️ It better be under guarantee if this is the fault. Had it previously on a 1.2 TSI as well. Also had a brand new loaner 1.0 MPI triple that lit the dash up 10 miles into any trip with electronic systems failing throughout the car! Good luck.
  11. 4 cylinders 8 plug leads, its not too difficult to figure out...
  12. I have the 1.0/110 as well. You are correct, it has a very narrow torque band, and is completely unresponsive at low revs. Just use more revs, its reasonably smooth up to 5000 and needs you to adapt your driving technique to keep it above 1800/2000 at all times.
  13. Terrible error- with lucky consequences for Mercedes, I mean Lando was close to taking out Hamilton, but hit Verstappen instead. Bo77as and Lance both slammed with 5 place grid penalties at the next event for their part in the turn 1 crashes.
  14. Williams up to P8 in the constructors.
  15. Red Bull now in some engine trouble for the rest of season. Max had to take his last engine for this race, and Checos was destroyed today, meaning he takes his last engine at the next event. They're looking at grid penalties later in the year.
  16. Astons slow pit stop ruined their chance to win... Now they've been disqualified from 2nd place as well.
  17. Ha haha hahaha. Just no class whatsoever. Red Bull5h1t management just cant stop themselves can they? Horner accusing Hamilton of gamesmanship for driving too slow in Q3...when it was actually a quicker warm-up lap than 2 of his previous runs... Then Marko applauding the predominantly Dutch numbskull crowd for booing the Mercedes drivers at the pole position interviews. Once again, if they two put more effort into managing the building of fast cars rather than wasting effort gobbing off, they wouldn't be 0.4 seconds behind pole position would they?
  18. RB struggling with understeer in FP2. Max in P3, behind #77 and #44. He is believed to be using the Silverstone engine, so it's clearly survived the 51G impact.
  19. The exact scenario that played out at Copse on lap 1 of Saturdays sprint race, the day before. Hamilton was on the outside that time, but was mature enough to back out if it rather than crash?
  20. 10 minutes ago the stewards of the British GP effectively told RBR to go f##k themselves, rejecting their proposed appeal. Apparently the new "evidence" was video of some simulations of the incident cooked up by RedBull... The tone of the stewards response was verging on accusing RB of bringing F1 into disrepute.
  21. RedBull are protesting the result of the previous race. Maybe Mercedes will then protest Imola, after all Max did run Lewis off at turn 1 breaking his front wing... Perhaps F1 shouldn't have stewards, or rules, or indeed anything that RB doesnt approve of. If I was at the FIA I'd be tempted to slap RBR for bringing the sport into disrepute by undermining the rules and regulators.
  22. He doesnt, but he has already made several "yield or crash" moves on Hamilton this year. If Max just gets on with driving the clearly fastest car of the year and not taking excess risks, he'll romp to the title. As it is, he cant afford another 30 point swing by needlessly colliding with the opposition when he could have backed out, like Hamilton did earlier in the lap when Max came up the inside like a missile.
  23. Surprised if the stewards didnt have access to all the onboard cameras to be honest. For me (like you) that camera is the one that puts 30-40%+ blame on Max. I think RedBulls "evidence" is limited to Hamiltons excessive entry speed to the corner?
  24. Almost a week later, Horner still moaning and threatening the FIA and Mercedes with legal action. No wonder Wolff called him a windbag in a recent TV interview. Mr Ginger Spice also says the damage to the RB car #33 is $1.8 million...
