2017 superb estate radar
The front radar is quite well protected, only snow has caused mine to stop working as it can't throw out a signal, but cleared. Without wanting to state the obvious, is it activated? I only ask as my blind spot warning suddenly became inoperative when in Spain, error message blind spot unavailable, which would have been a real pain! On checking, for no apparent reason it had been deactivated (no tick), easily sorted after a moment of panic. Disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes if all else fails and see if that resets it.

Armoured Superbs.
Plenty of Skoda Superbs in use by UK police, traffic, dog cars etc, but not armoured, it's just too expensive at £150K for general policing duties and basically no need. Ministry of Defence have quite a few 280 estates in SE guise used as covert command cars for EOD (bomb disposal) teams throughout the UK, again unarmoured. Quite rapid, plenty of space for kit and inconspicuous (covert blue light fit). Chronologically - Omega Estate 3.2 - ST220 Estate - BMW 5 series - and more recently the Superb.

Armoured Superbs.
Think it is actually the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) that have the largest fleet of ballistically protected Skoda Superb. Anyone wanting bigger brakes, recently Alcon developed a 4 pot calliper and new disc to cope with the increased weight, if the REVO upgrade isn’t enough!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I guess this is classed as the Rough Road package? Do you have the link and part numbers for all the parts in the illustration?

280 Tyres
I had to replace my tyres (235/45/18) a few weeks ago and went for Continental Sport Contact 6. Performance in both wet and dry impressive, but they are definately a noisy tyre. It's something I can live with that are out-weighed by the other redeeming factors.

Extremadura, Spain
The North is so unspoilt and that is why we return year on year. The BF sailing was on the new MV Galicia and I think they were short staffed as the shops closed early and dinner was a self-service affair. Previous trip on the Pont Aven were much better, great food, cinema etc, but this was pre covid. We travelled through Asturias last year, stayed in Llanes (hotel la torre) and then onto Ribadeo via 1 or 2 small hotels. Cudillero, 'the most beautiful village in Spain' lucky we arrived early and got out before the masses/coaches arrived, it has its charms but I think there are nicer coastal villages on that stretch. We didn't have time to venture to Galicia last year, but have travelled in that region before, always stopping at Martin Codax winery to top up on Albarino/Godello before we head East and home!! I'll tap you for information if we go back that way, most likely September next year. Salud, David

Extremadura, Spain
Yes, we have travelled in that area a few times. As you say, quiet apart from the hot spots of Merida (fantastic Roman remains) and Caceres which can be quite busy. We found the area around Trujillo to be devoid of the usual tourists and gave you almost a true taste of 'old' Spain. As I am sure you know, the Parque Nacional de Monfragüe is a fantastic area to relax and cheap to eat and sleep. Up in the North this year..again, San Sebastian and then around Jaca. We decided to drive via France this year as the Brittany Ferries 2 night crossing we did last year was terrible and costly....never again. Where's your 1st favorite place then?

Škoda Superb Mirror control Switch
You need to carefully pry off the cover (with a trim removal tool, or similar, NOT a screwdriver!) that has the window switches as it’s all one piece. You can’t remove the mirror control switch on its own. There is a small tab at the back and a couple along the length of this plastic piece. There’s a coupe of connectors attached which you can release and bingo, the control switch can be removed. Beaten to it by excellent video posted by mryan358!!

Broken plastic sensor - rear passenger bottom suspension arm
Not sure super glue will work or be strong enough, but use an aerosol activator that will give instantaneous setting results, look for mitre system which is 2 part activation of super glue.

Škoda Superb Mirror control Switch
This has been mentioned before on this forum. However, I had the same issue so removed the switch, took it apart (carefully!) and cleaned with spray contact cleaner. Put back together and all working fine.

Driver side led headlight bracket mounting is snapped
Sorry you had issues early on in your ownership! I would go for a repair bracket a known and approved replacement for broken lugs on headlights. As @langers2K said part number 3VO 998 225 should fit and make a permanent repair that will go unseen to most people. Just take you time measuring and cutting the damaged part off!
