  1. Just had mine done on a Hunter rig at Kwik-Fit, £129 but that includes 4 additional alignments over 2 years free of charge, which I didn't think bad as i would get it done when changing between summer and winter wheels. One thing, it all lined up except the N/S/F where the caster is slightly out and they said they can't adjust as that need sub-frame adjustment to bring it back into line??
  2. Check these links out, (hope they work) could be useful as a starting point...these are ACCESSORIES brochures of Skoda Auto for winter wheels/tyres and alloy wheel which show wheel/tyre sizes ET's etc. 456a67fb-8c63-4a20-a167-0e3b6c3b4bf9 (skoda-auto.com) a1a05a53-26b1-4278-9251-515531f22ecb (skoda-auto.com)
  3. Really appreciate your in-depth knowledge and fully explained reasoning whether to up-grade or not and the route to go. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks, knew I could get some sense from you guys. But you haven't changed the rotors on your car, with all the modification I am surprised! Do you not think that for me with only a Steinbauer box it's actually not a modification that is value for money?
  5. @newbie69@Roscio Dear Tuning Guru's, As a brake upgrade to golf 7 7.5 clubsport brakes (5Q0615301C) which way should they be fitted on the vehicle. I have looked at youtube videos and also on the net with people giving different suggestions? Is it depending if the vanes are straight or angled?
  6. 3V0 055 204 I believe is the wiring from the luggage compartment to the fuse box / BCM. But there is more information in this link www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/416902-oem-towbar-retrofit/
  7. Read somewhere if you have a panoramic roof, some bars will foul the roof when open. Not sure this would apply to you?
  8. If the factory fitted tow-bar is specified at build then there are some minor drive-train modifications, I think twin fans on the radiator and additional cooling on the gearbox?
  9. This is the Skoda Superb III forum and the original poster is asking about a Superb.
  10. SOLD.....Same problem as I was having when looking for my 280. But I wanted specifics in the car so held out as long as I could until the right car came along but had to adjust my budget...upwards to get what I was after. They do sell quickly and one which I was discussing with a dealers salesman was sold (or had a deposit put on it) with another salesman whilst I was on the 'phone to them. It was taken off their website by the end of the day so suspect it was true not just dealer speak to make me buy there and then. I bought mine sight unseen over the phone with a refundable deposit from an approved Skoda dealer as soon as it appeared online for sale (Skoda approved used site) and was prepared to walk away if it wasn't as described. Keep looking and the right one will come along, but I found out you have to be ready to pull the trigger as soon as you see one.
  11. Yes, that's the one. The part number has really helped (Thanks) as I can see on that number it does include the little clip on the underside to attached the cable. ebay.de is showing that as a chrome piece, so will take my chance and order locally. Thanks
  12. it the part for the factory fitted tow-bar. The small clip inside (circled) which you can see if you remove the chrome cover has broken and the bowden cable that releases the tow-bar keeps slipping out. Is it a whole new handle and does that include this clip (?) or can you get this clip on its own? TIA
  13. Is there any recommendations to access a parts fische? I would prefer to use something like erWIN and pay Skoda-auto for the privilege so I get the correct information and not use some dodgy site!
  14. I think I would probably go for the Marshall one. The privately owned vehicle does look a little 'well used', particularly in the back, though at these kind of mileages you have to expect some wear and tear. The light interior also lightens the cabin area, though does stain if wearing denim or similar dark coloured clothes. Through the dealer you would have a little more comeback if anything went wrong. Marshalls (of which Marshall-mini is part of the group) as you know is a major Skoda dealer and get excellent feedback, so would expect this car to be of a similar quality. Maybe a little too high mileage to pass through the Skoda approved programme?
  15. OK, does the 034 airbox and pipe make any noticeable difference, which part did you go for SKU: 034-108-1011?
  16. Congratulations on the new vehicle, sure you will come to terms with the 21MY. Question...how do the modifications you have made so far impact the new car warranty? I can't see any UK dealership carrying out a repair under warranty with the modifications you have made as they always seem to be looking for a get out clause!
  17. I just recently updated the maps on my Columbus using a generic SanDisk 32gb card bought from Currys. On to updateportal.skoda-auto.com and downloaded the maps, it did take a couple of attempts for the car to accept the maps, using slot 1 but all good now. The maps are downloaded as zip files, but this shouldn't cause any issues.
  18. Yes, thank you but I don't think enough for me to be confident that all the sensors are in the same place. Looking if possible to refit a Steinbauer box and that comes with no vehicle specific instructions for a home installation. It's clearly marked on the Steinbauer harness with the sensors and where you should attach but no actual location on the vehicles' engine. I'll keep trying...
  19. Couldn't possibly comment , but if I was, that information could be useful......
  20. Hi, can anyone advise where the following sensors are located on the 280 Tsi CJX engine? Photo's or a schematic diagram would be great. Camshaft position sensor Boost pressure sensors 1 & 2 Rail pressure sensor Thanks
  21. But this MIB2, may have the television which I don't think 2.5 has, could be useful?
  22. As you say the Mitchell one has been for sale a loooong time, not sure why they haven't discounted? Cheap, but wheels need a refurb, no pan roof and the brown leather interior not to everyone's taste. They are a great dealership I drive there for servicing instead of Lookers in Stockport who are a bunch of morons, as I said when I walked out after having used them once, I will never return. There do seem to be a few more appearing so all is not lost if it doesn't work out on the Hendrys vehicle, but you are going to have to travel to find one I think? They are an approved dealership, if the last change of ownership was March 2017 after 6 months, then as others have said a demonstrator and first real owner thereafter. Full MDSH, warranty, I would go for it if the spec if what you want and price is your budget, can't see too many issues, throw in a 30K service, pan roof service, mot, close-up of the windscreen chip and off you go.....:-)
  23. I bought my last 2 Skoda's remotely and didn't have a problem. I wanted a 280 L&K, but at the time they were like hen's teeth and couldn't find one anywhere within my budget so opted for a 170ps TDi L&K 4x4, which I was more than happy with, this was bought from Milton Keynes and I am based in Cheshire (Prestbury), like you. Recently, I have purchased a 280 L&K where I did the deal on the phone, I just asked for videos of particular areas I was interested in, wheels, interior (as light coloured) and asked for service history. I did some due diligence on the web' to see if the car came up or had been discussed in forums, but as I was buying from a Skoda dealer I wasn't too concerned. I had seen advertised a couple before the one I bought, but they do sell quickly and I missed out, so pulled the trigger on this one straight away. I did travel to collect and if it had been a heap of rubbish I would have walked away, but it wasn't! Pity we have the Covid restrictions because you could have nipped over to try mine (Mitchel Skoda at Chester have a 280 I think - 40 minutes from you if you can blag a drive?). Don't think you will be disappointed as it's quite quick for a big car!
