  1. It certainly does on mine; it has the same effect as holding the lock button down on the keyfob, locking the doors then closing the windows. Also holding the rocker the other way unlocks the doors then opens all the windows! (This works regardless of the ignition switch position)
  2. Have you any loose items pushing on the rocker switch by the handbrake?
  3. I thought maybe you'd hosed off your keyboard too! 🤣

I'm not sure 1.2mA leakage would be a worry? I imagine the alarm and remote door system would draw at least 10 times that? On the basis a typical car battery is 50 A/hour I calculate 1.2mA drain on it would last 41666 hours - or roughly 4 years 9 months! Having said that if your fault has cleared by operating the tailgate repeatedly it does sound like the switch may be faulty, but it would need to be 10s or 100s of mA drain to cause a problem.
  5. If you haven't already tried, it might be worth cleaning the screen, in case some grot is interfering with the touchscreen operation....
  6. Sounds like you may have moved a critical fuse to a wrong (and vacant) position?

You can simply drag the progress bar to the 2 minute mark to see the "salient moment" without having to watch the video from the start

    A 112TSI Yeti is a 1.8L TSI DSG (112KW = 150 BHP) as marketed in Oz. The manuals are called 118TSI (118KW=159BHP) https://www.goauto.com.au/car-reviews/skoda/yeti/112tsi-5-dr-wagon/2012-03-28/33458.html
  9. Are you sure? You posted last June that it had been replaced
  10. My understanding of these more modern common rail diesels is that the pump is not timed - unlike older technology diesels? The CR pump creates effectively a constant high pressure and it is the electronically operated injectors that time the 'squirt'. If as said previously by others the cambelt was fitted one tooth out, it would affect the timing of the inlet & exhaust valves, and adversely impact the overall performance of the engine. However I don't know these specific engines - and don't know if it possible for the belt to be mistimed and the engine still be able to run?
  11. That is not what I said, I said "when he took delivery of it". IOW the supplying dealer must have changed a setting in the mfd.
  12. I think the point others are trying to make is that your Yeti was obviously faulty when you took delivery of it; Under the The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, all new vehicles sold in the UK must be able to display speeds in both MPH and KPH. For some reason yours was not configured correctly.
  13. I doubt you'd ever need 4wd if you have all those palm trees around? 😁
  14. I can see in the regs that there are height requirements for Dipped Beam Headlights (hence pop up headlights on low cars), but I cannot see any height requirement for Main Beam headlights in the regs
  15. That's because there is a minimum height requirement relating to Dipped Beam headlights
  16. My understanding has always been that there are no specific requirements relating to height for addition front 'driving lights' - that is lights that are only switched on with the existing standard main beam headlights (and are legally classified as "Optional Main Beam Headlights")? Indeed reading the regs seems to confirm this; There is no limit to the number, they must be white or yellow, they must extinguish when the Main beam headlights are extinguished, and the beam must be adjustable (while the vehicle is stationary). the only additional requirement for more recent cars (post 1991) is that they must have British Approval markings. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/schedule/5 In fact I can't see any height requirement at all for even the obligatory main beam headlights?
  17. ..... you can get chrome trims that fit there though: http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/YETI/Yeti-STAINLESS-STEEL-CHROME-Decorative-Front-Bumper-Trims-KI-R
  18. Many cars have a red lens on the offside operating as a fog light, and a clear lens on the nearside to operate as a reversing light.
  19. Even more confusion; my Yeti has wheel bolts?? 😜
  20. The way to do this is to prefix the search in google with "site:https://www.briskoda.net" (without the quotes) EG: entering the following in a google search gets good hits site:https://www.briskoda.net how to hardwire a dash cam yeti https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.briskoda.net+how+to+hardwire+a+dash+cam+yeti

IMHO a 2011 1.2 TSI will have a timing chain - not a belt? Jim
  23. Interesting read HERE
  24. I found this on another forum, could your yeti have had a tracker fitted? https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/alarm-sound-after-starting-the-car-interior-video-included.8957185/
  25. I first thought that, but memory 1 is the journey trip that resets after each journey. Unlikely to rollover? Total trip is is memory 2.
