Kodiaq new tyres recommendations
If you have 235/40 R20 then I think there is only one all season in that size Goodyear vector 4season Gen3 For summer tyres, Pirelli Scorpion, Michelin Pilot sport 4S

Swapped to Karoq from Kamiq.
It seems Karoq is now rationalised, some models are marked ** from stock only. Appears they are now all petrol, except 4x4 which are diesel https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c63f4efb-a760-4a48-931f-baad88d42aa6

Your experience of the 115hp 2.0 TDi
The Karoq 2.0tdi 115 has been discontinued recently, it appears in current brochure as from stock only https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c63f4efb-a760-4a48-931f-baad88d42aa6 So in blunt terms, is obsolete, had a list price of £2500+ over the petrol version. So even if you save £30 in fuel every 1000 miles, going to be years to recover extra cost. Haven't done comparison recently but when diesel was about 10p litre more, were looking at over 100,000 miles to get back extra £2500 The simple reason is not the basic engine itself being bad, but all the emissions equipment that needs to be added these days makes it a maintenance liability. But of course a dealer stuck with one on his forecourt is bound to do sales patter of its lovely, however usual buyer beware applies, because if they were selling crock of junk they wouldn't say so. Would I buy one, simple answer is no, and fact it it discontinued by VW ought to be big clue even they don't rate it.

How to go about buying a new Superb?
Looks like a new brochure has been issued 12th September 2023 https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/71165c49-62c5-4f74-b29a-be6ad40d7373 When you go to the prices page, all specs are now marked from stock only

Skoda U.K. Customer Service not fit for purpose.
I don't think Skoda customer services exist anymore, the name lingers on, but now just get connected to an outsource company that clearly don't understand or convey messages replying with vague wishy washy statements or irrelevant positive comments, as they don't have the answers and can't make decisions on the spot.

Airbag Recall
There is also a Government site https://www.check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk/recall-type/vehicle/make/SKODA/model/FABIA/year/2021/recalls Some 2021 Fabia also have rear seat backrest frame which needs replacing and/or airbag

Proxima alloy wheels
The road noise will be the style of tyres fitted, more than the brand. There will be few other factors, wheel size, temperature, tyre pressures. What you find is the tyres are probably quite hard, although will soften as the get warm, then will be quieter. Obviously in current hot weather will sound different to on a cold day. Goodyear nowadays make their summer tyres, very summer like, as don't need them to compete with all season or winter ranges. I am guessing you have efficient grip, which are very Eco and firm (and firm can mean rumbly on rougher tarmac). Basically they are designed for cruising good tarmac in a European summer, not all year use on indifferent quality UK road surfaces. It's not Goodyears fault, as they make more appropriate tyres for UK climate. I have Goodyear ultragrip 9+ for my winter tyres and they are very quiet, (and amazing grip, and slow wear), the tread pattern is very similar to vector 4season gen3 which many on here have praised. Your solution is to change the tyres to quieter and softer all seasons. There are threads in tyres section with recommendations

Blower keeps blowing fuses
The blower is direct on full fan speed (4), switched on, no resisters. If lower speeds have gone, will be resister pack (there are threads on how to change via glovebox) If it is blowing fuses on max speed then either motor is overloading because sticky and not turning freely, or is damage to wire supplying motor. Get it running again before change resistor as will blow replacement too

Downsizing 18" wheels to 17"
Unless you live in a country that checks wheels against conformity certificates (which UK doesn't do at annual MOT) not a problem 2mm is not worth worrying about on a tyre that is 160-180mm wide. As for handling, it might not be quite as tight if you are throwing it around corners at high speeds trying to save few milliseconds on each bend, but unlikely to notice in everyday driving.

Superb Mk4
That is unhelpful size, as in UK standard parking space is 5m x 2.5m in car parks, 6m x 2m for a marked parallel parking space So fat can only open doors about a foot in a supermarket or multi-story, and have to park to within 8cm (under 3 inches) of a wall to fit it in. At a parallel parking space going to struggle too, and as a bonus it has easy to kerb low profile wheels.

Superb Mk4
It's relatively easy to meet euro7 in theory, just requires lots of emissions equipment. The big question is how much does that equipment add to cost, and how reliable will it be. Already can't get diesels in Fabia, Scala, Kamiq, and of course electric Enyaq. Not sure what percentage of cars are diesel in Ireland, but UK year to date (Jan-July) is just 3.9% for diesel, less than quarter of sales of electric cars (16.1%) and under tenth of petrol (41.7%). Remainder are hybrids. So diesel at under 1 in 25 cars is rather a niche product in UK https://www.smmt.co.uk/vehicle-data/car-registrations/

How to go about buying a new Superb?
Which is why whenever you see any films or documentaries, all the robots always start painting from inside the open doors, or from inside boot etc. Just in case there is tiny bit of previous colour paint also sprayed, bits that will be covered up or not show

Superb Mk4
I don't like the way it appears middle dial controls fan speed, volume, driving modes, and others. Does that mean got to keep pressing it, take eyes of road to find what mode it is in, then turn it. I hate the idea of a volume knob that doubles up as other things, passenger wants to talk so accidentally turns down fan then shouts instead, how can anyone think this is good idea

Digital Skoda Service Records
I always insist on a print out when I go and pay and collect the car. I will never remember 12 months later what was and wasn't done, and keeping a paper copy is the only free way to find out. To be honest, and may be I am old fashioned, but I prefer a stamped maintenance book, not some digital record somewhere that I cannot access.

Octiavia iV Boot Opening
Did you do it in a restricted space, backed up to a fence, or in an enclosed car park etc. Or was there movement detected within range of rear sensors

I don't want to be a grump, but does anyone else think 3 random letters is not good way to title a thread, gives no indication what is being discussed (apparently nothing)

New Fabia noise query
Even in Germany, with its autobahn speeds, Monte Carlo gets 16 inch wheels as standard. Both Essence (bottom spec) and Selection (middle spec) get 15 inch wheels as standard. To upgrade from 15 inch to 16 inch in Germany is €1010 or €1110 (depending on which wheels you get) Its just a UK thing to fit bigger rims, and noisier lower profile tyres as standard, presumably it has therefore also pushed the price in UK up by about £850 to get the noisier 16s.

Roomster headlight bulbs replacing
If you have the projector type lamps can simply change to something like Osram night breaker bulbs. They are accessed by lifting bonnet, removing a rubber cover and reaching in. But there is a big tab on the casing and secret is to grab and turn the bulb, not the tab (which won't move), you naturally try and turn both and think they are jammed. We fitted these when we had our roomster Beyond that there are upgrade kits (some are not legal on the road, and are marked for off road use only). However anything like an LED has lower resistance so will need a resistor to trick the failed bulb warning on dashboard display. If that is showing don't expect to pass an MOT.

New Fabia noise query
@BaggyX Tyre noise is quite subjective. I don't know which tyres are fitted, but guessing Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance in size 195/55 R16. These are summer Eco biased tyres. That is they are fairly hard at +20c to marginally save fuel. Unfortunately factory fits tyres to give marginally better emission and fuel readings at test temperatures on a warm day. Completely unrealistic to UK climate, and the relatively poor surface of many UK country roads. It's not Goodyears fault, they have a much more appropriate tyre in their range, vector 4 season gen 3. The compound will be quieter, and not rumble as much. But in meantime see how you go with tyre pressures set for light loads, rather than Eco or heavily laden setting

Repair estimates needed.
Ouch, not good Not going to be easy conversation choosing between cost of car repair, vs an expensive wedding dress

Thinking of buying and looking for info.
S mode will hold the gears more, and not change up gears as quickly, it will use bit more fuel, but of course you will ease off accelerator and coast earlier otherwise would soon be doing 100+ mph Ultimately basic physics will determine fuel consumption, energy used to move a mass, and convert energy in the fuel into kinetic energy etc.

HELP! WINDOWS OPEN
This feature of opening all the windows by pressing and holding button was on my mk2 Octavia, handy on a hot day when want to let hot air escape. As for the moron bit, who wedges a key fob in a pocket so tightly that the buttons get pressed continuously (as it good way to flatten key battery) Try all the convenience or locking settings in the infotainment, car, settings, might be something in one of those sub-menus for your model.

Possible new car incoming.
Remember to think carefully about the so called £3000 incentive If you go on the Skoda finance calculator, look at cash price and total payable, probably be near £5500 difference, and that is including the £3000, it would be £8500 without. So deal is they give you £3000, you give them £8500 in interest and fees If you take the £3000 discount and pay off the PCP balance between days 1-13 with no cost, then it's a good discount. But otherwise you need to accept you might be paying back about 3 times the £3000 they offer you in interest and fees if PCP runs for 4 years.
