  1. Laws RTA 1988 sect 42 & CUR reg 32 Tyres. Tyres MUST be correctly inflated to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification for the load being carried. Thanks. AG Falco
  2. The fuel filler cap has a small hole it it to let air in to the fuel tank as it empties. If this is blocked then air will not get in to the fuel tank. What can happen is the fuel pump when working will make the fuel tank shrink. A bit like you blowing in to a crisp bag ( to pop it ) but then sucking the air back out. Has your fuel tank shrunk? Thanks. AG Falco
  3. I have not disconnected that wire. 1. I will always turn off the stop/start when first starting the car and only put it back on when I think it is required. 2. No, as this makes the alternator behave like a older/ normal one. Thanks. AG Falco
  4. Or just remove the small wire to the Negative connection on the battery. Thanks. AG Falco
  5. No. I charge my EFB battery regularly with a smart charger, especially during the winter. At 7 years and 73 K miles from new my battery is still showing good when tested. Thanks. AG Falco
  6. Because present batteries will not be at 100% ( by design ) and if the customer could see this they would get worried that the battery ( even when new ) is faulty. Thanks. AG Falco
  7. It has the arrow to show the direction of exhaust flow. Heat shields are not normally flat, they have a small honeycomb type pattern. Thanks. AG Falco
  8. Charge the battery first using a smart main charger. Thanks. AG Falco
  9. Yes. Or have you done that already as well. 😒 Thanks. AG Falco
  10. Does it make any difference if you try it the other way? With mine I can change what opens when you push the key fob button via the infotainment system. Have you tried changing that? Or even a reset? Thanks. AG Falco
  11. You can use the APP `GPS test' for the speed on your mobile, and there is an option for Heads up Display as well. Thanks. AG Falco

  13. Fuses 2 & 6 ? Thanks. AG Falco
  14. Do you use the centre button on your key to just open the boot or the bottom button to open everything? Would the fuse cover all the central locking not just the boot? Thanks. AG Falco
  15. Segment display type found on S trim? So not maxidot / MFD type found on SE & SEL trim Don't think this can be changed. Thanks. AG Falco

  17. This is used instead of using shims. I am up to 73K miles on original brake disks and pads from new but they are now more than half worn. I do remove, clean, regrease and refit them once a year though. Thanks. AG Falco
  18. No. Thanks. AG Falco
  19. Some garages might say no just because they won't want to do it, rather than because it is not posable. Look here noting that VCDS is being used :- Thanks. AG Falco
  20. The do sell spare valve stems as that is where my work get them from. It will be their own part numbers, not OE though. Glad you have it sorted though. Thanks. AG Falco
  21. On some cars you ( A Garage ) can run a test sequence on the ABS Unit which will move all the parts to free up any stuck parts. Normally done at the same time as changing the brake fluid. Thanks. AG Falco
  22. https://autogem.co.uk/tpms-zone/tpms-service-kits/ Thanks. AG Falco
  23. You can download maps first at home via wifi, and then use them offline so you use no data at all. I also use this when I go abroad. This also works when you don't have a mobile data connection. Thanks. AG Falco
  24. It is normally the sensor that gets broken, not the valve stem! Does the car tell you the individual tyre pressures? Thanks. AG Falco
  25. So the wife went to use the Fabia yesterday and got the spare car key out of the cupboard. But no red light on the fob when pushing the buttons. ( Flat battery? ) This key is hardly used. When I get home I try my key ( which is used every day ) and this still works. So I think that the battery in the spare key that is hardly used, is flat. So I swap the batteries over in the keys. But the battery from my key wont work in the spare key. So is there a fault with the spare key? And the battery from the spare key wont work in my key. So I swap the batteries back and then at least I have one working key. Today I go to Bath with my key and when I try to come back, guess what. My key stops working, no red light on the fob. So I get two new batteries, CR2032's are tight but will fit, and guess what, they both now work! This is the first time I have fitted new batteries in either key in 7 years since new. So does the battery last longer if you use it every day? Thanks. AG Falco
