Hi Strider, welcome to the forum. Unlikely to be standard without electric seats - I suspect will be similar to the Mk 3, my understanding is that this can be coded into the Mk 3 but passenger mirror will not necessarily dip to correct position in relation to drivers seat.

Hi Mark, provided it is cleared with HMRC as legal, I'd say go for it - generous deals like this from the Govt. tend to be not around for very long. Is there an option for owning the vehicle at the end of the lease period?

Due to my wife looking for a replacement vehicle due to her 'roadside decatted' Jazz being written off, please can anyone tell me the actual engine designation of the 1.0 MPI? Apart from the absence to the turbo and direct injection in the MPI, are there any other differences between the two engines? I am encouraging her to look at the TSI rather than the older MPI, am I right in this? 1.0 TSI = EA211 1.0 MPI = ???? Thanks in advance for any info.

As Varaderoguy says that sounds like a leaking gasket/seal on the turbo - not a scheduled service item. Is the vehicle still under any sort of warranty? They are really chancing it on the prices on the plugs and pollen filter, so probably doing the same on the oil leak.

Far too much for plugs and filter for a start. Quality OEM pollen filters retail at less than £15 and only take 5-10 mins to change. Never seen a scheduled servicing requirement on the turbo-chargers - could it be possible they are extracting the urine?

I made up a tool for this, using a narrow strip of alloy about 200mm long, with about 12mm right-angle bend at one end - you can use it to unhook or press down the clip at the end of the damper-rail.

You're probably pushing your luck with that sort of weight on the floor in raised position - one owner recently reported his had collapsed with approx. 200KG loaded on it!

Hi, re. the vaiiable boot floor - yes for the storage underneath, there's a fair amount of space - plenty of room for roof-bars, tow-ropes and tools. I've not seen the divider, although some owners place an additional timber support underneath it as the floor has a max load rating of approx. 80KG in the raised position.

I'll take a guess that they meant to say "the anticorrosion treatment reduces the surface friction of the clutch plate, causing it to slip and overheat, which excess heat then causes the clutch diaphragm springs to fail.

Hi Nat, welcome to the forum, phone Halfords and ask the manager if they will code your new, customer-supplied battery. Charge will probably be reasonable as a pretty quick job. Otherwise try a local auto electrician. All that needs to be coded is new battery serial number (to tell charging system to ignore any previous defects recorded) Battery type change (EFB to AGM) and Amp-hour rating (if different)

Hello Darkace, welcome to the forum. I cannot comment specifically on the Scala/Kamiq - but you should be getting at least 2-3 wipes (forward and back) per second on high speed. How does yours compare with this? Wipe speed does vary while using Intermittant with the rain-sensor, but in my experience, is not faster than full speed on the stalk.

Hi Noli, very likely a Golf 8 version of the same size engine will fit. I got a Golf 7 engine cover for my 1.4 TSI, which also came from the factory without one. Personally I think the engine bay looks more finished with one fitted. Try the 'Bay.

Very unlikely that R134A can be reused, the refrigerant is a complex 'cocktail' of gasses and lube-oil which cannot be guaranteed to remain in correct proportions after use. Not to say that some disreputable operators don't do this to save on disposal costs however.
