If I recall correctly, maximum allowable speedo error, at manufacture, is 5 or 6% overread (0% error underread) Note to OP, have you checked speedo calibration over measured mile (if these still exist)? - or tried multiple runs in different directions with GPS?

Hi, standard 2014 1.4 TSI should be 140PS = around 138 BHP. Output was upped to 150PS in 2015.

Assuming the 2.0 uses similar air box to the 1.4 - yes paper (pillow type) filter. You can tap out loose debris, but OEM not expensive, so probably better to just replace it. Important, to remove the top of the air box, you need to remove the cunningly concealed screws from under it! which requires completely removing it from the engine first.

Hi Chris, I agree that the change interval for the air filter does seem a little optimistic - I changed mine (very low mileage) at 4 years, and it was, I thought, heavily clogged! I also changed the pollen filter, which had obviously NOT been replaced during the regular, main dealer, services!

Yes - but could it not be possible that the greyed-out area is overlaid to indicate the signal degradation? So far as I know, weather radar uses very specialised frequencies.

I rather suspect that the sand in the atmosphere was actually degrading the signal from the satellites resulting in the 'greyed out' area.

Almost forgot, the larger cutout takes the retractable load cover.

Hello, possible that your battery going down to +- 5 volts overnight has damaged it - I'd be inclined to think the Fluke (DMM ?) readings as likely to be accurate.

AGM should be charging at about 14.7 volts - a lot will depend on how accurate the instrument being used to measure voltages is.

Hi Dutch, yes, that adaptation should read fleece. AGM charging voltage is higher than 'WET' battery type.

Hi Armis, welcome to the forum. I'm sure that will be a crimped connection (not push-on) - there will almost certainly be high pressures involved. You possibly will be able to find a hose specialist who can make a new hose cheaper - but car will be off the road while that is being done.

Seriously not going to significantly affect the gearing on a 220 VRS! - I run 4.9% diameter increase for my winter tyres on my lowly 1.4 and do not feel or see any significant difference apart from reducing the error of my speedometer to approx. zero.

I'm not sure of the terms and conditions in the Skoda approved warranty - check those, they will specify who you need to take it to for diagnosis. If considered unsafe to drive that distance, probably should be recovered.
