  1. I did as you suggested, It still never came up with a "how to" that I could see, to which you could point someone straight to, just loads of different topics regarding those that needed or had swapped the resistor, but nothing any good. Thats why I suggested that if there was a topic at the front page of the forum, ie a "How to" topic specific to Fabia II, it would be even easier for anyone to find as there would not be "that" many topics. anyway this was on page 3 or 4 of searching, which is probably the most useful thing I found.
  2. Not so sure, the search function here often gives poor results imo and the "how to's" should ideally be vehicle model specific instead of being grouped across all vehicle models, would be easy to find all Fabia "how to" related stuff in this Forum for example, instead of trawling through pages which could mean nothing but happen to have the "search term" you entered in it. anyway........this is what your after https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202047381550
  3. looks to me that the loom is only dependant on whether you have electirc windows only at the front or all four https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/roomster/ro/2012-699/9/971-972035/
  4. Its supposed to, so when your towing your fog lights dont "glow" of the trailer or caravan (albeit a little one)
  5. just incase you was not sure what I meant earlier, and ideally before you take it anywhere, check the item below, I am confident thats your guilty part.
  6. no, follow the injector loom from the injectors back to the plug on the engine head, check the continuity from there to each injector.
  7. ok, will try once more for an explanation as to what you originally posted, thats all I'm after, I know thats proving difficult............ You said :- They should, but it's a non-issue since they're not compulsory once the vehicle's been registered. So, now I understand what registration is as I was obviously struggling..........., what the hell does that have to do with it being compulsory or not ?
  8. nope not to me, the DRL's are not compulsory, yes make sense, but I have no idea what you mean by "once it's been registered"
  9. people looking far to "deep" What I would suggest is the clonk is from the rear lower "dog bone" engine mounting, it clonks when you change direction as the weight of the engine shifts backwards or forwards, often happens when hitting the brakes as well.
  10. What do you mean by this ?
  11. Thats what happened to mine, the switch spring goes weak and won't hold connection, I first noticed mine going off over a speed hump, then playing with the switch it was easy to see why. As I mentioned earlier, if you want them working now, just disconnect the switch and bridge the 2 wires together. The switch was removed in later vehicles anyway, probably because they realised it was rubbish.
  12. I would not consider 65k high mileage, irrespective if it's a second hand car or not.
  13. from what I can find looks to be 120,000KM or 75,000miles in dusty climates or 210,000km or 130,000miles in "normal" climates, which imo would cover the UK. Certainly should not fail this early.
  14. look in the serivce book, should show interval for cambelt.
  15. yes supposed to come on with ignition, my guess is the switch is possibly faulty, have you tried "wiggling / switching it" a few times ? To confirm, just remove plug from switch and connect wires, if lights come on, theres your answer.
  16. P/N 03C121004J Be prepared if you want to use genuine parts, it's pricey !!
  17. If you follow the wiring, it's shows where they go to, those are connected between the switch and relay and seat pads. for example the right hand one from terminal 2 on the switch, to terminal 5 on the relay then from terminal 3 on relay out on (a) to the seat pad and back rest pad (positive feed) The 2 you marked are the 2 settings, 1 and 2 on the switch. But you don't really need to know this, if you connect the wires between all the terminals (relay to switch to seats) as per diagrams, when you supply the voltage it will work as required.
  18. Sorry, not sure what you mean ??
  19. B341 is for the back lighting of the instruments / switch, so that can be spliced of any other switch to feed the switch internal lighting B346 looks to be an ignition live feed.
  20. Showing your age now......... My point (which was a joke) and seems to be misconstrued (as usual ) is that my wife (and "probably a lot" women) really would not notice the cars handling had changed, unless the tyres were all flat!!
  21. Im amazed you have a wife who is even able to tell the car handling has changed !!!
  22. well, to be sure, ring the dealer and ask for part numbers REF your VIN. I dont think there is any different lengths on vehicles with PAS Just put my vehicle in Eurocarparts, only one type, no lengths or diff lengths available with PAS, only without PAS when it's 275mm.
  23. its because their parts search V vehicle type is rubbish. It always helps to provide the year of manufacture / engine type of your vehicle when asking for parts help. As you can see by the link below..........there is no different lengths on vehicles with PAS. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2013-697/4/423-423043/#13
  24. It's possible to duplicate the exact factory install, just need to order the relevant connectors for the switches and under seat plugs and then the relays for the main rack under the steering wheel + wiring obviously.
  25. no look at the wiring, you will see thermal switches, these are built in / part of the heater pad in the seat. That kit from the chech republic is just their "own" kit using factory switches. The control box is basically 2 relays and a power supply in one box.
