no issues with fuses works perfectly fine when the weather is cold usually sub 8 degrees but anything above that and it doesn't fully open- Electric boot not fully opening when warm
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what to look for for this. SEL with the electric boot, I don't believe it's the struts/motors at fault. Whenever it's warm outside say about 10 degrees the boot doesn't want to open fully it gets half way then stops with the error beep and then you have to force it open. It did it last summer but as we got into the colder temps and all during winter the boot worked no problems opening fully, Now the temp is picking back up it's getting half way then stopped. Tried to see if i could see any damaged wires but couldn't see any. Codes so hall sensors so im wondering if somethings expending when its hot and making it look like theres an obstruction so stopping it. 3 Faults Found: 0024 - Hall Sensors in Motor 1 for Rear Lid B1211 02 [00001000] - Signal Failure Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Priority: 4 Fault Frequency: 3 Reset counter: 219 Mileage: 167387 km Date: 2025.04.11 Time: 18:39:15 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: On Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage comp. cover: sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage compartment cover: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF 0025 - Hall Sensors in Motor 1 for Rear Lid B1211 02 [00001000] - Signal Failure Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Priority: 4 Fault Frequency: 2 Reset counter: 219 Mileage: 167387 km Date: 2025.04.11 Time: 18:39:37 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage comp. cover: sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage compartment cover: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF 0029 - Hall Sensors in Motor 2 for Rear Lid B120A 02 [00001000] - Signal Failure Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Priority: 4 Fault Frequency: 2 Reset counter: 219 Mileage: 167387 km Date: 2025.04.11 Time: 18:39:37 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2 for tailgate: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 1: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor 2: Sensor 2: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage comp. cover: sensor 1: 00000000 Status of hall sensor in motor for tailgate-Motor for luggage compartment cover: Hall sensor voltage supply: OFF- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*

Noticed i didn't update this after street weekend. Was eventful. On the cover Made it to pod and in line first day was just to get a number on the board don't want to break it on the first run but sadly just after my run it started raining and the day was called off. Did hang back to help a friend with his car get it sorted so by the time we left it had dried up and the stance with the new suspension seems to better good. First Stop was Skegness Pier eventful drive with all the rain, complete storm out Next Checkpoint was the Viking Way Cafe Then onto Melbourne Raceway, Noticed that there wasn't much meth left in the tank after the pod run and after talking to the guys at darkside as we were confused how it's using alot of meth i stepped it down a nozzle number to reduce the flow and refilled the tank. First Run was up against a Commer Van with a B204 Second run was against my friend Abi's Abarth you can see from the video with the torque steer it was pulling itself all over the place about 11 seconds in Noticed the 0-60 out the corner of my eye and it managed a 5.15 fastest its ever went Then noticed the meth light on...used 4.5 litres in 2 1/8 mile runs so something not right here and it's not leaking definately going through the engine. Time for the next stage of the road trip, first stop was the motorist. Then down to Great Northern Classic's and back to pod First run was up against my friends michael and dale from spotted motors in their Cortina, No meth just to get a time on the board. Sitting 2nd overall in Diesel and there was someone with another fabia climbing up the table and getting closer to my average so took it in line for another run with the meth turned on which ended like this launch was awful, got into 2nd wheelspin, put it into 3rd to run out the wheelspin and could hear it misfire and before my brain could tell my foot to lift off there was a bang. Turned it off pulled over to the side. Once stopped turned it over to be met with it free spinning and no compression. Marshall came over and asked if it was driveable told him no i think its blew the engine. He had a quick look under and said it wasn't leaking. Opened the bonnet to find the bolt that holds the injectors had snapped and fired the injectors out of the engine breaking all the leak off pipes, bending the hardpipes and denting the bonnet. Again from the trackside pictures it looks like the meth was overfueling and created too high a cylinder pressure. still managed to secure 2nd over all in diesel behind a 450bhp 435D Thankfully Darkside were on the drive home and they said to drop it off on the way home which lucky another competitor i was with stuck it on their truck up to darkside then took me back home to scotland. End result in the damage was 2 new injectors, new leak off pipes and a new rail and hardpipes. Still best modified car event there is in the uk- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Well 5 years later and it turns out they do 😂although these are off a 6P Ibiza cupra changing out the meth nozzles too for next weekends event then it's off to darkside for more power.- S3 owners - electric tailgate / hatch closing from inside

last day of the year out at crail, times down due to no heat in the ground but fastest trap speed its ever done so making the power still Racing a PD160 Cupra with a 2260 and 100bhp of nitrous on top Racing a friend who does VWDRC in his 20vt Lupo on drag slicks, no traction for me at all but still reeled him in PD130 ibiza with a PD150 turbo Racing a friends clio 182 turbo, ran out of meth but before this run and forgot to top it up so was a fair amount of power down compared to usual Then ended the reason with a trip to pod with the AWD RX7- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
Took it back up to crail last weekend. New fastest time and trapping a lot faster than it did on the old engine. Vs 500whp corsa c Fn2 civic Astra VXR 2jz s13 Next one was the fun one Vs b204 Astra As you can hear shifting from 2nd to 3rd and didn’t have a 3rd gear. On my mounts they are solid mounts which have spacers on them like this the nut had came off and the spacer came out and lodged itself in the cable engine pulling the linkage out when I changed gear 😂 thankfully an easy fix. Darkside wanted the car at a show down their way so it went down at the weekend. when the car originally went on this engine it was given a base map then every since then it was remapped remotely on the road so never knew how much power it made. It’s also got some new experimental cams as well and thought why not see how much power it has. Certainly surprised us and explains why it’s faster than it was before! Now on 172 dyno pulls on darksides dyno 😂 Some from the show- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*
timing system went down so no times Took it to a hill climb a couple of weeks after that event, a friend had rented out the track to test on it and invited me along. been a while since i did a sprint and never on this set up, 2260 really doesnt look low speed stuff 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsoKAw51z7E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAXrySVX3ak Was talking to Tomas from Darkside who has the silver fabia on saturday night about how i was wanting to go back to Melbourne in York and that there was an event on there at the weekend, He said we should go along so que a 5am start from me to head down. Took home fastest fwd of the day. Back out at crail at the weekend, decided to head up to help a friend with their 9 second street car. managed to get a few runs in as well to test out some changes, look forward to see what the fan club have to say this time 🥰 500BHP Noble owner seemed as surprised as me there was only a car length in it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9CbyNlwHAM GTB2566 Fabia vRS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gsprhjKbyk 425BHP M140i https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibdssb45Vd0 390BHP 8V S3 staged too deep on this one so tripped the beam and red lit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEyiTySzu30 the 2 AWD Honda's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZdk5m21yTU- AMD's 2 litre 304bhp 162mph Fabia Monte Carlo TDi *6 speed conversion*

Only 1000bhp? Not sure what event you followed but there was RS3’s making more than that 🤣 never mind Andy’s car that runs 6s at over 200mph and if you paid attention there was classes but then you’d still have got gapped in the fwd class if you turned up😅 - What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
