  1. Me again... Same question, but the other way, this time. My AQS has 2 OEM references: 5Q0 907 643D & 5Q0 907 659C. I can't find any AQS with same references at a reasonnable price (when there proposed!). F version is even more expensive. Would it be possible to take a downgraded version? Several sensors comply simultaneously with 5Q0 907 643 A, B or C ; and 5Q0 907 659 A or B indeed. Is it a problem to go for an "older version"? Note: I don't want any AQS from Ali or equivalent for les than 20€. I can't trust them. They are from unknown manufacturers.
  2. Finally buttons on the center console should not be a mess since they can tuned with 1 up to 4 functions out of 6. Nice car either in Estate or Hatchback version. I now only fear the price increase...
  3. Touch up kit is good for paint colour, but the brush it contains only lead to poor quality result. This kind of tool gives a much better result: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005003937519496.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.38ab4dd0u9uDkB&algo_pvid=3ce5fe84-405b-4d4b-b700-637c1e4f2652&algo_exp_id=3ce5fe84-405b-4d4b-b700-637c1e4f2652-3&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000027511367368"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!EUR!8.56!5.57!!!!!%402100bb4a16672607130663010e9927!12000027511367368!sea&curPageLogUid=he4xkkNrRfl1 No dough around the area to treat. I've seen this on "Car SOS", they treated stone chips on the bonnet of a Porsche 911 Mk1 bonnet, with excellent result. I've done the same on my front bumper and bonnet, very satisfied with the result.
  4. Two side bumps are intended to make some space for a big V8 engine soon... 🤣
  5. I've checked the reference of my Air Quality Sensor. It's 5Q0 607 943D. I can't find back @ApertureS information whether F version can replace D version with or without mandatory SW update. 😐 TIA for your help. There are big price differences depending on C, D or F version... 😯
  6. Some pics after installation: Front cam: ... which doesn't come to low under the inner rearview mirror. Hence it doesn't hide what happens ahead. Rear cam is quite small at the top of the tailgate window... But it's not well integrated, at least... not in an OEM spirit: But I'm thinking about it to arrange that. Pas encore fini d'analyser la qualité des images enregistrées. A suivre...
  7. First tests are pretty encouraging. Under daylight though rainy weather, plates can be read easily on my smartphone. At night, it’s hard to read plates on my smartphone. But I need to download the videos on my laptop to look again on a bigger screen. It might be possible. 🤔 Tests stiil pending. Pics coming soon.
  8. I also have « Front assist / Rear trafic assist unavailable » message sometimes. As far as I can remember, VCDS scan points out a low voltage battery. I have to say the message tends to appear when my Mk3 has not moved for a couple of days. The battery is the original one, soon 6 years old. I will probably replace it before the end of the year.
  9. I finally bought and installed this one: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHzt4Jl Plan to need several hours to install it if you buy the same or any equivalent. Videos on the website are a joke. The way to remove the housing around the inside rearview mirror is not the right one. You have to remove both left and right parts before rear housing indeed. Pay also attention to fix the video cable to existing harnesses with tie-wraps so it doesn’t disturb airbags if they need to blow out. I´ve routed the video cable along A-pilar, then down under front and rear door steps, up along rear seat backrest, behind upper plastic part of boot side panel, then up inside D-pilar, thru the rubber hose arround tailgate cables and rear washer hose, and finally thru the upper part of taigate. I only had to drill a small hole on the rear window housing to make the rear cam cable go thru it. I had to screw the cam, since the double sided tape doesn’t stick enough on the grained plastic. Pictures coming soon. Test pending.
  10. Hi, I know UK / Ireland are islands and thus never far from sea, but quite surprised to read these corrosion issues. Especially, rear brake discs. Never read any topic about that on french Skoda forums... Happy for you if you had the problem solved quickly. Issue about brakes could lead to a very bad end...
  11. I used a thin hard wire, stuck to the video cable connector with scotch tape to make the connector go thru the rubber hose. A single drop of 5W30 engine oil in my finger and then passed my finger all around the scotch tape and pulled the hard wire. This went not that bad in the end. But I agree, the rubber hose is full ! In the next days, I plan to order black inner rearview mirror housings to make a housing for the rear camera so that it looks OEM. I had a quick look with my original parts. It seems feasible. The hole for the rearview mirror has nearly the same size as the camera lens.
  12. Dual dashcam installed today. Installation videos on sellers websites saying only 10mn are needed is a joke! It took me several hours to install both cameras properly. I paid attention to use tie-wraps to fix the video wire to existing harnesses to be sure it doesn’t disturb airbags blowing out especially along A-pilar and along the rear seat backrest where my Mk3 has additional airbags for rear passengers. Making the cable connector go through the rubber hose of the tailgate was a mess… I finished quite late and night was already down. I ´ll go for a drive tomorrow to check the video quality and adjust the rear camera pitch angle.
  13. I know TDI150 is like a camel but 15,5l for 15000miles seems really low. Great performance! Happy for you. My average AdBlue consumption is 0.12l/100km over 100000km. TDI190 (+dead weight due to Haldex system) is a bit greedier, espacially if one has lead sole with gas pedal… 😂
  14. What engine do you have? The AdBlue range is only 14500 km on my TDI190 DSG6. 🤔
  15. One can’t compare a Kamiq and a Superb…
  16. Errr… Superb Mk4 estate boot: 690l Kodiaq Mk2 boot: 950l… If I remember the figures correctly…
  17. Did you have a look on any car spare parts website? They’ll definitely have lower prices than an official Skoda dealer. I would bet at least by 30% less. It’s maybe worth to spend 1 or 2 hours on internet. 🤔
  18. Sorry if I´m curious. C’est What’s the purpose of additional DRLs ?
  19. If it’s a rental car, I missed this info, then one point for you. 😉 Regarding tow bar, I know you guys in UK use to tow caravans more often than we do in France. I do have a tow bar but only towed a small trailer to the recycling center less than once a year. Thus towing is negligible on the wear of my Mk3.
  20. That’s true, but statistically less probable than 2 drivers (husband & wife), eventually 3 if considering a teenager as young driver in the family.
  21. @JR RS I needto change mine too. Do you think there is any risk in upgrading the HW reference w/o upgrading the SW version? I ask just in case I don’t find the same reference as the old one.
  22. Which toolbox and patch are you talking about? Do you mean you´ve uploaded a new software/firmware?
  23. It may happen if you don’t use A/C very often… Mine is ON all the time
  24. Mon smartphone automatically corrected « Sportline » into « sportive »…. 🙄 What’s the trick to do it on a non-Sportline version? TIA… 😉
  25. Just search on the forum, there's a topic about that, if I remember well.
