  1. Probably because a diesel + tuning box is less expensive than a petrol car for the same BHP value? I'm not saying this is true, just guessing... 🤔
  2. Have a look to your side lights bulbs. There may be one burnt out or there may be a grounding issue around you side lights... 🤔
  3. @kentdale & @JR RS For sure to late for you. But this may help:
  4. Amazing colour 😍 ! Not everyone''s Superb for sure! Great choice!
  5. @bubib5 I'll double check, but it's the only conditions I've seen it working...🤔
  6. Rear camera spray only works when rear wiper on AND reverse gear selected. I don't think it can be changed.
  7. Not my case. They behave normally. The guy from my Skoda dealer showed me a shock absorber, which had leaked and that they had changed from another car. The strut is all soaked, you can't miss it. I don't have anything like that. Anyway, this suits me. many hundreds of € saved!
  8. Hi, I went to my local dealer this afternoon to have both DCC front shock absorber inspected. And surprisingly, they didn't see anything wrong. They even proposed me to check by myself and I didn't see any spot of grease on both side indeed. I touched the rod on both sides but no sign of any oily film on them. Thus I'm really asking myself what the bloke from the MOT had really seen... 🤔
  9. It's every 3 years indeed. I know may look odd considering every owner can have very different mileage in 3 years. I've made my own philosophy and change Haldex oil every 45000 km (~30000 miles). Note: Superb Mk3 is fitted with Haldex Gen V, which doesn't have any filter as Gen IV used to have. Thus all dealers just make a simple oil change according to Skoda maintenance manual. But if you go a bit further, the Haldex oil pump has a strainer which is not cleaned during the normal Haldex oil change (not even mentioned in Skoda maintenance manual) ! If you want to make things nice job, just have a look here: Enjoy ! Mk3 is a good car. However, some face coolant pump issue on TDI and front shock absorber leaks on DCC versions.
  10. Errrr.. Which tyres are you referring to regarding Goodyear and Continental? I've never read such comments here (may be I missed some...) PS4 sidewalls are quite stiff. I've driven Continental SportContact few years ago, which are direct alternative to PS4 AFAIK. I didn't notice any awesome difference. IMHO They seem me very similar (regarding sidewall stiffness). No advice about Goodyear, I've never driven any equivalent to PS4 from this brand. Additionally Superb Mk3 (even a TSI280 one) cannot be compared to a 'GTI'... (at least if still stock).
  11. @Carlston As far as I've read hear, only an extreme minority of Mk3 owners do use PS4S. PS4 is probably what you meant and much more common among Mk3 owners.
  12. @Danoid 2 answers for you: Differences between PS4 and PS4S: A picture of my PS4 regarding rim protection: Quite efficient. I really thought I had dammaged it when I hit a kerb this summer, but the rim was ok. Pfewwww!!!! Severals quids saved!
  13. Go for Michelin PS4! Good grip in all conditions (for summer tyres), sharper steering, better feedback information through the steering wheel. Not too noisy. Just search on this forum, PS4 often come back with positive comments.
  14. I would also recommend lighter 19’´ wheels, as @newbie69 did. It should improve overall response time upon full throttle.
  15. Got the same on my wife’s Q3. But they were more efficient and solved the problem at the first attempt. Nevertheless, it costed them a rim restoration and a car rental for 2 days, since we have no spare wheel on the Q3. Expensive mistake... Hope for you you get a new rim.
  16. IMHO M117 look much more consistent with glossy black parts.
  17. They've become keen on speed bumps in the neighborhood indeed! 🙄 My local dealer is OK to have a closer look on 1/3rd/2022. I'll see what they say then.
  18. Good job. It would have deserved a picture in the sunshine to highlight your stunning work.
  19. Same issue on mine. Both DCC front absorbers start leaking. Only 65000 km...
  20. Hi all, I had my first visit for "Technical check", which seems to correspond to your MOT, as far as I understand. Big disappointment: Both front shock absorbers (DCC version) start leaking. According to the bloke, it's the very beginning, so no big hurry to replace them, but he recommends to do it before mid 2022... He also said this is quitte common on several VAG models. My Mk3 is only 65700 km, and is mainly driven on motorways and alone (thus very rarely fully loaded, only for holidays with whole family and luggage), I'm very surprised. I already had to replace the coolant pump 3500 km ago, it starts nerving me 🤬! Very disappointed compared to my former Mk2, which had no issue! Regarding replacement, any advice whether going OEM or rather another brand? Thanks for your advices guys!
  21. @mr93 Just have a look to previous page of this thread. I've already posted 2 pics of the fog lights with H8 MTEC Superwhite installed. Very consistent color with Xenon low beams.
  22. I had the same problem with my former Superb Mk2, when it had 5,5 years old and 108000km. The sunroof chassis had cracked close to the control panel. The total bill was around 2500€ (in 2017), including parts, labor and VAT. Skoda France granted me a 65% support since I had told to my dealer, that the Skoda France answer would directly influence my decision to buy my current Mk3 Estate (L&K TDI190 4x4)... or not. I assume my dealer strongly supported my claim.
  23. @mr93 No OBC anti-error module. Straight plugged in and... No error 😜 Also replaced following bulbs : - The rear turn signal. I took these: https://www.ledperf.com/ampoule-py21w-magnifier-a-21-leds-sg-haute-puissance-loupe-oranges-culot-bau15s-p-5417.html - Boot lights by white LED ones - Door lights (front ones with Skoda Logo, rear ones with plain white W5W T10 LEDS, but not fully satisfied. I'm looking for Red+White door lights w/o logo, but can't find some.) - Front Antifog lights. Used halogen MTEC Superwhite, which are a little "colder" than OEM light. They look very consistent with front headlights color (Xenon Low Beams) Apart from lights: Replaced the original plain L&K rear bumper diffuser, by a Sportline one Installed : - Front & Rear rubber mats w. rear rubber tunnel cover - Rear bumper stainless steel protection - Door hinge cover - Chrom door hook cover - Front & Rear mud flaps - Tyre valve caps w. Skoda Logo Made several VCDS mods too. ;)
  24. I bought these ones : https://www.ledperf.com/ampoule-leds-backup-p21w-pour-feux-de-recul-blanche-ultra-bright-culot-ba15s-p-4981.html Fully satisfied with them. But may be worth to find in the UK, you're right, since taxes may have increased since Brexit.
