Been using my skoda app in UK for about 7 months. Not the best but at least we can do a few things with it

Got same issue with my car. Voice control is broken again. Does nothing but spin no matter how you select it. Laura does not respond. I'm on 1941 Software. Was able to get it working last time by doing a full reset to factory settings. But think it breaks during one of the many updates that seem to appear after the reset. Need to get it into the dealer for investigation

Guessing without the connect service I can't turn my air con and heated seats on in the car from my house via phone and I like that on a cold day.

I used to get these errors on my Mk3 when the battery was low on first start. The car would disable all that stuff till it had had the chance to charge a bit. Mostly happened after a period of a week or so not starting it

Well Laura has decided to stop talking to me again. Possibly because I said He/She was fuking useless. Neither 'ok laura' or button on steering wheel will work. Looks like I need to do a factory reset again. Am I right in thinking a factory reset will restore to base fw version of 1941 and all updates get wiped? If so I'm not going to update again as something in latest one keeps on breaking laura

That sounds like a whole brand new kettle of gremlins. I did an update on my info centre yesterday. Hopefully I'm not due the same stuff now

I was talking about initial startup not while the car is running. Basing my view on the issue happening twice for me and both times no mobile connection to the car. Its got to be a software issue and probably because it can't get config info from skoda server. My guess is as good as anyone else's as I had it looked at by skoda first time it happened and the car had recorded no errors at all in the logs

Yep last time after wondering around trying to get a signal to phone recovery with no luck. I tried again and it all worked no error at all. Been 2 months now without it happening again

I've had the issue couple of times since I got car and I've been on software 1941 since June. Thought it was just a hybrid issue. I put it down to being in areas with absolutely no mobile signal and car couldn't connect to skoda on start so it refused to work

You tried looking at car without the keys on you? Think it lights up that stuff if it recognises keys near car

My favourites etc disappeared on Wed morning. Normally happens after skoda connect goes down and they restore from a backup which is months old

Only use I can see for the lock/unlock via app is in case you lock keys in car. Know someone that had keys in jacket in boot and car allowed itself to be locked. Unfortunately he was 200 miles from home and his second key

Lock/unlock has to be authorised by skoda. Think you have to show them your driving licence or something

Yep my octi can display them. Think they added it as a software update back in 2022

This issue sounds like what I had with the voice control. Had to do a full factory reset on it all and setup primary user etc again.

Make it function like the old Mk3 info system with just the new improvements added I.e. The way you could flick through albums on old mk3 Radio station logo adding

Kaza, You have to set your media folders up by having folders by artist and then album and make sure the tags are all correct on the files. When it indexes them you can view by album or artist on screen. It defaults to song order on first setup. Go up folder to see album folder

I've got voice control. Have a lot of music on my USB stick. Every single time I start the car the system has to index the music again. Can take up to 5-10 mins of driving before I can use voice control to get it to select a song, artist or album. Getting fed up with the "media selection is unavailable at this time" response

Not as bad as the media search function in the actual car 😀

Possible the SW update reset historical consumption data and its dropped down average to 24miles. Should improve again the more you drive on elec. But mine is showing around that at moment anyway due to a week on holiday of no charging in cold and rain

I've never been able to understand the elec consumption data. I just go on a view on average I can do about 28miles in winter and about 34 in summer on full charge. But I live in an up and down world. Not many flat roads near me.

Something they probably had to disable so it wasn't as good as the audi/vw cars 😅

The skoda bars lock on securely and the caps over the rail locking mechanism also lock with a key. I only use mine for my ebike or carrying stuff at the time. Don't leave stuff on the car that someone would like to steal. Nothing you can get in terms of roof bars will stand up to someone wanting to take your stuff. Seen YouTube videos of people smacking thule Alan keyed racks off with a Hammer Generally if it stays on car while driving securely and stuff can't be stolen in a couple of mins while I'm paying for fuel or something it does the job.

So far, 1.Voice command is terrible generally 2. Voice resets to male regularly 3. Still crashes every now and then 4. Forgets settings all the time I.e. favourites 5. Usb stick using music files etc does not work well and forgets song it was playing 6. Freezing on startup while connecting to skoda server 7. Voice control broke completely. Had to restore to factory settings to fix

Yep I've got skoda one and it locks in using the plastic covers instead of Alan key. I was lucky and picked mine up second hand via ebay.
