  1. I've had this a few times. Last one the dealership replaced 12v battery and hasn't happened since
  2. Yep so annoying and I couldn't find anything to disable the auto locking
  3. Do a factory reset on the system. Past experience for me is that it does not always work correctly just upgrading. I had issues going to 1941 and 1969. In both cases a reset to factory fixed it
  4. Hi all, Has anyone been able to successfully permanently turn off the internal movement sensors? Was at a dog show today. Turned it off in the car settings menu. But every time I opened and closed it the dog kept on setting alarm off. Got to a stage I just left car unlocked and then it would auto lock after a while and set alarm off again
  5. If you switch to sport mode it will change from emode to hybrid and once the engine starts you can't switch back to emode till the engine warms up. However that does not explain why the car randomly starts engine. So many times I've popped into a shop after driving on battery. Plenty of charge and when I get back in after a min the car starts engine right away
  6. 😂 I wish it was that efficient. It hardly recovers a quarter it uses to go up hill
  7. I rarely get over 30miles in mine even with the air con off. Mostly due to living in a hilly area. They definitely affect the range
  8. Middle vents for me are in just the wrong place. Freezes my knee when I drive. You can't rest your foot on the support by the pedals 😅
  9. To control phone from dash you need to click right wheel to select right dial on dash. Scroll till you see your phone then press the right button below wheel. This should take you into phone settings. If your on call you can hang up. If not on call it should scroll through recents or allow you to go to your contacts. Basically you need the green active circle round the dial before you can press the right button
  10. Used to be able to turn on heated seats with the old essentials app. Can't with the new one. Sorry not cold enough yet in my area to test if remote heating comes on with air con
  11. Your doing a lot better than my IV. Just got 12k out of my front P7s. Weirdly I don't excessively wheel spin. But they must slip a bit when applying power. Probably due to motor torque and battery weight in back
  12. You can pull a fuse to hard reset car. Instead of waiting for battery to die. Can't remember which one but it's in another post on this forum
  13. I think the component protection in the Mk4s would make it unlikely you could fit anything that would work with core systems. But I'm not an expert
  14. My satnav used to lose favourites, phone favourites and radio presets when first delivered. It was on 1918 or something. Got dealership to upgrade which was pre 1941 that corrected those issues.Maybe 1936 but that was a year ago and I can't remember Your issues were fixed somewhere between 1803 and 1941 and upgrading to 1941 should fix. (However I've probably got different hardware versions than you. mine is a 2023 version. Fingers crossed it should work)
  15. Just had my 2 Pirelli P7 fronts replaced yesterday. Only got 12.5k miles out of them. Shortest lasting I've ever had but they did grip well. Now had Michelin Primacy 4s fitted. Not noticed any sound difference yet but I swear the front is more bouncy
  16. Version 1983 is already available for VW models. Give it a year and we will have it 😂
  17. See top of page 10 in this forum discussion. I've not seen anything in 1969 that improved anything. To me it's slower and takes ages to work from getting in car and pressing start button. Plus my Laura is broken again. So it didn't fix that issue
  18. Yep my experience is stick to 1941 unless you are still having issues. 1969 caused a few new issues for me
  19. I get nowhere near the above in mine 😂 the iV is pretty rapid and I end up having a heavier foot most drives where I switch to hybrid. Lucky if I get 400miles to a tank. But do a lot of local journeys on battery alone. But that does not last well as in hilly area
  20. Something else to think about too. The iV requires an oil change every 10k miles. It's another added running cost you will have to do. Plus the tyres don't last well either
  21. I used to get it on low 12v battery. Seemed to turn stuff off if low charge when I started the car. Not really happened since they replaced battery
  22. My IV looks like this. At least you get a cover 😅
  23. My Octavia IV came with Pirelli tyres? Not sure why. Might be a battery weight thing. Don't rate them as I already need 2 new front and only done 13k miles
  24. Isn't heated seats standard on SE Tech onwards?
  25. Starting to think this is a new bug from one of the recent updates 😅
