Changing MFD from KPH to MPH in Catterick area help? Will pay! :-)
I'm not familiar with the Yeti and its MFD but in my 2017 Octavia the setting to change to Miles or Kilometres is available in the general settings menu of my MFD. Isn't it the same for you?

Updating Amundsen SatNav for 2015 Octavia Elegance
You've more than likely copied the outer/containing folder and the map contents to the sd card. It's a common mistake that people make but this prevents the unit from reading the card. Format the sd card again and then only copy the folder named " maps " to the sd card ( no outer folder ). That should sort it ( if that's what I think you've done but take into account that I'm also assuming the map structure for your MIB1 Amundsen is the same as my MIB2 Amundsen - I could be wrong though! ).

Smart link enable
There is now a free way available to enable Mirrorlink/Carplay. I've not tested it myself because mine came pre installed with it but everything else I've tried works. Here's a slightly edited copy of a post that I made in another forum: Here's a tool which allows you to enable MirrorlinkCarplay: https://github.com/olli991/mib-std2-pq-zr-toolbox Please take note: You will need to enable Developer Mode/Green Engineering Menu ( GEM ) in your MIB2 using VCDS/OBD11 or some other diagnostic software before using this tool. This tool is ONLY FOR DISCOVER MEDIA ( Amundsen ) NOT FOR DISCOVER PRO ( Columbus ). There is a link on the webpage for the Discover Pro ( Columbus ) version but I don't know whether it offers the same mods. I am not affiliated in any way to this tool but I have tested it and it worked fine for me. The usual disclaimer: Use at your own risk! Finally here's a Youtube video which I used to show me how to install and use the tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAou90S_R-Y And here's a video showing how to activate Mirrorlink/Carplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9uwYmBPc1Q Enjoy!!

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
@Tazdaz You need to check which infotainment unit you have installed as there are 2 different methods to make TMC work again. If you have the Columbus unit installed then the code change should be all that is needed and it should work. On the other hand, if you have the Amundsen unit installed ( which is what I suspect is your issue ) then any code change will be a complete waste of time. In order for the Amundsen unit to get TMC working again you will need to download the older version map and patch posted earlier in this thread and revert to your original 32771 code. I do stand corrected if my suspicion is wrong though.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
In your scenario then your Leon will work with the V12 map and patch while your Yeti will work by doing the config posted a couple of pages earlier by pcbbc.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I don't quite understand your question but if your Seat has a MIB2STD and you have a V12 or older map then this fix should work. After the V12 maps VAG moved to a new map supplier for this unit who dropped the TMC support for Inrix. If you're asking why this fix doesn't work on other models e,g. MIB2HIGH then that's because it's a different unit with different software and different maps. Hope that clarifies it for you.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
Ok then: MAJOR WARNING!! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Procedure for enabling RDS-TMC on the MIB2STD aka Amundsen/Discover Media/Technisat. Requirements: VCDS/OBD11, MIB STD2 Toolbox and a V12 or older map version. Using VCDS/OBD11 enable Development Mode in Unit5F of your vehicle to enable the Green Engineering Menu (GEM for short) display on your unit. Using the adaptions menu of your diagnostic tool change/check the setting FEE BASED TRAFFIC INFO (TMC) is set to 1023. After installing the V12 or older map onto your SD card navigate to the "mapcfg" folder ( \maps\00\cfg\mapcfg). Inside you will find 3 folders named VW, SEAT and SKODA. Inside each folder navigate to Traffic then TMC and you will see 2 folders named TmcProviders and TmcProviderSets. Replace the respective .xml file in each folder with the ones attached below. Do this for all the 3 folders i.e. VW, SEAT and SKODA. That's the map configured. Now to configure the unit. Install the MIB STD Toolbox and after installation is complete enter the GEM by long pressing the MENU button and entering the Testmode Menu option. Using the toolbox settings make a dump of your mapcfg folder. Copy the dump of your mapcfg folder to the matching counterpart of the Customization folder inside the toolbox. Enter the Customization folder and navigate to Traffic then TMC and replace the 2 .xml files in their respective folders with the same ones attached. Re-enter the GEM and using the toolbox upload your customized folder to your unit. Press the Traffic Button on your unit and after a few minutes traffic reports should start appearing. That's it job done. This procedure will store 2 errors on your unit which won't affect the unit and can only be seen by using a diagnostic tool. Should you wish to remove them permanently Step 1 is to use the toolbox settings and remove your SWDL ( software download ) history leaving only the last SWDL visible. Step 2 is to do the XOR adaptation in the Confirmation Of Installation setting using your diagnostic tool. Some useful info : I have not linked to any websites so Google is your friend. There are a couple of different version toolboxes so make sure you use the correct one. The toolbox is a very powerful tool which can be used to enable Mirrorlink/Carplay for free ( untested by me ) and it can also enable the use of any SD card for your map ( tested by me and works faultlessly ) so use it with caution. There's plenty of videos around on the usual site. I used the ones by Mr Fix to guide me. With regards to the maps I don't know of any links sorry. Furthermore, I don't think you can use 2 maps at the same time. Also if you do change your map to a different version and you then decide to go back to the map you just customized you will need to do this procedure all over again. It's even a possibility ( untested ) that you may have to do the customization of your unit if you even remove and re-insert your map SD card. It's unfortunate that this fix will only work on older maps at the present time but hopefully this procedure is of help to anyone who tries it. It's not for the faint hearted but can be done. You have to decide yourself if the effort is worth it. The MIB2HIGH units are quite easy to do compared to the MIB2STD. TmcProviders.xmlTmcProviderSets.xml

Ventilation problem
I've got the exact same problem but on the right hand side and I can't get at the lousy thing. Anyway, first of all you need to be aware that there are 2 different brands of part depending whether your heating system is Valeo or Denso. The only way to tell is by removing the old part. The problem usually lies with a potentiometer inside the motor which can be obtained for a couple of Euros or less from Ali express. There's also a couple of you-tube videos floating about showing how to fix it by cleaning the potentiometer. In your instance though, you need to check the actual flaps and cogs for any damage. As for the task in hand read this thread since it should be particularly useful to you as the vehicle concerned in one of the posts is also a left hand drive vehicle:

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
As I posted earlier in this thread - I've sussed the Amundsen but unfortunately it's not as straight forward as the Columbus. The Amundsen map makers removed the Traffic Information tables from the maps circa 2019/20 so at the moment only maps prior to that period will work. Furthermore, to make the maps work some techy work needs to be done by the user which would involve the use of Vcds/Obd11 along with the correct version of the MIB2Toolbox. I envisage that a lot of users might have trouble accessing/using these tools and could possibly end up damaging their units. I've been trying to prepare a more simpler method which I know can be done but so far due to my own limited abilities I have been unsuccessful. I'm a bit reluctant to post my method at the present time as I wouldn't want the blame for anybody's mishaps so I will keep trying for a few more days to come up with an easier method. Failing that - I will as a final resort - post my " how to " with the " do so at your own risk " warning.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
Personally I think that would be a very bad move. It's not just a simple code change - it also involves a licence agreement with the TMC supplier. I'm guessing maybe a six figure sum or more. Also if the TMC supplier gets a whiff of our patches they could force VAG to take their codes out of all future maps or possibly change their encryption method.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I'm holding back to see if I can come up with a simpler patch that wouldn't need the use of the MIB2Toolbox. It would make it a lot simpler for people to do it. Basically just copying and pasting a single folder into your V12 or earlier map. As soon as I can accomplish it I will post an attachment. Failing that I will explain the long method.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I actually have a work around for the MIB2 STD ( Amundsen ) but unfortunately as stated by pcbbc it will only work on maps up to V12 as VAG changed the map supplier for the MIB2 STD after that version. Unfortunately, it's not as simple to achieve as the MIB2HIGH and it involves changing map files and uploading a file to your unit using MIB2Toolbox . Not for the fainthearted! but it does work. So basically, as it stands at the moment, it's a choice of using an up to date map and no TMC or an out of date map ( version 20/21 ) but with free TMC.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I think a firmware update would definitely be required. TMC in the UK is a subscription service. While I agree the TMC tables and TMC provider details can be adapted in the map data it's my understanding from googling around that you also need a service encryption key to access the data and I also read somewhere that the key changes every day. Since the TMC provider only licences the individual receiver and not the map it's my understanding that the service encryption keys are embedded in the firmware of each individual navigation unit. Here's a quote from the actual TmcProviders.xml which is contained inside the map: <!-- Attention Service Keys are scrambled in TmcEncryptionManager --> I can't find any TmcEncryptionManager anywhere inside the map so logically it must reside in the firmware and this would make sense.

Sd Card to small for the new update
No worries - I just wish I'd found that tool before I had bought a sd card from an ebay seller in Lithuania 😀. The tool definitely works though. I tested it on a spare sd card. And the tool is pretty easy to install. It looks slightly complicated on first glance but it's not really. I've installed it and uninstalled it a few times and there's quite a few other mods that it can do as well.

Sd Card to small for the new update
There is now a free way available to use any sd card. I've tested it on my Amundsen MIB2 and it works. Here's a slightly edited copy of a post that I made in another forum: Here's a tool which allows you to use any sd card for your maps ( plus a load of other extras ). No CID needed anymore as this tool removes the CID lock: GitHub - olli991/mib-std2-pq-zr-toolbox: Toolbox for MIB STD2 PQ/ZR Technisat/Preh units. Please take note: You will need to enable Developer Mode/Green Engineering Menu ( GEM ) in your MIB2 using VCDS or some other diagnostic software before using this tool. TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
Yes, hopefully so - as long as they pay for the service I think the capability is there. You have to use VCDS or OBD11 and change the setting Fee Based Traffic Info (TMC) in Unit 5F. All the various TMC provider lists and tables are displayed in your map files for referencing. They are in the following directory on my map but it depends on which map you are using: DiscoverMedia2_EU-AS_1730_V14\maps\00\cfg\mapcfg\SKODA\traffic\tmc

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
Just to say that I've checked and rechecked the TMC setting programmed into my vehicle and the same with the TMC Providers file and the TMC Provider Sets file contained in my map cfg files and Trafficmaster was definitely the TMC provider for my TMC data in my MIB2 unit which is without online services. Although there is a Provider ID for INRIX available it has never been implemented on my unit. I have tried using the INRIX ID set by reprogramming my TMC setting on my unit but it still won't work.

Skoda Rapid 2017 integrated Satnav not receiving TMC traffic messages.
I tried to change the 5F value ENG 109862-ENG 126994-Vehicle_configuration-TPEG_availability from OFF to On.
-
Skoda Rapid 2017 integrated Satnav not receiving TMC traffic messages.
I assume the answer is no because I've already tried enabling TPEG on my Amundsen MIB2 using VCDS. Unfortunately it came up with an error message stating that it was out of the range of the controller and it therefore refused to accept the adaptation. I'm surmising that the unit hasn't got the necessary hardware to support it.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
My reply was similar. It also included the same bad grammar 😀: Thank you for your email. This information was never handle with us Directly, it used our Traffic services but each customer did not have an account with us directly, it always went through the vehicle manufacture. Unfortunately, you will need to speak with them directly as each customer this affects doesn't have an account with us. Kind Regards Smartnav Support

Skoda Rapid 2017 integrated Satnav not receiving TMC traffic messages.
The best and easiest solution that I can think of would be for VW/Skoda to move to an alternative RDS-TMC supplier e.g. INRIX. The only caveat being that for this solution to work the TMC tables and TMC codes contained in our existing maps would need to be changed or altered. This could be implemented easily in future maps. It maybe that the actual issue does not lie directly with the vehicle manufacturer but with the maps supplier whom I believe is a company called Here. Perhaps they deal with the RDS-TMC licence as the actual TMC data supplier details are stored in the actual map files.

TMC traffic events no longer being received...firmware update required?
I hope you're right. Meantime, just an update. I got fed up waiting for an email so I've just got off the phone to Teleman Navtrack support and it wasn't a very helpful or pleasant experience. Their support operatives had no idea about the TMC service or its existence. They only knew about their Smartnav service and their lost vehicle tracking service and kept asking me for my non existent account number. I was then transferred to another department who provided the same questions and the same cluelessness. The operative dealing with me then put me on hold to speak to her team leader who in turn informed her to tell me that they no longer provide the service and that she had no idea when they had stopped providing it. As usual they advised me to contact my dealer. So this issue is not looking very promising at the moment.
