  1. More than 4 months later that same BMW is still for sale so not very desirable it would seem.

Not sure if you watch SHMEE150 and his car collection but he decided not to PPF his green BMW M8 Competition and after just 4,000km it has many small stone chips on the bonnet, front bumper including the carbon fibre lacquer removed by these small impacts.
  3. Chatting to @penguin17 recently who owned a Superb 280 with the older DSG6 and a couple of months ago swapped for a Golf R estate with the newer DSG7 box and he confirmed what I suspected that the new box is far superior to the 2015 version in not just the speed it changes but it's programming and my 2019 has never changed down unexpectedly only when I wanted extra performance. It will even go uphill at 42mph in 7th gear at 1,200rpm without changing down to 6th gear.
  4. Compact Air Dryer used to dry car bodies.

  6. I've got 235/40R19 on our SEL and still managed 57.9mpg on tonight's commute (manual 1.5TSi).
  7. And Ex-F1 driver Sato won in a Honda ironically.
  8. You must enjoy standing at the petrol pump twice as much I do and paying twice as much for fuel per 1,000km driven. Odd how spending so much on fuel is enjoyable. I prefer to spend my money on laminating my floors.
  9. One of our drivers at work has just spent £21,000 on a 64 plate Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake with a 9 speed auto and 3.0 litre turbo diesel with 300bhp and 650nm (latest model is £64,000 and has 325bhp and 700nm) and rear wheel drive and he can't get the power or the torque down on a dry road even with 285 section rear Michelins. Hence it's slower than my Superb.
  10. Just noticed your 39 green leaves which is very low compared to my 85 so round 2 to me and finally your total range is 544km and my projected range is 1,000km so round 3 to me. At least you have a bigger turbo.
  11. My average speed is much higher than you so you must try harder to drive faster. My average is 70kph yours only 45kph I win this round.🚲
  12. My 2019 Superb has a CD player in the glove box part of the Columbus package........not that I've ever used it as I prefer to listen to Planet Rock on DAB.
  13. Looks lowered with a Superskoda front grill front/rear splitters plus side skirts. Very nice tasteful mods.
  14. Yeah no what you mean high spec 272 Sportline Plus hatch are usually over £40,000 new so incur the extra VED for the first 5-6 years hence I bought a basic one last year that was originally £39,000 but lost £15,000 in just 9 months before I bought it making it a bargain for me and guaranteeing slow depreciation for a few years at least.
  15. I don't normally take a car I'm interested in for a test drive but the Lady at my local garage insisted on me testing the 272 so we went out for a legal speed drive listening for any rattles/problems but the car was as described and fresh from the Skoda Management fleet at Milton Keynes. She did throw in 2 free services to clinch the deal as I was already happy with the part exchange offer on my Octavia and very happy to deal with however is professional and knows the product well enough to answer any questions I may have such as how much was the road tax which was £145 for the Superb.
  16. That looks very remote and not very Superb friendly tarmac.
  17. @MarkyG82 are you still on the hunt for a new motor as the £21,995 Velvet red Superb 272 with VC, Canton and Supernova alloys looks a great deal for someone with low mileage as well on a 19 plate advertised here on Briskoda?
  18. Well anything with the same rear legroom as an S-Class Mercedes is a limo in my book (there are plenty of stretch limo's available for Hen nights and weddings). Just like to thank God for an epic downpour here that has saved me the trouble of cleaning my dirty Black car.
  19. I only put the disc comment in bold as @Kenai pointed out lots of rubbish in the early press releases about why the special edition 245 came with the 19" Xtreme alloys. With the right winter wheel it's probably possible to fit 17" wheels but safer with 18".
  20. I found with Skoda diesels which I ran upto 2015 that if I refuelled with 5 miles left on the maxidot there was normally about 1.5 litres left in the tank giving an actual safe range left to cover at least 15 miles hence so people brave enough can drive a few miles with the maxidot showing zero.
