You should watch the Darkside Developments testing video on You Tube (AKA DSD) and you may change your mind and go for a more reliable and better stage 1 remap instead which would give 185-190bhp on your engine.

Sure it's not the OBD port (Onboard Diagnostics port) where the mechanic checks for faults. Thought OCD was for people who clean there car too much (Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour).

As long as you use a Skoda dealer during the warranty period realistically they should be replaced if faulty upto 60,000 miles and 3 years after first registration. This is just my opinion BTW. Our car had done 18,500 miles and was 21 months old when both key fobs were replaced under warranty FOC saving about £550 including coding the new keys.

Ended up filling the car earlier than I had planned to check how much it weighed. With nothing removed including about 30kg of work stuff and near enough a full tank of fuel (probably 64 litres onboard) @Roscio it came to a wet total of 1,660kg and with me 1,740kg and cost me nothing thanks to my mate Dave for fitting me in between 2 lorries. Could have got it down to 1,630kg easily by removing items which you wouldn't want/need for a trip to say Santa Pod. With a quarter of a tank the weight would probably close to 1,600kg for ultimate performance. Having filled the car at an expensive Shell garage in the end a quick update on the last tank which surprised me for all the right reasons. Sorry to keep upsetting @ColinD with these figures but 535 miles driven using 60.82 litres at 39.99mpg. Overall after 7,306 miles at a cost of £1,058 exactly using 841.11 litres of 99 octane fuel for an overall average of 39.49mpg reflected by the Long Term which dropped slightly to exactly 40mpg.

Weighed my 272 hatch with all my work gear still in the boot plus the heavy duty boot mat from @penguin17 plus the rubber rear centre cover and space saver wheel/tyre and factory toolkit. That fault code refers to exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control circuit open. Commonly the PCM (power control module) has detected no voltage on the EGR. It could be a broken oxygen sensor and needs to be checked at a garage who may charge 100-150 Euro's to replace with new part. If not replaced it can damage the car's catalytic converter.

DLP in Sheffield not too far from you and decent reputation from the Superb Mk3 forum with good gains. I always use Ben at AmD in Grays, Essex but you may not want to travel that far. Also VRS in Northampton have many fans and plenty of You Tube videos with 600BHP Golf R's.

Mine was resonated it was slightly noisier on the motorway and had a nice burble at idle (purposeful) but with the cone air filter (Airtec) and Airtec intercooler upgrade it only gained an extra 34bhp and an extra 50nm of torque and was the best part of £3,000 including the HEL stainless brakelines and DOT5 racing brake fluid. I should have bought a used Superb 280 and spent the money modifying that instead with hindsight and got over 400bhp plus 4WD.

Yeah wish I hadn't not really worth it IMHO cost £600 for a HJS Sports downpipe and £1,200 for the full Milltek stainless cat back system when I went stage 2. Not going to touch the exhaust on the Superb, then again I think they appeal to different age groups so perhaps I was too old for the 245. Everything was standard on the car at 302bhp just better 99 octane fuel which I always use.

Car 2 for me. It's your preferred colour and SEL spec is good and the power tailgate (I have it on my 2019 Superb) is very handy. Mileage is not an issue on any of these cars as they will reach 200,000 miles with regular servicing.

Probably just water condensation that builds up when you park and switch off. If you get someone to start your engine and watch the exhaust tail pipes you will be surprised how much water trickles out from a cold start.

She did whine a bit though and didn't listen to her Daddy and go to rehab.

Try and weigh mine this weekend as a place I have worked are on the same industrial estate and ask for a printout on their weighbridge (think it only calculates to the nearest 10kg) but will have full fuel tank on Friday so will be interesting to compare.

I had the same tyre on my 2019 Superb Sportline Plus hatch until recently and thought they were fairly quiet for a wide, low profile tyre. Replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport which I would say are even noisier but being softer offer more traction off the line and in corners (thank the 4WD). Suppose it's what you are coming from as the Merc C220D probably had 17" or 18" alloys with higher profile tyres. Wife thought my car was very quiet compared to my previous Skoda a Vrs245 on longer trips.

Must be all those extra toys the L & K model comes with as standard. The only option I have is the space saver spare wheel but it's worth it over the useless can of junk most cars come with from the factory. We need someone to make a carbon fibre bonnet.

Yeah guy in an Audi RS3 couldn't overtake me on a motorway slip road recently which probably doesn't happen very often in an Audi RS model.

All DSG are classed as a semi-auto which should be on the V5C logbook from the DVLA when you receive it. It means it has 2 clutches which have the next gear pre-selected for faster gear changes rather than a normal torque converter which works in most traditional automatic gearboxes like the 8 speed ZF automatic in many modern BMW's. Say clutch 1 has gears 1,3,5 and 7 and clutch 2 takes care of gears 2,4 and 6. When you pull away in 1st gear, 2nd gear is already primed by clutch 2 to engage immediately so when I launch my modified Superb (360bhp stage 1) the gear changes are very fast and it is capable of reaching 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds (0-50mph is even more impressive as it needs just one gear change and takes 3.2 seconds).

I switched from a manual Octavia (which I really liked) to the semi-auto DSG Superb and very happy with decision it virtually drives itself on longer trips with the ACC activated.

Welcome to Briskoda are you moving from diesel to petrol because your annual mileage has dropped or just fancied the cheaper fuel, better refinement and no adblue to bother with? Sorry for all the questions just curious as many seem to making the switch particularly in Superbs with many choosing the Hybrid iV option as well.

Superb having a much deserved rest until Friday when I go back to work. Might get some Momentum on Wednesday from the nearest Tesco garage which is 4 miles away but it is so cheap there compared to the more convenient and local Shell garage we can combine a weekly shopping trip and still only use about one litre of fuel at £1.15 rather than £1.32 at Shell.

When we retire in a few years time and don't do the miles that we do now I think the 2.0 litre petrol 190PS Kodiaq Edition will be the only car in the drive to cover all the bases we will need. Holidays and visiting friends and family.

Think the Edition alloys suit the Kodiaq the best IMHO. Not keen on the Sirius as they remind me of my old Mk2 Superb which were a a pain to clean.
