  1. Not keen on two numbers. Starting price is £49,900 and it weighs 2,123kg (500kg heavier than my 360bhp £24,000 Skoda).
  2. Hope the BMW is reliable my next door neighbour bought one also a convertible and eventually sold it because the repair bills cost more than the car but it looked nice when it was working. EV's not my thing and see plenty of Tesla's plodding up and down the motorway but at least your road tax bill will be zero.
  3. They lease or rent them (PCP) and imagine the clean up cost from these redundant power stations. The mind boggles. Better to drill for oil at least it was made from rotting vegetation.
  4. Russians and Japanese remember how clean nuclear power stations can be when it goes wrong. At least the sun doesn't cause cancer so no problem with having a roof stuffed with photo-electro panels.
  5. If it was a McLaren P1 or a La Ferrari I wouldn't be jealous honest, that's why I drive a Skoda because no one expects it to do 160mph.......so quickly. Happy that your leaving the land of oil burners and joining us petrolheads.
  6. It normally does 25mpg upto 5 miles but I was lifting and coasting approaching the numerous roundabouts.
  7. My 2.0 litre petrol has 514nm of torque which is also sufficient I find and no I don't tow a caravan.
  8. I hope EV's are going to be driven better than the Toyota Prius I saw on the M1 yesterday near J21 using the hardshoulder to overtake 3 lanes of busy traffic (no smart motorway section here) during rush hour in the evening. The most dangerous stunt I have witnessed in many years and would have been a driving ban if they had a licence to lose in the first place.
  9. SEE ABOVE. You were too fast before I edited my post by adding the EVIDENCE.👆
  10. I didn't realise God was born in Sweden but thanks for sharing.
  11. Ended up driving 3 miles around the private estate perimeter road tonight before I left work to get this moment for you guys.
  12. My Superb Sportline is not for sale though.
  13. Looks great In Rallye Green (had a 64 plate Vrs TDi hatch also DSG in this colour back in 2015) and suits the Xtreme wheels and a credit to the first owner who clearly cherished it. Top buy and good luck with the new baby and welcome back to Brisky.
  14. So much for the crack they found in his Silverstone chassis. They just need to remove the bigger problem attached to the steering wheel. Qualifying matches FP3 with Lewis taking a close Pole from his team mate (so Lewis now 4 Poles this season to Bottas 2) and Max best of the rest in 3rd. Racing Points fast again in Q3. Hamilton's 92nd Pole Position of his career with his 150th front row start.
  15. 17" Should clear the larger front calipers as I have 340 front and 310 rear ventilated discs as standard on my 2019 Superb.
  16. Of course they even know I painted the brake calipers Skoda Rallye Green. One interesting point which surprised me was when I swapped the wheels over and set the tyre pressures to my choice of 2.5bar allround I didn't need to reset the TPMS as the car was happy with my settings without having to confirm and reset which sometimes happens on our Karoq for example. My average speed has stayed the same for my commute at 43mph BTW regardless of whether running the PS4 or S001.
  17. The lower profile over the standard 40 profile means they are rotatting 3-4% faster so I'm still driving based on the indicated speed on the dashboard rather than relying on GPS timing plus the journey time is still around 37 minutes for my 27.3 mile commute regardless of the tyres fitted and time is time whichever way you look at it.
  18. Lewis top in FP3 with a 1.17:2 then Bottas with 1.17:3 and Max 3rd with a 1.17:7. Wonder whether Kevin in the HAAS will get a penalty for causing Ocon to crash in the Renault towards the end of the session?
  19. Nothing wrong with a black Skoda on Audi wheels as my Mk3 has them also. Welcome to Briskoda to you and the hearse.
  20. Just realised it's been a month since I put the RS6 replica's fitted with the 235/35R19 Michelin Pilot Sport tyres on the Superb and they are giving similar mpg as the factory Bridgestone S001 despite offering even more grip and traction even in the wet. I can't fault these and only a slight increase in motorway tyre noise and I highly recommend anyone thinking of choosing them to go for it. Done 1,300 miles on them so far this summer and current tank over 400 miles just commuting showing 39.5mpg overall with 600+ range indicated.
  21. My Dad bought a 2012 Superb Elegance estate even though he is retired and doesn't cover many miles per year and tows a luxury 2 berth caravan twice a year and he has no problems with his car. In 2018 he paid £8,250 for his 66,000 mile example from the local dealer with the 6 speed DSG and 170PS (168bhp) and having driven it myself it is a very nice combination of power and economy and I got 54mpg. His car is now 8 years old and only 71,000 miles and the road tax is currently £205 per year. Welcome to Briskoda.
  22. Did they call the early Mercedes SL the Pagoda? Still looks nice after all this time.
  23. In April 2016 bought a new Superb SE with the 148bhp ACT 1.4TSi which I did 16,000 miles in 16 months and it was quiet and very good on fuel (upto 800 miles per tank) but lacked any excitement so I bought a Vrs245.
  24. Just for John some black cars with green brake callipers.
  25. Might be tempted to cover it in a Whitesnake wrap to go with the OP's theme song........Here We Go Again.........Slip Of The Tongue on the bonnet.
