Superb MK3 2.0Tdi possibile charge cooler failure
as i said, regens normally happen when the soot level gets to 24g and after the regen has finished, the soot level will drop to 5.5g or thereabouts. are you then getting the soot level rising 1.9g every 5km [ 3 miles ] after the regen ? you also really want to know the ash level in the dpf as well, this will tell you how much life is left in the dpf to see the soot and ash levels without using vcds or obd11, get yourself the vag dpf app and use with your phone, it's more convenient

Superb MK3 2.0Tdi possibile charge cooler failure
are you saying regens are happening with 1.9g of soot, regens normally only happen when the soot level gets to 24g. what is the ash level in the dpf ?

Delivery Delays
just had a look back at previous posts, your car was build week 29 last year and your still waiting 😂 ffs what's going on skoda supposed to be finishing cars that are sitting in fields waiting on parts when the factory starts back on 10th january but even if your car gets finished mid january, it's still 4 /5 weeks to it arrives in the uk, so might as well wait another week for a 22 plate 😄

Delivery Delays
Anyone recently taken delivery of a superb ?, just been given a build week of 09, ordered 12th october 21, originally told 7 months, bog standard sportline hatch 2.0 tdi dsg we shall see what happens there seems to be some movement with other models getting delivered ie octavia's etc, but not sure about superbs only a month or so ago, superb buyers where getting quoted around 12 months for delivery, i wonder if that's still the case

Delivery times?
yes skoda increased prices on 1st december, but price increases and spec changes can be anytime skoda feels like it however the one to watch is the model year change [ normally august] lets say your wifes scala ordered in november2021 is still not built by august 2022, for the new model year, skoda then decides to reduce specs and removes stuff that used to be standard in this years model, if that's the way they now come out of the factory, then thats what your getting

normally contracts say if price is to increase while you are waiting for delivery, they have to give you 2 weeks or so notice, and you can either accept the increase or cancel. model year changes are usually august, so they must have known back then that the price was increasing, looks to me that they waited till the car arrived before telling you because they know that you will pay the extra after waiting so long after waiting so long, i would have just payed the extra as well, but i'd have asked them why they did'nt tell you back in august

Sport suspension vs DCC
dcc for me is too complex and much can go wrong, if you think a standard sportline is still too soft and if you had dcc, you would probably use it mostly in sport , so might as well change what you have to something firmer as cheaper and more reliable.

Car Rejected Activated
if it was me, i'd just sell the car rather than having all the hassle with skoda about rejection used car prices are higher than they have ever been, so you should be able to get good money for it depends obviously what you payed for it, if bought through a broker at big discount and with skoda prices having increased further, plus the lack of new stuff coming through, you should be at least able to break even or maybe make a few ££££, buyers are paying silly money for 2nd hand cars at the moment

Delivery lead-time
if those 15 cars going out before the year end are all ice, then maybe roottoot is correct about vag already having met there co2 targets for the year. think i'd have been digging a bit deeper 😁 seems a bit strange that they want to hold back your car for a month or so, if it's not emissions related, the suspicious side of me is thinking, i wonder if the cars got damaged in transit and they need time to repair 😒

looks good in silver, silver rare on a new car nowadays, compared to 6 or 7 years ago when every 2nd car was silver. curious though, why register a new car on 31 december 2021, when 24 hrs later you can have a 2022 registered car which will be worth more come the time to sell

How long does it take (a mechanic) to replace cam belt and water pump?
the problem with buying the parts yourself is that a lot of mechanics/ garages will not be interested in doing the work, as there's less money to be made from the job. so they will either just add extra on to the labour or put you to the back of the queue when there is plenty work about, why would you work for less than you need to ?

Delivery times?
yes this is my fear, you could wait the biggest part of a year, then be told they are gonna remove say the digital dash, the electric boot , radar cruise etc take it or leave it prices have already increased and will probably increase again, but most people will still get there car at the price they signed for, skoda almost certainly know this , so to avoid making a loss on a car, they might start removing things and use the model year change to do it, it's effectively the same as a price increase
-
Delivery times?
yes i agree they have to give everything ordered, but the problem is, you might not know your going to get the new model year with lower spec [ if skoda does decide to down grade specs for my23 models ] until august next year if you have waited a year or so, that would be the nightmare scenario, so hopefully we all get what we ordered early next year
-
Delivery times?
if parts continue to be in short supply well into next year, and your car still has'nt been built by august next year 😂, it automatically becomes next years model/spec. the model year changes to my23 around week 33 and skoda might use this to downgrade all models, this might allow them to keep the prices from rising again but effectively you get less for your money, a bit like buying a mars bar, the price appears the same as years ago, but there now half the size 😒

Delivery times?
the octavia is a fairly new model and there is normally long waiting times when a new model comes out, and on top of all of that, we have covid 😂 in saying that, the superb has long waiting times and it's not a new model, so it's all a bit off a lottery
-
Delivery times?
sales people are always gonna to be over optimistic, it's the nature of the job if they dont sell they wont last long in the job
-
Delivery times?
realistically, there's not much chance of getting your car by beginning of march, at least not march 22 😂 the factory is all but closed now, officially it's closed until 10th january, but with the covid situation across europe set to increase, you can probably say factory closed the whole of january. that only leaves say 4 weeks till march, even if you where lucky enough to get a build week 1st week in febuary, cars unlikely to arrive at uk dealers 3 weeks after being built. not what you want to hear i know, but if you need a new skoda factory ordered car for the beginning of march, it aint gonna happen

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
are you complaining about other people complaining ? 😁
-
Delivery times?
l'm thinking, that if he was originally quoted 8 weeks for delivery when ordering, that the car must have been already been built or previously ordered
-
Delivery times?
i've always found drivethedeal cheaper than carwow though, did you price your car with other brokers like drive the deal etc
-
Depreciation & one-off issues
i would wait the 2 weeks until 2022, especially as there's no urgency for the new car when you still have your company car, not many cars get registered in december, and there's good reason for that, when you go to sell the car it can be sold as a 2022 registered so will be worth more, unless you intend keeping it for a long time, then it becomes less relevant.

Delivery times?
i wonder if delivery times are more down to dealer allocations, i believe that dealers only get a certain number of each model, if for example skoda has 100 octavia vrs's ready for delivery, they wont give them all to the one dealearship, they usually spread them around all the skoda dealers. it's good that you where given regular updates with your order, i'm guessing that's probably down to the dealer whether to give up dates or not, but maybe carwow tell dealers to keep in touch with buyers, who knows. i've ordered through drivethedeal and have'nt heard anything from them or dealer since ordering.

Delivery times?
Great news Compared with what others are saying on here about delivery times, you have been really lucky, and given that you bought through a broker, and probably got a good discount,, that throws my theory about quick delivery for anyone paying full list price out the window 😀

Delivery times?
there is probably nothing in the same price bracket with the same performance, space etc but it's not just that, if you have waited 9 months+, you might as well hang in there, because cancelling = back to the end of the queue, plus price has increased so unlikely to get the same deal again. 2nd hand is an option but very few about and any available will be way overpriced, they have got you by the short and curlies and there is not much you can do about it 😂
