Tyre Inflators
i'd recommend the twin cylinder inflator from costco, it's quiet and fast unlike most of the cheap ones https://www.costco.co.uk/Tyres-Automotive/Car-Maintenance/Bon-Aire-12V-Air-Inflator-Model-TC12CUK/p/1109618

IV Sportline road noise
i just got the superb yesterday and drove the 400 miles or so up from london, so need a bit more time to compare the 2 cars but my 1st impressions are the 2 cars feel similar, so it really gets down to looks and price. i was going to buy another arteon but the price has now crept up over 40k for an r line diesel which puts it into the £500 a year road tax bracket, and i could'nt get myself to give the government the extra ££££

IV Sportline road noise
i cant comment specifically on the iv, but i had an arteon for 2 years and now have an superb hatch, both on 19 lnch tyres. i would say the noise levels from both cars are the same, it's the road surface that makes the biggest difference, some people might think the vw is better insulated, but i dont think that is the case, as i find noise levels the same in both cars for the same road surface. i would imagine an iv is quieter around town at low speeds when on electric, but tyre noise should be the same on an iv ,petrol or diesel when on the motorway

Windscreen wiper arm removal
use a hammer , block of wood and cold chisel, like below link click on how to remove a wiper arm without a puller https://www.google.com/search?q=wiper+arm+puller&sxsrf=APq-WBuL_YOmv6v0il3hcVz44j_NBM9cag%3A1647170941381&source=hp&ei=fdUtYui9FYqigAaW6JjoDA&iflsig=AHkkrS4AAAAAYi3jjZs5XKP8JOnl0VTb-e9fbvEe8ozW&oq=wiper+arm+pu&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYADIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQ6DAgjECcQnQIQRhCAAjoECCMQJzoLCC4QgAQQsQMQgwE6CwgAEIAEELEDEIMBOg4ILhCABBCxAxDHARCjAjoLCC4QgAQQxwEQowI6CAgAEIAEELEDOgsILhCABBCxAxDUAjoLCC4QgAQQxwEQrwE6CAgAEIAEEMkDOgUIABCSA1AAWI0xYPlDaABwAHgAgAGNA4gBiAqSAQgxMC4xLjAuMZgBAKABAQ&sclient=gws-wiz#kpvalbx=_itUtYoyAK8f4gQad0IjwAg23

Electrical gremlins.
maybe you did'nt cheat enough 😀 adblie systems are generally unreliable, even worse than the other emissions stuff like egr and dpf theres pumps to go wrong, nox sensors that might as well be made out of chocolate and cost an arm & a leg to replace it's no wonder that some people delete the lot and take the operchancity 😄 to remap at the same time for around £200 your euro 6 engine becomes a euro 5 engine and no more problems with adblue 😁

Delivery times?
do you know for sure that it's only microchips that is holding things up ? maybe it needs door panels, which they dont have due to the fire if they dont have door panels both part finished and future builds are never gonna get completed

Delivery Delays
yes, 2 weeks did seem a bit long to have to wait for a pdi, i remember her saying before that it's normally about 3 days for a car to get pdi, however she did get back to me and we have arranged pick up for end of next week, and to be fair to her, if she was under pressure because of too many cars waiting for pdi's or whatever, she did'nt need to tell me my car had arrived with them, as i'd never have known. i've never pushed them for any info about when i would get my car, but they have always kept me informed .

Delivery Delays
i got a call today, my car has arrived at dealers this morning, it's now waiting for a pdi, she said it wont be done this week but probably next week, then she gave me the usual bull$hit about they are really busy, they just got a large delivery of new cars all waiting for pdi, but i will put you at the top of the list 😀😀😀 so not ready to collect for almost another 2 weeks. but i cant complain, ordered mid october 21, so 5 month wait is fairly quick

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
dealers who supply carwow will be selling more cars, all be at a lower profit per car but if they stack them high and sell em cheap, plus there bonuses from skoda for selling lots of cars it must work for them, otherwise they'd be sticking to selling just a few cars per week at near full retail to local customers.

Upgraded engine mount Sportline 2.0 Diesel
has your car had the timing belt done ? if it's a tdi, the engine mount gets removed to do the belt, not sure about the tsi engine though, check it's been tightened back up properly

Anyone dead set on Sportline estate, but then changed to an L&K and glad you did ?
the question your asking is difficult for any one who went for an l&k over a sportline to answer, because they dont have a sportline to compare it too 😀 reading your post , it looks like it's the sporty look you want, if your spending the kind of money needed to get into a superb, what's an extra £20 if your hearts set on a sportline, best to get a sportline, or that's exactly what you'll be saying to yourself afterwards 'what if'
-
Delivery times?
i think you ordered at the worst time, a time when parts shortages where at there worst, if you had ordered later, you would probably have the car by now. and maybe you have been unlucky a 2nd time, with the fire causing more shortages

Failed mot leaking rear shocks.
some garages have been known to spray the shocker with wd40 etc then have you believe that it's leaking 😑 they'll then tell you better to replace as a pair, so one spray = plenty ££££ for them bit late this time, but in the future, take your car to the local council mot place where they dont do repairs, so no incentive for them to fail the car

Delivery Delays
just got an email saying my car is built and has left the factory 😀 was supposed to be build week 9 but i'm not complaining 😁 ordered 2nd week october 21, so probably gonna be about 5 months from ordering to collection, allowing for 4/5 weeks shipping to uk maybe because the car is pretty much bog standard with no extras and in a popular colour has speed things, who knows

Delivery Delays
yes i believe it's only the octavia that's effected did your car get completed this week ?
- Memory module for Start-Stop button
-
Delivery Delays
that's a sore one, it's not a fair tax, and with prices rising, it should have been increased to at least £45k by now or better still scraped
-
Delivery Delays
good to hear your dealer has had a re-think and agreed to hold the car for a few weeks to allow you the new 22 plate makes sense for good customer service
- Memory module for Start-Stop button
-
2nd hand prices
if you where a gambling man, you should have bought a dozen or so cars instead of just one, say 2 kamiq's 2 octavia's 2 superb's 2 rapid's etc you'd need to deduct around £2k per car from what dealers are selling them for, but there should still be some profit to be made. dealers are taking the pi$$ with there prices at the moment, they are getting away with it because punters are paying it
-
Delivery Delays
Brilliant, hopefully things are getting back to near normal. A phone call to your broker/dealer end of next week to confirm cars been completed and if it has, should be with you middle of next month perfect for the new 22 plate

Help, Anyone know much about rejecting finance faulty cars please?
not sure how rejecting a car works when car nearly a year old, do they give you a full refund or do they say, you have had a years usage so we'll have to deduct xxx amount of £££ if you dont get you a full refund, you might as well sell the car yourself and save the hassle
-
Help, Anyone know much about rejecting finance faulty cars please?
after nearly a year it might be difficult to reject However used cars are making top dollar at the moment so rather than having the hassle of dealing with skoda, might be better to just sell the car

Switchable Water Pump
new water pumps are supposed to have been modified, that to me is like admitting there's a problem without actually saying it 😒 i think they call it continuous improvement 😃 at least when they fail it is not a catastrophic failure when the time comes to replace , i dont know if after market is the way to go, or cut the shroud off an OEM pump i just cant make my mind up on the best way to go about it, but no decision needed for another 2 years or so, unless it fails before then 😂 ps i've heard gates pumps are now made in china, i dont know if that's likely to be a problem or not as OEM pumps might also be made in china.
