  1. I would be questioning that. It's highly unlikely to be there for longer than a couple of weeks, especially if it's going to Grimsby or Sheerness.
  2. When I was a lad.......they used to call those things "Wheel trims". They were bought by teenagers like me who couldn't afford alloys. Now they are putting them on a £40k car. Madness.
  3. Yep, not the most intuitive descriptions are they?
  4. I have lot's of doubts! Unless they can get "true" range to at least 350 miles I will be staying with fossil fuel.
  5. Yep this works perfectly. Just disable the two options and Predictive ACC becomes ACC. Job done.
  6. Two things on the "assistance" screen under ACC. Signs and layout or something. I've unticked them and will let you know if it works. Could be that it's picking up info from the map too. Is it possible to disable the Sat-Nav? Never use it anyway.
  7. I think you can switch it off (the sign recognition function). It does annoy me too sometimes.
  8. Thank goodness I got my SEL just in time. Hate leather seats!
  9. This has happened to me with my new Kodiaq on 3 or 4 times over the last couple of weeks. Seems more sensitive now. Wish it could be disabled.
  10. I had the same car for over 2 years and can confirm I had the kangaroo effect a grand total of never. It's a cracking engine/gearbox combination. Don't worry about it and enjoy your new car.
  11. Of course- it's cheaper. As is no doubt the "virtual cockpit" compared to analogue dials, but we digress. Back on topic I tested the matrix lights. The short version is "turn them onto automatic and enjoy the best lights you are likely to have had on any car". They work perfectly (I assume- I didn't get flashed once, but was expecting it every time) In terms of the "cornering" function on the old lights - forget it. It pales into insignificance compared to these new lights. I will be honest, I didn't read too much into these lights when ordering my car. I am pleasantly surprised.
  12. On the basis that the manual is total garbage, in practice what does this mean? - We should leave lights selected to auto - Use high beam when needed and it will auto dip ?
  13. There is an option, but it is hidden. You have to go back into the "Configuration Wizard" and select 24 hour from there. Why on earth they did this when it used to be very simple and under the "Time" settings is, frankly, ridiculous.
  14. Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if it's possible for the Admunsen to be set to 24 hour mode? I can't believe there isn't an option for it but can't see it anywhere.
  15. My point is that it's automatic now. Anyway I haven't had to do it yet, so can't really comment on whether it can be disabled or not.
  16. They light up the road very well. I don't think I'll bother with the "auto dip" thing, as I just manually dip out of habit and have done for 35 years.
  17. The "feel" of the materials is worse imo. e.g. the door handles inside are of a poorer quality plastic.
  18. Having received my new car (I won in the production lottery), I'm not sure the quality is as good as my previous Kodiaq. I was expecting the lack of carpet in the glovebox, the removal of the door safety lights etc, but the overall "feeling" is of lower quality inside the cabin. Could be my imagination....
  19. 2 years with previous Kodiaq. Only issue was the stop/start didn't work from day 1. As I would have ticked this as an option if allowed I wasn't overly unhappy!
  20. Just installed it today. 👍 Great tip, speaker cloth is brilliant. Tacky enough to stick, yet allow a few re-adjustments.
  21. There definitely seems to have been a push on Kodiaq production over the last few weeks (and set for 2022). I appreciate those still waiting for build dates may hold a different view, but at least it seems to be going in the right direction. Better than the alternative.
  22. This isn't quite true. I ordered early July and car is now with dealer. I just think it's a bit of a lottery.
  23. probably superglue mine when I get the car
