  1. I think you won't regret the color choice. Topic about the boot covers:
  2. So I did some more driving today. It was easy driving all the way on B roads between 40 and 50 mph in normal mode. Ambient temperature was around 4-5°C and the oil temperature was always between 98 and 103°C. Should I be worried?
  3. Does anyone know what is this hole for? Is it a went for cold air intake when you switch on the cooling for the glove box?
  4. This one is lowered with Eibach springs and has front spacers 10 mm per wheel and back spacers 15 mm per wheel.
  5. Ohh ok. Sorry, I thought I saw 1668 in one of your posts.
  6. According to my current information devices ending with letters A, B and C have SW version 16xx where being 1688 the latest one. And devices from D onward having SW version 17xx where being 1788 the latest one. @neonplanet40 I'm pretty sure you can update your car at least up to 1688 version.
  7. I got my car 2 months ago but I'm still doing the same as you.
  8. Thanks for the tips. Oil was changed 400 miles ago. But I will anyway check the level again. You are correct about the ambient temperatures. Didn't think about that. Mine was around 12°C and my friend's was only a few degrees above freezing. Next time I will also give more attention to how much temperature drops after such driving. But if I'm not mistaken, it's always in high 90's, even when driving easy. Will report back.
  9. Hi all, I'm noticing oil temperatures around 105 and 110 °C when driving slightly more dynamic. For example on highway at around 100-105 mph or when pushing it on normal roads for a few minutes. Not sure there are even high or not. For example a friend of mine said he is getting temperature only around 95 °C when pushing it on the highway. What temperatures are you guys getting?
  10. With DCC and in comfort mode ride is very pleasant. Road noise depends a lot on tires you have. I have 18 inch winter tires and in my opinion road noise is quite low.
  11. If you already have VIN, you can check on https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do Although it's 7 EUR per 1 h. But you can also download workshop manuals for the new Octavia.
  12. I think you should be fine in you rotate them once a month like cheezemonkhai said.
  13. @CDPIOW looks like they have a new model on superskoda. And as stated on the website, it fits all Octavia mk4 Estate models. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-IV/Octavia-IV-Combi-original-Skoda-rear-bumper-protective-panel-GLOSSY-BLACK
  14. Did you guys also noticed a lot of water is being held there? On top of the bumper?
  15. Hmm...same happened to me. My emblem is moving slightly too. But I ordered the one listed under mk4 Octavia on superskoda. I will remove it completely in the following days and I'll compare ii against original one.
  16. You can find some options here. Some are suitable also for the RS version. But are a bit more expensive. https://www.skoda-tuning.com/fahrzeugmodelle/octavia/Octavia-4/ Would be interesting to know why some are not suitable for RS. From the pictures, rear bumper looks the same. I have a PPF on that part of the bumper. Since this plastic protector stands out a bit too much for me personally.
  17. Makes sense now. English is not my native language. So thank you for correcting me.
  18. I must correct myself. In the front there is a normal smooth plastic in the wheel wells. And at the back it's a hard carpet like material.
  19. I think @Kenfold is talking about the outside wheel wells. Not the one for spare wheel. And yes, they are carpet like. Not sure the exact material is, but it's certainly not plastic.
  20. Thanks for the tip about holding the button. I'll try that next time.
  21. Yes, I know. I understand your frustration.
  22. But how much do you really need fog lights? My previous car didn't have them. And in 13 years of owning it I have never missed the fog lights.
  23. I don't have any such issues. SW version 1788.
