  1. About time! Was disappointed that you weren't there last year.
  2. Always keep a golf club near your bathroom door, Mike. Be prepared...
  3. I believe its the 27th of May this year!
  4. You know those Crimewatch videofits...?
  5. Yesterday, I drove to a different Tesco (slightly exhilarating) to buy bubblewrap. That's it...
  6. Will I be seeing your vRS at the Skoda Owner's Club 'Skodafest' this year? Hoping to be there in my Mk1 again, with the rear electric windows fitted as well.
  7. Originally for the fire extinguisher that could be had as an option, yes. I use mine for a spare bottle of 5w/40.
  8. That's well tidy. Bonus points from me for the Scottish registration. Nice to see one in good hands.
  9. "Jack, whit did ye pack cheese fur?" "Ah like cheese!" (Jack and Victor, Still Game)
  10. I don't see quite as many Mk1 Fabias as I did in the south west of Scotland. However, there's even less chance of seeing one the same colour! Perfect when I'm out with my one as well. It's also an Ambiente in Flamenco Red, but I'm jealous that it's a 1.4 16v (bonus terrible twin exhaust cut into the bumper there too). Looked a bit rough in all honesty. However, it's another one!!
  11. Wish it were whisky! It's Irn Bru actually, decided not to drink this evening as I'm away on holiday next week and will most likely (definitely) be drinking then...
  12. Cooking for one, since everybody else has buggered off on holiday... Bonus Highland coos for @Lady Elanore and @olduns
  13. Yarrrr thar do be a pass, matey. Handbrake was also knackered, so got new cables put on as they'd stretched something awful. Not as expensive as last year but not cheap. Oh well. Next month I'm looking at getting these doors done so the rear electric windows are finished.
  14. As always, this cursed car fought me every single step of the way. In the end, it was passed on to a recovery specialist who removed the car and stored it for a little bit before selling it to restorer... Who promptly scrapped it. Shock horror (he says sarcastically). I guess this means the curse has been lifted, right?!
  15. Mechanic is confident he can have it sorted for not too much, so keep it until the test runs out again. If it had been a bit more terminal I'd have went and bought myself another.
  16. MOT for this one tomorrow. I know it's going to fail (handbrake, exhaust), but it's a matter of whatever else is found. Follow this space, or something.
  17. Missed 87k on the Fabia, and maybe 32k on the Vectra. However, I want to capture 88,888 on the Fab, and 33,333 on the Vectra.
  18. Mine isn't in a good way. However, it's stood for 14 years now with minimal maintenance/repairs. I'll rebuild the three affected sections with fresh wood and work from there. At the moment, I've got it bodged together, being propped up by wood and held together with pound shop cable ties.
  19. Was really bad last night and again today. In the gaps of rain and gales, I've had to rebuild a section of garden fence that has fallen to pieces. Cable ties to the rescue!
  20. Yes. It can be coded using VCDS. There are a few threads on here covering it, in case you want to do it yourself. I've got it on mine, and it's a nice feature.
