  1. Ok. I have this obd module https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGB4873 And a pro license for carscanner (£8) Set the mqb profile and connect. Bonnet has to be open and ignition on. Engine off. Select coding and service Then luggage compartment Then scroll to the bottom and choose tailgate dataset customisation Then click on choose other and select one of the superbliftback ones. Then set the parameters you want and choose apply. (The open/close from remote should be selected) You may need different settings if you have kessy or virtual pedal. I have seen on another page that you have to hard reset through the long coding options for it to apply but it worked fine for me without this. I have also noticed this evening that when you go back in to it it reverts to default rather than showing you your current settings.
  2. Not proper fog to warrant putting them on!
  3. I’ll plug in a bit later and take some screenshots.
  4. Managed to successfully code for boot closing from the interior button and on the key using CarScanner app.
  5. if you have the menu mentioned above to save seat settings to the key, turn this off. This way the seat should stay where you have set it. If you move the seat and return it to the saved position, you will have to manually move it the last 1cm. But otherwise, between going in and out of the car, it should stay where you have set it, but only if it is NOT linked to the key. This is because every time you unlock with the key it moves to the saved position, doesnt like the extreme setting so moves 1cm away from your desired position. If you disconnect it from the key, it doesnt try to reset its position every time you unlock the car.
  6. Ha ha, 99% of the time I am in the car on my own so not really required. Might be nice to look at doing once the kids are out of child seats.
  7. Not a clue, but its likely to be sensor if OBD11 says it is. You could try swapping the front left sensor for the front right sensor and see if the error moves with it. If it does, then its definitely the sensor. The sensors are relatively easy to replace.
  8. Yes, under the steering column on the right, you have to remove the storage compartment. On a RHD car that is. LHD is similar location but attached to the fuse box.
  9. Repaired the rear vent sliders today using parts from AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ez54g1O Slightly more brushed than bright chrome surround but they don’t look too out of place and work well. You have to fully dismantle the unit to be able to slot everything in. All done in about 10 minutes.

  11. That splitter is nice. Where is it from? Mine is pre-FL but I like the look of the maxton type splitters. How would the rs4 wheels look on the new bus?
  12. Also to mention on here, I have now solved the DAB issue. I reconnected the OEM aerial and found that when my phone was charging, the DAB didnt work, but with it disconnected, it did work. Traced the issue to the cheap USB adaptors from AliExpress. Replaced them both with these from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BS3TPC6B DAB now working fully. They are not quite as low profile as the previous ones but the rear ashtray and the front sliding cover still just about close without issue.
  13. Auxito LED reversing and indicator bulbs now installed. Much brighter and clearer. Another simple but effective upgrade. Difficult to photograph but hopefully the difference is visible. It certainly is in person.

  15. for mats I got some from Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FP5WPKVL They are pretty decent for the price. On the website that @Gammylegrecommended you can choose more customisation and quality levels. I’ve bought some from there for a previous car and they are good too.
  16. You can also do simple and long coding and service functions. Not found anything yet that I’ve wanted/needed to do that this can’t do. For £8 for the pro version of the app and £22 for the module it’s a tenth of the price of vcds.
  17. I use carscanner app and this reader which works well for reading and clearing all codes on my Superb. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGB4873?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Make sure the battery is well Charged. Low voltage can give all Sorts of errors. If not it may be that there is a sensor failed. Using the code reader would tell you which.
  18. Yeah. I changed these as I prefer the whiter colour. Coded to be on with high beam and when you flash high beam. Corner light should be an issue as they are aimed correctly and not hugely brighter. will get them checked at next service anyway for aim. I agree. Really don’t get the point of them on when reversing?!
  19. You might not have driving profiles. Have a look at: Car Setup Seats Vehicle key activated It’s a known “feature” that the seats don’t like being saved at the top or bottom end of extremes of settings. If you can store and recall memories then it’s not a software issue with the memory module.
  20. I prefer the look of the white lights than the yellower ones. I’ve coded them to be on with full beam only. And they come on for corner lights. Throw out a nice spread of white light. Shouldn’t annoy or dazzle anyone.
  21. No that’s what I thought. Hence the £7 white only LEDs!
  22. White isn’t so good for fog. You can get ones that switch between white and yellow so you get best of both worlds but they’re much more expensive. Might be a future upgrade if I find the white to be problematic for the few foggy days we have. https://autobeam.co.uk/collections/switchback-fog/products/led-h8-switchback-fog-unit
  23. Not sure as I don’t have it. @tombee ?
  24. Turn off personalisation so it’s not saved to the key. It doesn’t like being at the extreme of adjustment so moves every time it repositions when you unlock with the key. @tombee had the opposite problem as he likes it all the way down.
