  1. Repaired the rear vent sliders today using parts from AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ez54g1O Slightly more brushed than bright chrome surround but they don’t look too out of place and work well. You have to fully dismantle the unit to be able to slot everything in. All done in about 10 minutes.
  2. That splitter is nice. Where is it from? Mine is pre-FL but I like the look of the maxton type splitters. How would the rs4 wheels look on the new bus?
  3. Also to mention on here, I have now solved the DAB issue. I reconnected the OEM aerial and found that when my phone was charging, the DAB didnt work, but with it disconnected, it did work. Traced the issue to the cheap USB adaptors from AliExpress. Replaced them both with these from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BS3TPC6B DAB now working fully. They are not quite as low profile as the previous ones but the rear ashtray and the front sliding cover still just about close without issue.
  4. Auxito LED reversing and indicator bulbs now installed. Much brighter and clearer. Another simple but effective upgrade. Difficult to photograph but hopefully the difference is visible. It certainly is in person.
  5. Installed Auxito LED reversing and indicator bulbs this evening. Much brighter and clearer. Another simple but effective upgrade. Difficult to photograph but hopefully the difference is visible. It certainly is in person.
  6. for mats I got some from Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FP5WPKVL They are pretty decent for the price. On the website that @Gammylegrecommended you can choose more customisation and quality levels. I’ve bought some from there for a previous car and they are good too.
  7. You can also do simple and long coding and service functions. Not found anything yet that I’ve wanted/needed to do that this can’t do. For £8 for the pro version of the app and £22 for the module it’s a tenth of the price of vcds.
  8. I use carscanner app and this reader which works well for reading and clearing all codes on my Superb. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGB4873?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Make sure the battery is well Charged. Low voltage can give all Sorts of errors. If not it may be that there is a sensor failed. Using the code reader would tell you which.
  9. Yeah. I changed these as I prefer the whiter colour. Coded to be on with high beam and when you flash high beam. Corner light should be an issue as they are aimed correctly and not hugely brighter. will get them checked at next service anyway for aim. I agree. Really don’t get the point of them on when reversing?!
  10. You might not have driving profiles. Have a look at: Car Setup Seats Vehicle key activated It’s a known “feature” that the seats don’t like being saved at the top or bottom end of extremes of settings. If you can store and recall memories then it’s not a software issue with the memory module.
  11. I prefer the look of the white lights than the yellower ones. I’ve coded them to be on with full beam only. And they come on for corner lights. Throw out a nice spread of white light. Shouldn’t annoy or dazzle anyone.
  12. No that’s what I thought. Hence the £7 white only LEDs!
  13. White isn’t so good for fog. You can get ones that switch between white and yellow so you get best of both worlds but they’re much more expensive. Might be a future upgrade if I find the white to be problematic for the few foggy days we have. https://autobeam.co.uk/collections/switchback-fog/products/led-h8-switchback-fog-unit
  14. Not sure as I don’t have it. @tombee ?
  15. Turn off personalisation so it’s not saved to the key. It doesn’t like being at the extreme of adjustment so moves every time it repositions when you unlock with the key. @tombee had the opposite problem as he likes it all the way down.
  16. Fitted the LED fog lights today. Nice easy install and a much better colour.
  17. slightly regretting not saving up a bit more and getting a high spec petrol particularly to do some of the performance (and exhaust note) modifications, but then I look at the MPG and the fact it accelerates plenty fast enough for me and im a bit more content
  18. They are all the same fitment. "The primary differences are wattage and brightness: H8 is 35W (fog lights), H11 is 55W (low beams), and H9 is 65W (high beams)" according to google.
  19. very white bulbs arent as good as fog lights compared to the more yellow colour. I have got some before pictures I took last night, will get some more with the new bulbs tonight.
  20. I just went for cheap bulbs from AliExpress. https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExCMD4y Fitting is easy. Remove adjacent trim, undo two torx screw then whole unit comes out. Undo plug and twist out bulb. Then the reverse to install.
  21. fitted the LED fog light bulbs this morning. No errors or flickers. Really pleased with the look. Will take some pics in the dark tonight Can you guess which one has been changed so far?
  22. awesome. It suddenly occurred to me this morning that if you had personalisation, everytime you unlock the car it automatically moves the seat to your settings. If it doesn’t like the extreme it means it’s moving that 1cm away from what you want. Without personalisation it doesn’t try to move each time so therefore stays in your position. If you wife does then program her own setting onto position 2 you will just have to push 1 for your setting and then the 1cm extra. But it should then stay at that until she uses it again.
  23. I had a thought on this, this morning. Have you got the setting saved to the key? I wonder if you save the position on the button, but don't link it to the key, whether it will stay where you want it to be, because everytime you unlock with the key it is repositioning. And then on the occassion your wife drives it, if she pushes the memory button for her setting with the door open before getting in, it will move to her position with one press. When you go to get in after, do the same, and you may need to push the button for that last 1cm that time, but for the majority of the time if its just you driving it stays where you want it to be.
