  1. Ah sorry i thought it was an offical skoda TPI, its not, now im with you
  2. As long as the tread wear is even across the entire tyre, you have nothing to worry about, just a worn out tyre
  3. Never heard of TOAD. What is it you actually want to be able to do with the diagnostics? Then we can tell you whats fit for your purpose.
  4. What was the fault in the end that caused this issue?
  5. For anyone wondering where the door contact switch is. It is built into the latch so needs an entire latch unit if this is determined to be the fault
  6. Where did you get the jacking pads
  7. This is interesting, any idea what gets replaced at this cost? Cause I don’t think it’s the amplifier as this costs around £1000
  8. Air conditioning should operate at all temperatures! It is not a 'air cooling' system like people assume it is, it conditions the air, dries it, cools it and deoderises it. There is no lower temperature limit. That being said, the air conditioning is only as efficent as its ability to expel the heat through the condensor. If the outside air temperature is very cold it will struggle as there is a lower temperature gradient.
  9. Damn that’s a stretch, or a really poorly installed camera, they only go to the fuse box and infotainment control unit, not the body control unit
  10. Sounds very much like you have a bad Earth somewhere.
  11. All bixenons have the afs/slight cornering feature already so basically all you’ve done is swapped like for like. there are 3 headlamp variants on superb - Halogen and bulbs - Bi xenon with afs/Cornering - Bi xenon with SLA
  12. 3VD941016A Is not a SLA headlamp, it is all detailed in the previous pages. Needs to end with B! and you can’t just fit 1 headlight to upgrade, needs to be the pair also it can’t be done with VCDS alone, you need odis or vcp to upload dataset as vcds can’t do this. and an older version of vcds can’t be used as it can’t read the 5B module
  13. Might be the case that aftermarket is better yeah, but I much prefer oem+ modifications and retrofits. Looks cleaner and is already perfectly tuned. For the price I’ve got the bits for too, you ain’t gonna get Anything better
  14. For anyone that may of been interested. By having the canton sound system it adds around 130 meters of wiring to the interior wiring loom. When the last of the parts turn up I can let you know the total weight of having a canton sound system.
  15. Aha, FREEDOM is the forum rank but I’m assuming it was meant for me if you drop me a private message with a photo of the vin number either from the drivers b pillar or windscreen I will retrieve the data for you and pm it back to you. I ask for a photo to avoid any issues with retrieving the wrong vehicles and also from other peoples cars.
  16. So you ordered the car expecting a 71 plate and you are ending up with a 71 plate, now because you want to move the goal post the dealer is unreasonable? normally I wouldn’t side with the dealer but in this situation I am
  17. But how long were you expecting to wait originally..?
  18. All working, here’s the photos for anyone else interested in specific fitting locations. Turns out I fitted the old one completely wrong
  19. The joys of electric power steering, electronic stability control and power regulated differential ‘locking’ called XDS it’s brilliant aint it!
  20. Run me through how youve checked for a battery drain and when working with drains youre gonna need to supply specific numbers as they are so small a few milliamps can make all the difference.
  21. Its not a sympathy thing, just facts sorry. And its not down to the finance agreement to decide that, its the DVSA. I think youll have to look into who actually owns the vehicle sorry, a V5 in your name clearly states at the top 'this document is not proof of ownership' so sorry to say but when you purchase a car on finance/lease you dont own the car fully until its completely paid off then the car legally belongs to you, up until that point that is why you have to notify the finance company of any modifications prior to doing them and any accidents. What was the estimated arrival time for your car originally? What if your car turned up in december, would you ask them to hold onto it without registering for 3 months? what about october, 5 months? Where do they or you draw the line? A little info for you on V5 registered keeper/proof of ownership https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/ask-the-police/question/Q743 sadly its down to the fine print, as the lease company paid for the car its theirs, you sign a contract with them to pay a set amount back then at the end of it they will transfer that ownership to you, or they will take the car back.
  22. Sounds fair in my opinion. Seen as you are using a finance option the car is technically not yours meaning the finance company will want it registered ASAP, they are giving you a courtesy to let you pick the plate but in all fairness they are welcome to pick it, register it and give the car to you. As well as that a new and paid for car has to be registered within a set time scale on delivery and they arent going to hold onto so many peoples cars for a month just for the 22 plate to roll around.
  23. CHHB which is the 220 tsi uses direct and manifold injection
  24. Ive sent you an email with your service history as it contains personal data so wont post here.
  25. Forget the regarding lights bit. What did you change, in detail. Else we won’t be able to help
