Does anyone have an Octavia IV hybrid yet?
I have mine, ordered 22nd June 21 received 21st Jan 2022, its a nice car, annoying features it has, quite quick, great for tax for company users hence why I chose the Oct IV

2021 Octavia VRS iv driving mode default (please explain)
I feel that it slows you down too much when coming behind a car, the distance is set to the least as well, maybe i am stubborn but i dont need something telling me how to drive. Normal cruise is much better. Only time i like it is in road works, set to 55 and let car infront determine the speed, however the distance is too far again and when another car goes in the gap it puts the brakes on to slow you down. its like its too safe, but only safe for you the driver of the car, i would hate to be the car behind with brake lights always going on etc.

2021 Octavia VRS iv driving mode default (please explain)
Can't agree with you more, I have the IV as well and its like you have to set it up every time, Press mode, change to Hybrid and untick the tick box, then turn lane assist off, annoying as hell, dont get me started on Adaptive Cruise either as that's ****e. Mines a company car so I aint really bothered about MPG, so I just use it in engine mode - cheapest estate for tax with out going EV , I couldn't do my job with an EV as there would be too much time wasted charging.

Fuel tank capacity?
How do you vent it? I fill it to the brim when on long journeys, only when I am departing

Goodbye Skoda and thanks for twenty years of happy motoring: Toyota here we come!
The OP is most welcome to make what ever decision he needs to do, I find it weird going from a Vag car to a Toyota, my guess is budget is the main reason, I looked at Toyotas when I was choosing my Company car, I took the Corolla Estate Hybrid for a 15 min test drive, that's all it took to turn it around and say no, it was slow, very very slow (compared to the Octy IV Hybrid, interior was basic and well Japanese. However good luck the OP as I get his pain with faults with the Skoda and cant blame him for moving on, I would of went BWM personally or Tesla (we have model Y and love it)

My Skoda app missing doors and lights
The app is the worst ever, free for one year... that annoys me as it works 50/50 % of the time and they want you to pay £36 for it, the Tesla app is free and far superior, I aint tight as we have a Model Y and a Skoda Octy iv hybrid and would happily pay £36 for the app if it was as good as the Tesla app. I paid for another year and then after 3 weeks asked for a refund and received it.

Estate vrs petrol iv mpg
Yeah that's what I would do tbh, plus the None Hybrid VRS sits lower and looks really nice, My IV is nice, great to drive, very good at overtaking, needs lowering if it were my car but its a company car. MPG I aint really bothered about hence I cant answer the question 100% on what MPG does it do in the real world

Tested and working coding Octavia mk4
Any one know if you can code out the Adaptive Cruise control? And just add the normal cruise? Lane assist to be turned off and as i have a hybrid to always start up in hybrid mode and not electric? what do i need to do this or can anyone help In the Durham Newcastle area?

Estate vrs petrol iv mpg
I have the iv hybrid not the vrs, as a company car, now i dont use it how maybe you should, i.e keep the battery topped up and use hybrid mode all the time. When i do trips to edinburgh i will get 60 mpg when using the hybrid system and 45 when not. I dont hang around, so not an economy driver. Personally if it was down to me i would just get the full petrol version as its lighter and should offer better mpg - i think. For me it was all about tax, vrs was lot higher on the bik etc

Octavia Mk iv trip meter
Still rubbish tho, the long term one resets all the time, I would of wanted the data collected from the start 0000 miles ... What is also annoying is if you have the Hybrid you cant see how many battery miles you have done, just the total where as the Audi system allows you to see battery, engine and combined

Hybrid versus petrol and diesel: a comparison of real-life fuel consumption
Is there any way you can see how many miles you have done on petrol and then electric? I.e. 1000 miles on petrol and 50 miles on electric? I cant see it in any menus, my A3 Hybrid had it showing in the mileage menu...

Hybrid versus petrol and diesel: a comparison of real-life fuel consumption
In the IV can you see how many miles you have done on Electric then Petrol? As in separate figures?

Drive Modes
Its the same in my Hybrid, all ways defaults to Battery mode, so frustrating. You should be able to program 'your car' the way you want.

At long last... SW Version 1896
Had my car in for service, i asked them to update the software, they said they did but when i look its not on 1896, is there a download where i can do this? Cant be bothered (or i should say i dont have the time ) to take it back in as they had it for a 3 days fixing a head unit issue and ACC issues - these have been fixed.
-
Adaptive Cruise Control bug
Have to agree with most people the ACC is un useable, am sure it thinks its a left hand drive car.. Is there meant to be a major update? Mines a company car and dont have the time to take it in for checks etc, i will just log it when the service is due. 6 k miles in 10 weeks so wont be long

iV will not shift to e-drive
So the reason it does this, you have just started the engine from cold by flooring it on to the motorway, the engine was cold and now its running a heat cycle, getting it warm, etc etc. mine does the same however if your gentle and ease on the motorway you will use ev mode all the way.
