I've had to do this too, for caliper bleed nipples. Squirt on thread when I left for work, squirt when home, for a week. They came out in the end. One squirt isn't always enough!

I've never changed hoses on a car for braided, but on my motorbikes, it makes a big difference. Might actually do it on the car this time!

Sounds like the right choice, my brother's just spent about £1800 on an Audi gearbox repair. You certainly wouldn't want that straight away and even if it had a warranty, I'd be nervous of them covering it. They always try to wiggle out of it. And I'd gamble on the gearbox worn rather than alignment, smashing 3rd to 4th is fun and it's probably been done a lot in that type of car!

Rip all CDs to an SD card. Can't see why you wouldn't, no need to carry CDs, no need to change CDs, no need to get a CD player.

Good idea, I don't use it enough it annoys me, to take it apart.

My USB connection at the car end is dodgy in mine. If I connect, then just touch it, it drops, every time. Tried a few diff cables, all do the same. Guess the USB port is a bit loose.

Haha, I like the sound generator, makes me laugh. Hardly use sport mode anyway, so isn't annoying to hear.

Oh, don't have that. Had it in an Audi I had once. I just have the vrs button, which eco, normal, sport.

What's DCC? Glad you like it, they are great cars. Still enjoy mine 1 year later. Don't know on speakers, guess I'm lucky I found one with the Canton system, if the standards are not great.
