Agreed. I believe that atleast from june or august most of the cars were just delayd. Cars waiting for parts were slighty prioritized and order late summer were just on hold. I ordered my car early august and it got a build week update last week, which is week 6.

Launch control makes some sense in the petrol RS since it has a real front locking diff called VAQ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fxKCpsnmdQ It should lock the front wheels when doing a launch. I makes less sense in other (diesel/phev) RS models since they have "normal" front diff with no lock. I believe XDS+ only limits the rotation of slipping wheel, which kind of loses power.

I think electric brakes are awesome. On Mk7.5 golf it works as it should. For some reason in Octavia its not so easily letting go.

Congrats! I've ordered on august and kept the Canton. According to dealer its going to production on week 6 with canton. It's possible but may cause delays.

Not perhaps specific to Octavia, but since i need a well suitable dashcam i'll try here. What dashcams people suggest to use in Octavia 4? Since there is an USB-C socket, i'd like some suggestions on what would fit nice and have simple use? I dont want anything fancy. Just something with wide view and easy to use.

Does it make noise on Normal mode?

What do you mean by cruise mode? Engine off or ACT? Electric engine does not move the car without the ICE. ps. not related to delivery times.

Its not all about the size. Mk7.5 Golf has 5.25" subwoofer in the trunk. Its much punchier than what Octavia has, even if its the same size. I'm glad that even in hybrid models they still managed to squeeze the subwoofer in. Earlier models could no have better audio since batteries etc take too much space. For most of our needs. perhaps a 6.5" sub would be nice on the side of trunk. Bigger ones could easily start to make no sense in Octavia
