  1. As mentioned above, if TSR wasn't factory spec then somebody has to pay for it at some point. It's not a scam, just cost cutting by whoever ordered the car
  2. You're about 15 years too late to enjoy a holiday in Bridlington 😂. The place isn't what it once was
  3. We'd need the car for 3-4 hours, we don't yet have a waiting room whilst we wait for our premises to be completed. We're around a 25 minute walk from the town centre
  4. Once updated you'll be missing a feature enablement code for predictive navigation functionality, which would break your navigation, PACC and TSR (if equipped). This is why it requires visiting a specialist/main dealer. The update is also designed to be carried out alongside multiple telematics module updates, which aren't DIY 🙂 Our price was for all of the available updates on the vehicle, a main dealer will only carry out the updates you meet the criteria for based on your complaints. The hybrid battery seal is something that definitely needs doing though!
  5. There will be updates available to fix the KESSY, it had known issues with the early builds
  6. You can get updates here for DIY, for considerably less 🙂 www.eastyorkshireretrofits.co.uk It's worth noting some versions should NOT be DIY updated, as they have other dependencies.
  7. ODIS/GEKO requires security clearance and approval by VWAG, along with an expensive diagnostic adapter. It's only available to businesses, not individuals If you update using pirated software, with stolen credentials and cloned tools - you're on your own when something goes wrong. 0 support from VWAG
  8. You're thinking of MOI3. This is MEN3, it uses completely different software 🙂. 1805 is currently the latest for this system
  9. Why do you want to update? If the update is necessary/applicable, there will be a TPI available with a software adaptation code for use within ODIS. This will handle any parameterisation if necessary You'll likely find the update was rolled out as part of a campaign containing updates for multiple control modules
  10. This will only work if you have multicolour ambient lighting activated, which as mentioned above is a protected feature. If you don't, no Bueno
  11. You can, it's something we do regularly 🙂
  12. Aswell as 4 replacement lights assemblies, there's wiring needed between the lights and the body control module. There's then software changes to allow them to function
  13. Drive modes aren't located in the infotainment unit, they're in the diagnostic gateway. They aren't functional without a valid license for each drive mode We can install them though 🙂
  14. This is simply just how aggressive/economically the ACC itself behaves. You only have the option to change it manually because you don't have drive modes, if you had them then the ACC would be adjusted automatically Drive modes are SWaP so protected features They can be added but they're not cheap. It's not just a case of adding a button and turning it on
  15. 2023 Skoda Kodiaq fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Completely error free & operating as if factory fit. We used nothing but new genuine parts allowing us to offer a 2 year warranty. If your vehicle has Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) then we can install Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (PACC). We can also activate Traffic Sign recognition. https://eastyorkshireretrofits.co.uk/products/skoda-kodiaq-front-assist-to-adaptive-cruise-control-acc-upgrade?variant=42733059866789
  16. We can retrofit this for you, if you send us the reg of a vehicle you're considering then we can advise on cost 😇
  17. OBDeleven/VCDS/ODIS/VCP/VCtool/ Similar Infotainment system Adaptations Apple DIO - Enable Google Gal - Enable You may also require a replacement USB port to use Apple devices. This would then require further coding If the activation was carried out by a specialist such as ourselves, or a main dealer; then the above would be taken care of
  18. The activation document contains 3 codes to be entered when prompted within ODIS
  19. You need to enable the Carplay & Android Auto menu entries via coding.
  20. That camera isn't compatible with your car... MQBevo is a different kettle of fish.
  21. It's currently impossible to record a reversing camera retrofit on the Octavia (despite the false claims other companies make). If/when it does become possible, then we'll do it. An OTA update will never affect the installation. What could is a dealer/independent such as ourselves carrying out an update that results in an online software configuration or a replacement control module being installed which again would require online configuration. Thankfully, the camera itself will never be affected. The worst that could happen is we would post a diagnostic adapter to the customer which would allow us to reinstate the camera remotely with minimal inconvenience to the customer. 🙂
  22. I don't think you can really compare the MK4 Octavia to the MK2
  23. That depends on the spec, the VRS for example usually already has the largest available cooling system This isn't the case, atleast in the UK anyway Yes there are some models that aren't type approved for towing anything, however most are fine regardless of tow bar prep being installed/not installed
