  3. As an aside to this post, how I determine what version of the engine I have ? (EA111 or EA211) Vin identifies engine as "6" (the fifth digit in the VIN) 2014 1.4 CTHE
  4. I believe the doors are supposed to "run" the rainwater inside the door to the drain holes at the bottom, (I stand to be corrected) TBH we could title a song "12 months rain" in the uk
  5. Next step is data sent to authorities, insurance companies and newly set up automatic fine systems etc etc etc Long gone are the modified Cosworth days Always drive within the law and responsibly as I do
  6. Looks like I've found the issue, leaking down from the speaker, removed ad sealed with Dum Dum (The genuine rocky horse poo, been stored in my shed for 20 years) all drains clear, need some rain to check (shouldn't have to wait very long 😀) err being rained on as we speak (well it is the summer)
  7. here's one I caught earlier this morning, I keep getting directed to "search" the fabia mk2 forum where the solution will be found but still unable to find the thread that had photos etc
  8. Resurrecting this thread as I nee detailed "how to" with pictures if possible (seen some on here but no amount of searching has unearthed it), I would like to re seal both front door carriers etc and may well take a look ate rears as well. Any assistance as always greatly welcomed
  9. I only maintenance wash myself by hand, fly by night handwashers are appalling never use one in over 10 years possibly as bad now are dealer m/c washes when in for service etc, I ask for the golf and fabia "not" be washed and they are good at complying

  14. I've got the Fabia booked in with my detailer this Friday, I like to think I maintain my paintwork in good order but after seeing what was possible on my golf I'm keen to let him loose on the fabia, I can then maintain the paintwork for the next 12 months I'll post some pics Friday
  15. Mine automatically re-locks if a door isn't opened within 1 minute and I have all doors unlock with a single press, if the car locked and you unlocked with one press your wife's door would have been locked when she closed it and not open on exit ?
  16. Seen when we changed the front shock absorbers last week (can be done without disconnecting hub nut), used genuine is a viable option
  17. Have you tried pressing the unlock button on the fob twice ?
  18. My l/h drive shaft is quite corroded where the hub nut attaches, I think if we need to do any intervention on that side requiring hub nut removal the threads will no longer exist, where is the best source of a "good quality" reasonably price spare (Drive shaft) for future use ?

  21. I was fortunate there were no existing scratches, unfortunately i think whatever you apply won't mask the scratches
  22. I fitted a screen protector a soon as I picked up the car as I know how fragile they can be
  23. I change spark plugs annually as I'm aware of the issue (Thanks to this forum)
  24. @Murdockman thanks I have checked and the drains are clear, after rain when I open the door and there's a puddle on my cill / seal the water runs then out of the drains
  25. I've read a thread in the past on re sealing the inside of the drivers and passengers door bottom but can't seem to find it again, can anyone point me in the right direction please
