  1. Have you tried to change privacy settings? One step back from unrestricted helped me as it seems for now. Would you share contacts how to contact Skoda factory? I'd like to chat with them. Any time I ask dealer to contact them, the only answer they give is that they can't do so unless car is there and connected to their tools 🤦‍♂️ And I have an impression that every time car is there, workshop staff just ignores whatever obesrvations I share with them. So I got stuck in constant "MIB replacement -> update -> wait till same issue" loop and they don't want to look anywhere else. Perhaps it is some communications module which triggers MIB, if just changing privacy (and thus connectivity) settings helps.
  2. Better let your dealer do it under warranty. They might take a week to do so, but at least you won't have any troubles with them later if something else needs to be done.
  3. Say no more! Got a call from dealer today that my car is ready. They said Skoda did some coding remotely and they also installed 1941. Of course they repeated 10 times that they tested the car extensively and all is working great. As usual after service, I got the car with maximum privacy mode switched on, so before leaving I set up everything as I used to have. Just some 10 seconds after I switch privacy mode to unrestricted, on-off loop began again Receptionist, when witnessed the problem, asked if I want to leave the car with them or I want to take it. I told them that, as usual, I will enjoy having a car for a couple of days and I'll bring it back.
  4. Brought it there on Monday 3rd and yes, complained that all issues stay the same and a bunch of new issues arrived, including issue with Travel Assist - steering wheel stopped sensing my hands on it unless I squeeze it very hard. Specifically complained that for the second time already they gave me car back with the oldest possible SW. The car is still there and they haven't provided even any initial info since then. Bothering importer's customer support every other day, but these guys are useless as well. "The Official Repair Service is in consultations directly with the manufacturer, so we expect them to have a solution in a relatively short time." is their response. Bla bla bla... Never ever thought I will spend 36k on a car just to bring it constantly to workshops and living without it.
  5. True. When I brought my car last time citing TPI, the guy on reception was veeeery curious. When I got back the new MIB with 1668 on it, I had both - same reboots and on/off loops as on 1986, and many other issues I hadn't before which come with the older SW.
  6. I'm sure that is the case... If something was retrofitted later, I doubt they'll do anything. Will be interesting to follow Mario_Delgado's case and see what they are going to do and for what price.
  7. 48S5 must be applied free of charge as it is a known issue and fix was released after warranty was already over for many affected cars.
  8. Didn't have this issue on 1986, it was remembering that I want it to be open on classic AC. Have this again on 1668. So I guess you might have an old software.
  9. I tend to agree with that. Mine was replaced twice, no result. Now my car is at workshop again, I insisted on them to install 1941 on top of whatever they intend to do. Will see in what condition I'll get the car back this time.
  10. That is my case as well. Even after they changed my MIB (MCU, Infotainment... I got lost already how to call that) for the second time, issue continued the very next day. Infotainment itself is draining battery. I have another visit to a workshop next week, but I have little hope 1941 will solve the issue. And these guys probably will change MIB for the 3rd time, which obviously won't help either. Meanwhile, warranty expires in 2 months, so I guess the only option left for me is to sue Skoda.
  11. Anyone could check if 1941 is compatible with older cars (2020) with H56? Asking here because my dealer is unresponsive again and I still don't know if they can install it for me...
  12. Since people were showing their software versions, I checked mine and it is VW as well, surprisingly.
  13. What I have to do to have such OTA update? While having this car, I had a dozen of updates coming, but non were affecting software version or anything visibly at all, except maybe shop and manuals. Thank you!
  14. That was the one following which they replaced MCU in my car. Did you download the document and could share it with us, by any chance?
  15. That is what I will try to do, thanks. My problem is that since I'm connecting to erwin from Spain, all the documents are in Spanish which I don't understand much, and it doesn't switch to other languages. It is not that easy to find anything there, but worth trying, of course.
  16. Any advice on how to get it via dealer's workshop? I mean, usually no matter what you ask for, they 'know better' what to do. I'm supposed to come for an update, but my guess they will again install 1896 even if ask for 1941. So, perhaps there is a list of specific issues I'd need to mention for them to install this one?
  17. If you first connect via cable, and then switch on wifi, the data still goes via cable until you unplug it. So no surprise it didn't restart. Anyway, guys, if anyone is interested in my case still. As I told before, I got my car with MCU replaced and on 1668 software. Since a few reboots the next days after I got my car back, indeed, as workshop promised, I had no more reboots. No surprise, since on this software version I have no wireless AA and I'm only using cable now. However, the amount of random errors which hadn't occurred before is increasing every day. Just a few examples: sound volume may be only lowered and won't go back up, sound doesn't play via infotainment at all (AA is connected, Waze is running, but music only goes via phone loudspeaker), sudden failure of backing camera, sudden failure of parking sensors, etc. It all gets fixed either by restarting car or, if it doesn't help, manual reboot of infotainment. We had quite cool weeks here in Madrid and now as heat came back, I expect infotainment again to go into constant on-off loop and drain by battery. Will see. I contacted dealership and Skoda's customer support to reject this car, but till now we found no solution. The only thing dealer offers is to buy this car back (with depreciation of price), on which I have to tell them that if they'll by this car for less money, that basically means that I paid that amount for not having a car half of the time and constantly bringing it to a workshop, which is ridiculous if you think about it in that way. If there is someone from Spain and could give me advice on how to legally proceed from here, I'd be happy to get some help.
  18. Nope. I mean, reception guys in workshops are pretty useless, they just receive and give out cars. Hadn't had opportunity to speak to technicians, but given that I wen to 3 different workshops in total already 8 times, I wouldn't trust them either. When I try to speak to importer I could only reach customer support, which is not that bad because they kick my dealer to do smth, but can't do much apart of that. So I figured myself I can either remove charging schedules and leave the car on constant charge, since it is PHEV and it is charging 12V battery while connected to the grid, either pull fuse 30. The problem with pulling fuse is that I'm not sure that is infotainment alone drains my 12V battery. If I lock the car and stay inside, I hear some sounds from every few minutes, the same clicks and movements as if I'm approaching the car for the first time in the morning and it wakes up.
  19. Welcome to the club! What you describe I had last year. After 'updates' didn't solve the issue, they changed media control unit. It helped for about half a year. This year again they were sending me off with 'updates' and when they understood it doesn't help, they changed media control unit again. Issues continued the very next day! This thing drains my 12V battery to such extent that I already had to call roadside assistance once just to jump start me in the morning. I noticed that in my case this behavior starts or intensifies when it is becoming hot outside (25+). So I blame those touchless buttons or gesture recognition (seriously, who even needs that in a car?). But issue may be wherever else. And I won't hope for a fast fix. It took Skoda 3 years to come up with new configuration of the camera to fix TA failures. What can we expect from them?
  20. Frankly, I have doubts they will upgrade 2020 cars to this version. Haven't seen one upgraded past 1896, while 1899 and 1900 exist. Might be that hardware won't support further SW versions.
  21. So... ask me in 100 years what hasn't changed, and I'll tell you Skoda still doesn't bother to update software after doing changes to the car. Same as previous time (different workshop though) they changed my media control unit. Unsurprisingly I got the same part number, same H56 and... software 1668 So till next visit to a workshop I have no even wireless android auto and same all bugs with switching users and random errors popping up when car starts up. How tired I am of all this bs.
  22. Finally they are changing media control unit again. Ordered on Friday, promise to install it no later than Wednesday. I hope this one will work longer than half a year, cause my warranty is about to be over and this control unit costs 1,5k+.
  23. Mine was replaced last year on my second visit to a workshop, after they got kicked by customer support. It took them one week to get it and replace it. This year I visited them twice already and they still try to solve issue applying some software updates. This time even TPI was mentioned - TPI 2064590/2 - perhaps anyone could check what's inside? Anyway, didn't solve the issue as infotainment went crazy just 15 minutes after I left workshop. Yep. I'm going tomorrow for my 7th... or already 8th visit to a workshop. Every time car is there for a few days at least. Nothing stops my loan payments, nobody reimburse me for taxi I have to take while without my car, etc...
  24. And my reboots are back! Hooray!
  25. Well, mine was restarting every day while driving only in Madrid. However, after I went for software update related to TA failures, infotainment became stable as well and hadn't rebooted once.
