Enable speed limiter on a car with ACC
It should be possible through simple OBDEleven or VAGCOM Coding, although I cant guarantee it. I don't believe there is an indicator stalk available with both ACC and a MODE button to change the modes, and im not aware of the fabia dashboard being capable of doing this in its place. I can drop you the coding if you'd like, and you could see what it does, but there likely wouldnt be a way to change between the two modes - and it may just throw up errors.

headlights adaptation
best of luck! let me know if you need any help in the meantime

headlights adaptation
Left Cluster Daytime Running Light - 3SL VRB36 Right Cluster Daytime Running Light - 2SL VLB22 These are the channels you need for the DRL's. This is for UK Vehicles, Right hand drive. I am not sure if the adaptations change when the vehicle is Left Hand Drive, Although I imagine not. So looking at channel 2. Theres no way to adapt it as such to only work with ignition on, That would be a wire/power supply job not adaptations, however you can change the operation of the DRL, Say instead of being a DRL, To have it come on only when the headlights are on. To do this, It would simply be a case of 09 Central Electrics -> Adaptation -> Leuchte2SL VLB22 -> Light Function A2 from Tagfahrlicht to Abblendlicht Rechts. Essentially tells the module to tell on with the right low beam, not the "DRL". Now, There are 3 extra channels in the adaptation, Type Of Load 2, Lampendefektbit Position 2 and Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 2. PERHAPS these may help in your quest to stop flickering from occuring, but i have no idea what the last two truly do. Do so at your own risk, and take backups! Type of Load 2 is most likely to hold your answers - This tells the car what type of lamp it is. Xenon, Halogen, LED, Wattage, Etc. Maybe by attempting to tell it its a different type of LED lamp, this will fix the issue. Again, Do so at your own risk. I hope this helps you in your quest, it does sound truly annoying!

Mk3 Fabia Owners Register
I’d reccomend checking around different sites. skoda-parts.co.uk are good, better for when you live in europe. also got kopacek.com, even just ebay, or try find a breaking monte near you to rip parts from.

Indicators stuck on
Its easy to change should you know how to not make an airbag explode. I did this myself when I retrofit cruise control myself. I still have my old indicator stalk should you need one - Its a non-cruise control stalk though so if your vehicle has that mine wouldnt do. To replace, remove airbag, take wheel off, remove clockspring, unscrew the stalk and pull it off. There are two tiny screws holding the stalk itself together. I made the error of thinking these held it in place, unscrewed them and almost made my stalk 100 different pieces.

SAFE message on Maxidot
Does the car start and drive okay? Typically SAFE is shown when the immoboliser isnt happy. Perhaps a fault, or an unauthorised key?? Is your EPC light showing when engine is lit, and does the key remote unlock work?

Guidance on changing rear brake pads needed?
https://cardiagn.com/skoda-fabia-mk3-brake-systems/ Here you'll find the workshop manual for everything to do with the brake system on the Mk3. I used it to replace all my pads about a month ago, quite handy. Shows the torques you need, too.

In hindsight…
ahhh I get you, Perhaps as you don’t use CC you’ll be getting great economy by “pulse & gliding” which is meant to be the most economical way to drive. I cant be arsed with that, Stick cruise control on and relax (sort of)

In hindsight…
I do all these things! I run Unleaded 99, tyres at 34-35 PSI, and often on the 35 mile commute to from work i’ll sit with the cruise sat at 60!! Suppose, living up north our roads aren’t renowned for being dead flat.

In hindsight…
very impressive mpg, ive never seen anywhere near that and im running the same car, model and engine xD. Highest ive achieved is 62mpg but I average 50 😞 whats your secret?!

Car alarm keeps sounding
Interesting to know for future, as I had issues with my car alarm going off at silly o clock in the morning. Thought it was thieves but set up a camera to watch it and, nothing. For me, replacing my car battery had fixed the issue as it was the same battery from factory so 6 yr old, but if it keeps going off again (as it did once a few months after changing the car battery, but not since) ill look into this.

Auto Door Locks at 15Kmh
Hi there, I dont know off the top of my head but it should still be in 09 control units long coding? If not, Have a look in 09 - Adaptations - Access Control. I have an option called "Automatisches Verriegeln bei Geschwindigkeit" (translates to Automatic locking at speed).

The "new" Fabia 3 Monte Carlo spec - storage box/armrest over handbrake?
I really like those guages you've fitted into the air vent, Were they custom made/3D printed or can you buy them somewhere?

Converting halogen high and low beam to LEDs
I also found that LED's were rubbish in my low beam projectors, You got a link to the HID Kit you use please? Im skeptical about fitment as 1) its a real pain to fit bulbs to the fabia and 2) since its so tight bigger kits dont fit. Do you think it'd also be worth HIDs in the high beam reflectors too? The LEDs I have in there are like laser beams, great for straight long roads, not so great for the windy ones!

Fabia Mk3 (2017) Cruise Control Retro Fit
Hey pal, I had this done. I was quoted £350 by a dealership to do this. Coding, Parts, Labour. It went to ****e when they fit a faulty stalk and denied it was faulty, told me it "wasn't possible". The car remained coded for it, So I bought the stalk I needed from a breaking car off ebay, fit it myself and hey, it worked! Then told the dealer I had it fitted elsewhere and got a full refund, so the £350 work only cost me £60. If you need any part numbers or advice, let me know as this retrofit depends greatly on other compatible part numbers. If you know how to remove a steering wheel and unscrew things, its quite easy to do. The part was £60 for me from a breaking car, brand new anywhere from £100-200. Coding would be about £50-100 for the part and labour.

Dash light level fluctuates
Mine does this when power load is high, such as when my subwoofer is particularly thumpy. I have my dash lights dimmed fully at night, so I dont see it whilst driving, however my LED's do dim/brighten depending on my acceleration so engine power usage etc.

Roof interior replacement possible?
You havent had the best of luck have you?! Best advice would be to do it yourself. Itll be a tackle but its do-able. Find a broken fabia and get a quote on a headliner, or check out this ebay post thats £100. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324456432871 Can you send a photo of how it looks, Maybe theres an alternative to replacing it.

Carbon Mirror Caps
Hello, I bought some from aliexpress for £30 ish, theyre for a skoda Rapid but the caps are the same as the mirrors are identical! They're not real carbon, but carbon effect and its nice to be fair. Unfortunately aftermarket parts makers often look over the fabia and dont give us nice aftermarket parts! See attached. Need any other help or advice drop me a DM here or on instagram, RedFabiaUK IMG-4106 (1).mov

Lewis' 2017 Fabia 1.2TSI: Log & Guide (ish)
Quick update from the past few days. Today I enabled ESC Sports mode and ESC OFF in my car settings, this allows me to set the ESC/ASR System to Active/ESC Sport/ESC Off. Works fine. Cruise Control was also fitted with the new stalk working grand. Dealer clearly talking ****e when they say the retrofit "isnt compatible". If anyone wants to do so themselves drop me a DM and ill try help out.

Lewis' 2017 Fabia 1.2TSI: Log & Guide (ish)
New update, Some will know ive had a reoccuring issue with a dealership and a cruise control retrofit going awfully hideously wrong. Anyway, Before I take it to a VW Retrofitter and pay more mad bucks for an attempted fix, I'm going to try it myself. i've ordered a new steering wheel stalk (6C0953501P IGI, or 6C0953513F, not entirely sure as it has both on it) and will be fitting it myself and it should (fingers crossed) fix the main beams issue I had. No coding is required by me as its already coded for CC. Once the part arrives ill be following instructions of the excellent @wirer from his brilliant blog (which you should check out, by the way https://wirer.sk/f3_tempomat/) and letting you's know how it went

David Ian Ltd - Morecambe..
Cant honestly vouch for any garages as I usually do work myself, or if things go wrong they’ve gone wrong outside of home. Ive heard good things about kendal VW center from some pals who have used them. Maybe have a read of this https://www.lancasterguardian.co.uk/news/people/16-mechanics-and-garages-in-lancaster-and-morecambe-with-a-perfect-5-star-rating-from-google-reviews-4025554 personally i’d always go independant instead of a dealer, I unfortunately had to use a dealer for the work I wanted. Another VW money making tactic 🤣

Coding Questions
Strange, Mine seems to be the same but with the addidition of fogs with headlight flasher - which I put there. I cannot figure out why only one side indicator enables the fog and the other doesnt, both sides seem identical? Also, I tried the steering and throttle options. Throttle I havent noticed much difference except a bit responsive maybe - possibly just placebo effect though? Will update on my motorway drive tommorow as should be noticable there. As for steering, Dynamic did make the wheel heavier and sportier, which i like!
