  1. Are you wearing polarised sun glasses?
  2. No warning but the key was still working but the range was down and sometimes i had to press the button again closer to the car. Putting my hand on the door still worked ok. And worst case i could have taken out the physical key from the fob.
  3. The remote button on my key started being intermittent after 18 months use. It was fine again after I replaced the battery. I'd recommend reading up on how to unlock the car with the physical key and start it by placing the dead fob in the cupholder.
  4. Is anyone else still getting this issue? I have December 2025 Combi/Estate 2.0 Tsi that still does this every few weeks.
  5. Simple test - Is your gear selector a stalk to the left of the steering wheel? If so then this is the right forum. If the gear selector is in the centre console you have a Mk 3 Superb and you need to ask in the associated forum.
  6. On a long run I get ~35 - 40 mpg and around town 30 mpg
  7. The windscreen heater uses a conductive film rather than wires. Ifyoucatch the windscreen in certain lighting conditions you can see a coloured layer inthe screen. Where is thecamera mounted?
  8. The messages you show are related to the car trying to connect to a wifi hotspot. Disable the wifi connection and the messages will stop.
  9. Have you tried adjusting the Light Sensor Sensitivity? (Picture is from a Superb but the system is much the same.)
  10. Does the car have the DCC+ suspension option? If so then the noise is "as designed". It's an issue on all VW group models with active suspension.
  11. If this case is won on the basis that the car is dangerous will that result in a "No Drive" order for all current VAG models? And I guess a lot of other cars types with similar technolgy. Could be interesting!!
  12. Set it to Sport Mode then use the paddles. It won’t reset to Automatic.
  13. The map on the drivers display is the internal Skoda map. There is also no route drawn on it if you use Google maps. John. The phone warning also went quiet for me. Can you let me know if they fix it.
  14. @Trickiejohn Glad to hear you are enjoying your new ride! The dip stick type depends on the engine type/size. On the google maps front: When you say you get maps on both screens do you mean actual maps or just the directional arrows/stick diagrams of the junctions?
  15. Electrically heated front windscreen
  16. Just had an email to say that erWin will no longer allow private customers to access the system. It's a shame that they the closing this optioun off for self diagnosis. 17. @BabyDog On the Tsi engine the gear indicator doesn't change when coasting engages. All you see/hear is the engine revs drop. To try it out make sure you are in Eco mode (E in the gear indicator) not in ACC or Cruise Control Mode Find a flat or slightly downhill fast road. Get up to speed (50 mph+). Take you foot of the accelerator and watch the rev counter. It should drop to idle. If you break, accelerate, or the road is steep enough for the car to start runing away then the gear will re-engage. The gear indicator won't show N.
  18. Based on my 2.0 tsi - To get coating to work you need to be in the ECO Driving Profile (or in INDIVIDUAL profile with Drive mode set to Eco) I believe that Driving Profile is only available if you have DCC suspension. Hybrids are different.
  19. It seems to be a common issue. Has anyone with the 90EE update still got it?
  20. Have a look for second hand ones. Winchester Skoda has a 2.0 4x4 second hand in stock.
  21. My old Audi had the same issue as does the Superb. I tend to tap the accelerator briefly to trigger teh brake release then pull away 1/2 a second later. So at traffic lights I tap the accelerator when the lights start changing. By the time they are green the car is creeping and will pull away smoothly.
  22. After 10 months of ownership the Subperb L&K has been fine. The only lingering issue is a creak round the drivers door which I cant be bothered to get the dealer to look at till it needs to go in for something else. On the look and feel. Its not as elegant inside as my old A$. The rectangular drivers display with enormous bezels is ugly. But its easy to drive and comfortable. For me the physical "smart dials" and heater controls are an essential. I hate poking at touch screens when driving. So thats a winner for the Superb. If you want physical controls then the choice is very limited now. People who have travelled with me are usually surprised at the interior quality and the ride. When you explain the price vs a BMW 5 series (similar size) people get the reason for buying one.
  23. I have the same problem. Mine weems to go away if I open the window a crack. I've tried lubing the door seals but it still happens.
  24. @IslandDweller Google Maps used to be the same - The turn instructions appeared in the drivers display with Android but not with Apple. Google Maps has been updated recently for Apple so that it displays the turn instructions in the drivers display (and heads up display) in the same way that it does for Android. Hopefully WAZE will get around to updating theirs too. I do prefer the built in maps because of the map display between the dials.
  25. The factory fit wipers are made of cheese. Mine did last 6 months though.
