  1. How much difference could a clogged condenser cause? Flies and dirt etc? Could it be only that which is the case of poor cooling?
  2. You can look for metal particles in the fuel, take fuel filter out etc, won't really log a code untill the pump starts struggling to provide enough pressure but even before then you would probably notice running issues.
  3. Any idea what makes Skoda cards special? Any scripts you can run and use a normal card?
  4. In over 20 years in the motor trade Arnold Clark vehicles have been the worst I've seen out of anything. I don't know why? Low miles, high miles. Rusty as hell and they just seem to break.
  5. Interesting, I have never saw an old Skoda. Oldest being the felicia 1.3 OHV I think. Rattly as hell.
  6. What card have you got there? Is it for your make and model? I called VW today to get a card for a golf 7 and they said it's on back order as the new card comes out soon, so they can't sell one obviously as when the new one comes out customer might complain it's not .up to date.
  7. The high pressure pump itself could be breaking up allowing particles to enter the fuel system/injectors.
  8. That's why I went for a petrol instead.
  9. The Injector bolt are stretch bolts and should be replaced.
  10. Ideally you want to remove the tank and hoses and flush them but it's not realistic and also very time consuming, not to mention expensive. You will never remove everything without replacing all parts you just have to do the best you can.
  11. Once it gets to around 50-60 it won't regen. But different cars have different amounts.
  12. Can't really compare a karoq to a fabia but even just lowering the car slightly with some quality springs will make it feel more planted and responsive on the turns. If you go full shocker/springs you might ruin the ride completely. Can't really tell untill you have done the job. Be nice if you know anyone with a modified car that will let you drive it.
  13. The entire fuel system needs to be flushed and cleaned if changing injectors on these engines. Even the slightest amount of dirt/dust etc can ruin new parts. Just touching the injectors can cause them to become blocked. You may be able to remove them and get professionally cleaned and get away with it.
  14. Ionic N 😉 ****es over literally anything available lol
  15. Sounds a bit pricey but I'm a mechanic so I suppose labour would be a big chunk of that which I don't take into account.
  16. I'd go for a the non rsline fabia I think they are called sport monte Carlo or something, very similar looking and still a nippy engine. How much do you value comfort as they aren't going to be as good as the Octavia.
  17. Check out mibhelper online and type in your versions/vin number. If you want to wait the new cards will be out soon then you won't have to update the system. Or buy one now then you will have to update that again soon.
  18. I like the zx1 wheels and also the pretoria from the golfs.
  19. My car was ex hire so they stole everything out of it 😠 torch, hi Vis, all spare wheel equipment etc.
  20. You will usually get a very small amount of dust but shouldn't really be able to see any fibres. Have you removed the top cover and inspected the belt?
  21. It's annoying though as some cars don't do it, so there is a problem but not bad enough for them to warrant any repairs.
  22. There is a tpi about spraying the toothed belt with special lubricant
  23. It's normal, no problems.
  24. It's not really an easy ting to check, could be hundreds of wires around that area. Are you sure battery health is good and no stored codes in any computers?
  25. It's common for wires to corroded along the chassis leg under/behind the air filter housing and fuse box. Also seen main earth to the gearbox completely broken or defective causing high resistance too.
