  1. Very common its part of the evap system to recirculate fuel vapours from the tank to the engine. Fitted loads. Full pipe usually comes with the purge canister valve and resonator etc. if you look at the resonator that clips into the coolant tank then there should be a part number you can use.

  6. You could do with some software to operate all the valves and pumps to bleed it, vacuum bleeding isn't mandatory.
  7. So the noise was cured and came back after a while?
  8. I would make sure they are checking the wiring and signals from the ECU before replacing. A lot of the time maf codes can be plausibility and be down to something else like air leaks, egr valves and O2 sensors etc.
  9. Can the mounts be fitted to Octavia? And what about with beam suspension?
  10. Tyres will look stretched with the 225s and more risk of kerb damage
  11. Might be worth checking the ac gas, I had similar noise after gas amount was incorrect.
  12. I drove one today and was shocked by the noise, vibration and harshness compared to my MK3. Not to mention the sloppy gear change..maybe the car has just been abused in that case. Seems to have a different gearbox to the MK3.
  13. Check the heater core pipes, has it ever had a heater core fitted?
  14. Alright I currently have the conti eco contact 6 on front and can't say the noise is bad. Original Dunlop's on the back could do with changing as they have done 52000 miles.
  15. If it doesn't turn then the clutch is seized, the alternator can still turn and operate with a broken clutch.
  16. Have you tried turning the inside of the alternator to see it it rotates?

  20. Are they the all season ones? I see they are better than the cross climate Michelin in a lot of tests.
  21. Is the car not still under warranty? You need to have computer to update software and obviously the file you want to put on ECU.
  22. Try throttle clean and readaptation usually gets it through the mot.
  23. Check the corrugated pipe where it clips into the cambelt cover, give it a gentle wiggle. They usually split there. New part is around £138 if I remember correctly.
