  1. You can add wireless connectivity so you don't need to use a cable?
  2. They do a full solid version. I did an inspection on a 2012 A1 today and it had original solid bushes.
  3. The guy who fitting the 12vs did the timing belt too?
  4. You can fit the polyurethane ones.
  5. Does the noise change with different road surfaces? If so then it's probably tyre related.
  6. I'd have thought the silicone spray would do the trick, might be worth taking the weather strip off the door at the bottom of the window so you can get better access with the spray.
  7. The are pretty reliable, front suspension arm rear bushes wear quite quickly. Check for any oil around where the engine meets the gearbox as oil can leak past the flywheel. Make sure the service history adds up, spark plugs at 40k. It's an 11 year old car now now anything could go wrong tbh, coils springs etc but the dealer should have checked that stuff.
  8. I don't think that engine even has the sleeve type water pump, my guess is you have some bad wiring/connection to one of the sensors. And every now and again it is moving around causing guage to spike up.
  9. Great little motor, I would of had it but just got an Octavia
  10. Drop the car down and it will line up
  11. You'll probably need a right angle pick it a small screwdriver to push on the clip and release the plug, there are plenty of guides on here if you use the search.
  12. I'm not sure what you were expecting is allowed on the forum. But I might have been thinking similar.
  13. You can use VCDS and infotainment update to get power update and the door handle I have the same problem, rough technician damages the card.
  14. You'll probably need a pick to press down on the release form the plug, why are you trying to remove it?
  15. Maybe got a leaf or something in there could try taking the cabin filter out and blowing all the vents and cabin filter housing with compressed air.
  16. They do wear eventually but only through very high miles or abuse.
  17. Shame any extras tip it over 40k
  18. If the battery is bad you usually start to get start stop errors even though the engine starts and runs ok.
  19. Would be helpful if you could upload a video with the noise.
  20. Who knows what the car has had done to it in the past? Adaptions could have been deleted and reset or maybe not, I recommend using genuine or dealer level software and comparing it to your app that you are using.
  21. It is a stupid idea, the higher end cars use rubber hoses, with the rocking of the engine back and forth while driving they are bound to split. Not to mention go brittle over time
  22. It is possible that someone has damaged it when working on the vehicle as they are very brittle plastic.
  23. Yeah they always go in pretty much the same place. Sometimes can sound like a knocking noise. You could try putting some quality tape around it if it isn't split right at the end.
