  1. You can but you will never get it to the manufacturers level. You're supposed to lock the selector and then remove 2 drain plugs on the bottom of the box.
  2. You could try will they fit.com it gives you the circumference and other details.
  3. You should never have to adjust the cable, if you do you have a problem. Either the cable or calipers faulty.
  4. The level is above the Allen plug, so you cannot get it correct by removing the plug. You refill through the reverse switch on top of the box.
  5. Jerking at low speeds when first starting the engine is normal unfortunately.
  6. You can only drain and refill, not top up.
  7. Any update? I think you need to look at the low temp viscosity as most of these oils don't come anywhere near to the OE.
  8. That's why you take it to a private garage to get a full service at half the price of an oil service 🤣
  9. Common on the vag group, synchros/baulk rings. You can try adjusting the cables might help a bit but I doubt it. That's assuming they used the correct oil.
  10. They are very sensitive to voltage, id get the battery and alternator checked out.
  11. Just to note I did see around 65mpg and still rising from my 1.5 at around 60-65 mph, but I can't drive like that I'm too impatient.
  12. Yes sorry it's seems to pick up quickly with less throttle
  13. Is maf is good you have egr stuck, or wiring ECU fault.
  14. Id go for the 1.0, I work in a garage and it's a lot easier to get good economy. The 1.5 takes around 15-20 minutes before you start to see any decent mpg. I also own a 1.5 too. If the engine is warm the 1.5 is fine but if you don't need the extra power 1.0 is also fine 🤣 the 1.5 is also very nippy tbh, feels better than my 1.5 up to motorway speeds.
  15. Image looks like it's time for a new cap at least. Coolant seeping past the threads. Needs further investigation afterwards to see if system is over pressuring.
  16. Usually shock absorber if your struggle to find the noise, has it ever had and springs fitted or work to the suspension? Wheels bolts tight??
  17. The breather on top of the engine is a common fault, possibly causing an air leak effectively altering the air fuel ratio
  18. That looks like damage, has the wife been driving or?
  19. I went for the Yokohama v701
  20. I would recommend with replacing the thermostat first
  21. Nice, it's not easy to find these things
  22. I have Octavia 3 and there is noise when manoeuvring at low speed, is this the noise you are complaining of? Never really bothered me but it is there. Sure there is a bulletin about it and power steering motor.
  23. The 2.0 has a chain, plenty of common faults if you look on the forum. Main thing I would look out for is injector and carbon build up on intake valves. Not that you can check without investigating.
