  1. You do realise that all VAG group cars are very similar under the surface? The changes tend to appear on VW a little before Audi and Skoda. Seat sometimes lags behind. If you dive under the bonnet of your Skoda you'll see an awful lot of VAG makings on the parts. In the same way all 1.0 and 1.5 engines are built in the Skoda plant irrespective of the car they are used in. You should also be aware that there is a huge amount of stock in the pipeline, the date of a cars registration is meaningless. If you were given the Certificate of Conformity with the car (not mandatory and often binned by the dealer) you'll find the date of manufacture which is the relevant date to understand what the configuration of your car might be.
  2. Sos

Aldfort replied to Sickpillow's topic in Škoda Kamiq
The SOS module is a know issue with all VAG cars. There are TSB's about it so it should have been fixed ages ago. The fix is normally the SOS module but sometimes involves a change of steering wheel but this is usually only on VW cars with haptic controls.
  3. Definitive answer have been out yesterday. Also in the Golf R When in D mode my car (2025 registered 2023 built) only shows D in normal drive mode. If I switch to S mode it shows S1, S2 ...etc. If I use the flappy paddles it shows gear number. This applies to most VAG models with DSG after 2021. Certainly appliers to our Golf.
  4. The Welcome "user" message is baked in. If you don't set up a 2nd user on the 2nd key then both keys will result in the Welcome "user" screen. Same on all VAG products. When you exit you'll also get the goodbye screen and a reminder to take your phone with you.
  5. If you use S mode I think you'll find it gives the gear number. Also think it happens if you start changing gear yourself.
  6. I'm going to stick with my original thoughts: What Warrior has said is correct, there is a front sensor but it's for collision avoidance only. You should also see a dashboard symbol when you are too close to the vehicle in front. I think somebody may have attempted to "upgrade" your system without full knowledge but I could be wrong. Normally for park assist the information and camera image (if fitted) appears in the infotainment window. My suggestion is take it to the Skoda dealer, ask them and also have the software updated if they recommend it. Sometimes software updates are more trouble than they are worth. Also have you downloaded the manual for your car yet from the Skoda web site?
  7. That is standard cruise control. You have it turned on. Can you set a cursing speed with it? You do that using the little button on the very end of the stalk, you can just see it in your photo. Is the car new to you? It may be that somebody (previous owner) has attempted to enable a feature you don't have.
  8. Are you sure you have adaptive cruise? Are you sure you are turning it on before using the steering wheel controls? I don't have adaptive cruise but mine turns on on the lighting stalk. Do you have the owners manual? If not you can get it as a download from the Skoda web site.
  9. Are you certain these are not in line fuses or fuses you are supposed to fit?
  10. The picture you have posted looks like the passenger compartment fuse box. Škoda Kamiq 2025 Fuse Box - Fuse Box Info | Location | Diagram
  11. OK, I'm suspecting one of two things then: Either the display is part of the parking sensors (most likely) or it is part of the front collision assist. Does this display appear on it's own when you engage reverse gear? It is also entirely possible that you've navigated into a display for a function you don't have. Without you being a little more precise about how and when this display appears I'm out of ideas.
  12. Do you have adaptive cruise control or front collision assist? Or even rear park assist?
  13. You have to take out the gaiter around the gearstick, same as on other VAG cars.
  14. It's not a hack, the factory coding can be changed by any Skoda dealer, there are coding adaptions that are territory specific or in some cases greedy marketing departments want you to pay for something that you already have ( auto folding mirrors being a classic example.) Could you tell us who your Skoda dealer is please?
  15. ...and there are many videos on YouTube showing how to do this on VAG group cars. If you lack confidence then take the car to the dealer. Else it's just a case of prying the clips around the gaiter off. Best you use a special trim tool to do this.
  16. You seem to have posted this question before and had an answer? Creaking gear lever. How do I open it? - Škoda Scala - BRISKODA
  17. The car has hill hold assist only. The conditions for hill hold assist require the car to be on at least a 5% slope. Hill hold assist "works" for about 2 seconds allowing time for you to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator. You'll note the car uses a conventional manual handbrake unlike other similar models in the VAG line-up.
  18. Yes, important to make it clear to the electronics you are not wishing to move. Firm pressure on the brake keeps the clutches disengaged. Difficult if you spent years perfecting the jerk free stop in a manual!
  19. What do you mean it jerks forward? Are you possibly slightly releasing the brake pressure? If you are not using the Stop/Start (that is you turned it off) are you moving the car into N when you come to a stop? Lack of brake pressure might cause a partial engagement of the clutch pack if you remain in D. If Stop/Start is turned off then you may get premature wear of the clutch pack if you don't move to N.
  20. We were talking about a coding change, which cannot be done on newer vehicles. For sure there are gizmo's on ali express that can do what you have done, they probably also void your warrantee.
  21. The only movement instruction I can find is this one: It might vary be territory. Front head restraints are mandatory in the UK.
  22. I am not sure removal is permitted.
  23. Couple of things, either the wheel alignment has been set with the steering wheel off centre. Or the wheel alignment needs checking, or the steering wheel was fitted not quite right from new. Is there evidence of unequal wear on the tyres?
  24. Nope, but another member has had a problem.
  25. Be careful if going for an aftermarket solution. Poor fitment of speakers into the doors can cause water leaks into the cabin.
