Maybe in barking up the wrong tree but is the code that's required the one which VCDS automatically shows if you have an OEM cable? In other words, a non OEM cable won't show anything!

As @Tellmentions above, I seem to think that Columbus units from that year had to be updated with a DL DVD. The contents might not be the same as what’s in the download links too. Does @MartiniBknow anything?

Thanks @Schoda206. I’m going to check out the iBroadcast app as one issue I have with SD or USB storage as the car sometimes complains about file limits. This invariably happens when adding more music and would mean not having to have different source storage (SD2/USB2 etc) to resolve the issues.

As you have Canton, one of the options of to copy to the internal HD. You should be able to do this from any of the USB sockets.

I have a few times for the part which includes Real Time Traffic Information. Not done it recently due to car usage and Android Auto though. If the longer journeys restart then the sheer convenience of having everything integrated is a boon.

Replacement units from they era were usually by Kenwood. I can't remember what features they had but maybe they are lacking compared to some of the newer units. BTW I think component protection came with later cars.

@midlan What year is your car? SWMBO prefers to have the CH/LH option on her profile but I just consider it a waste of xenon power as we live in a decently lit area. If it only did the DRL’s then I may be persuaded to alter mine - the car park location assistance occasionally comes in handy too. 👍

The 1 hour limit starts from when you initially made the post or are you saying that you've joined and are still having issues? If so then give it another hour to line the cogs up. PM me if there's still an issue afterwards. 👍

Not too sure why you can't do it on a desktop - maybe add what browser you're using or try with a different one first. Post editing is allowed for the first hour unless you subscribe to one of the bargain Freedom options which adds (amongst other things) unlimited editing. 😉

There is a dedicated PC app that will check/amend to ensure the photos are also in the correct size format. Less than 500x500 IIRC.

I take it you're using a mobile device?

Sometimes it just needs a phone reset but that's what I'd try first. Failing that, go for a phone and infotainment reset afterwards. I'm on a late 13 beta at the moment but can't recollect any issues like yours.

My general thoughts on any hybrid is that they're really only a stop-gap before progressing to full EV. So in effect you're paying a premium for the technology but only getting sub optimal benefits.
