Rear lights
This may or may not be relevant but I’m (nearly) sure that I instated the ‘extra’ lights on a previous car via VCDS so hopefully it’s just a bit of tweaking involved.

Can a Sat Nav update overwrite a remap?
Absolutely not.

2021 Columbus sat nav map greyed out area?
I can't help but watching with interest to see if you get a solution.

You know all those new and used cars we haven't been buying during lockdown ...
You've obviously not taken into account that most cars have either 2 or 3 fobs so the total weight could be anywhere between 1,822kg and 2,733kg!

Use traffic sign recognition to adjust adaptive cruise control
I think that's only available on cars with predictive cruise control and your 2016 car won't have that.

It's quite normal and I get it more often in warmer weather.

Auto lights issue ?
A bit of a contradiction there George? Also DRL's including rear lights being programmed would be a better choice overall - just IMHO though.

Updating Bolero firmware
Hi. Please only use English on Briskoda.

Auto lights issue ?
Normally I think you give sage advice George but I wonder if this is correct? As you've already agreed that you drive with sidelights in daytime, surely a DRL is a better (brighter) bet than just a sidelight? Obviously different cars may have different options but for front lights I think this is generally the case? It may take additional steps to auto configure the rear lights but if combined with (a logical) auto sensing, then that ought to be a better option?

Mk 1 VRS Parts Clearout
I think that as a gesture of goodwill and considering the circumstances, we can allow the garage owner's details to be posted on this thread. However if @NathanG wishes to sell them on his behalf then he really needs to be a Freedom member to abide by the Rules.

Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Typical car forum responses above - totally ignoring the 'dapper' element of the question! Anyway, here's some items I spotted a couple of days ago that may suit a gent of your standing!

Rear camera/sound actuator?
Doesn't the camera stay active until 15km/h by default?

MY 21 - infotainment
This may help:-

-
Bolero head unit
Everything has a price but you won't have the radio code as it's embedded with the car. In saying that, maybe it's not too hard to find out. To sell on Briskoda you need to be a Freedom member BTW.

My Tesla Model 3 - so far
Apologies to @domhnall for this ever so slightly OT post but I was visiting the council tip recycling centre at the weekend and a Tesla pulled up nearby. Two people got out of the car and I had a double look as I thought the lad had got a familiar face. It didn't click until after I'd left but it is this guy who (amongst other things) happens to vlog about Teslas and actually lives in the same town - something which I wasn't aware of!
